Worst experience ever! I was there for a Bachelorette party and had no problem getting in at 8:30pm by 12:30am we were told we were kicked out because the mother of the bride was "too old to be there" Weird since she was the one buying shots and drinks all night for not only us but others at the bar. Our money was better off at a place that accepts everyone!

Waited in line for over an hour to get into this place. My partner took two steps out of line at one point to see how long the line was, and the bouncer saw him go back in to line. The bouncer came over to us, put his hand on my partner, and threatened, “You cut. If I see you up at the entrance, I’m turning you away.” And walked away without letting us explain that we’ve been standing in line for an hour! When we got to the front, the bouncer physically grabbed my partner before again trying to explain. The people around us had to vouch that we were in line for an hour, and a manager got involved. Honestly, it was traumatic how aggressive their staff were with us. Putting hands on somebody when they didn’t even get a chance to explain a situation they interpreted? That’s terrible. I will go somewhere else where I feel safe.

This has been one of the most horrible experiences. First, we booked tickets for the bar crawl in Portland, ME. We were promised free entry to multiple bars with the wristband. Not only did they deny us entry but they were letting young teenagers in before people with wrist bands that were prepaid because they were getting cash “under the table”. We were discriminated against and it completely ruined our night in Maine. Don’t get me started with the “bouncer” or Mall Cop… who thought he was the man. He needs to be fired and given a class on how to treat people. DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! The reviews don’t lie.

Great bar. The night we visited (Friday), there were multiple different soundtracks (main bar, upstairs, DJ on patio) -- all good, games to play, a chill crowd, reasonably priced drinks, and very efficient and friendly bar staff.

STAFF IS DANGEROUS!! Slipped down wet stairs and broke wrist on the way out and they kicked me out? Because I said I needed a second before leaving due to broken wrist. Absolute creeps. Don’t go here.

My son and his friends go to oasis quite often and typically have a good time. My son had one drink and went outside for a cigarette 40 minutes before closing. When he tried to go back inside the bouncer would not allow him to do so. It was 20 degrees outside and they wouldn’t let him have his coat. My son stood by the bottom step to wait for his friends and get his coat. The bouncer stepped forward and put his hand on my son. My son then threatened to call the police for assault. The bouncer then removed his hand. This is disgusting business practices and uneducated help. Obviously assault is too knotch over there. As a maine guide I will be posting my review publicly. Control your hired help!

Worst experience ever. They didn't want to let me into the establishment even though I had came in previously 10 min before. They didn't want a friend o mine who was sober to come in, they told us he was to drunk, I came in, I consumed, I went out, they saw me talking to my friend who they didn't let in, because he was "drunk" I tried to get in after that , they won't let me, I told them to test me with a alcohol breath test because I know I'm below the limit, they won't do the test and wouldn't let me in. Zero stars !!!!!

I have never written a Google review let alone a bad one, but after my experience and reading these reviews, I’ve got to give my warning. If these reviews are anything to go by, the bouncers at this place has some sort of power trip. After waiting in line, the bouncer wouldn’t let 2 of my friends in for being intoxicated even though we literally just arrived downtown and haven’t had a single drink. We were standing outside very casually talking the whole time; I cannot think of how someone would get the impression any of us were intoxicated. I was able to step in for a bit and the place wasn’t all that impressive. Nothing here you couldn’t find at a number of better clubs with better staff in Portland.

I've literally been all over the world and actually celebrating my 45th out of 50 states in Maine. I'm 30 and literally was told my ID was fake.. they then rejected to give to back, stealing my property. I had to call the police to get my ID back. Whoever the heavier set bouncer is, not the brightest crayon but A for effort. Been all over and never experienced anything like it

The bouncers here do not care about people. They witnessed a fight both inside and outside and did absolutely nothing to break it up. When the police came and asked what happened, they just denied the situation and washed their hands of it. This is not a safe place to go.

Bouncer was rude and kicked my friend out for no good reason. They did not let her let us know and took the water she had out of her hand. Place looks like a dirty trap house.

DON'T COME TO THIS PLACE!!!!!! Wish they where 0 stars. Bouncers are horribly aggressive, low tempered and plain stupid. Mainly be careful with the bouncer who has an eagle tattoo on his calve. I'm a woman and he yelled and touched me, UNACCEPTABLE. They are verbally and physically abusive. We had no trouble getting into other bars with our IDs but we tried entering and apparently the IDs were "fake". We tried to explain and asked but his low IQ was not having it even though we where all calm. What was the result? Yell and get physically aggressive. DON'T COME TO THIS PLACE AND GET THAT BOUNCER FIRED!!!!!!

Where to start? This “establishment” closes at 1am? My friend was over served and I asked to come in and bring my friend home at 12:32. The bouncer said “we are closed at 12:30”, and would not let me in. But his close friends after me were allowed to come in after-hours. There needs to be more transparency in the close process to everyone.

DO NOT GO!! My friend and I attended Santa-Con 2022, Oasis was the third and last bar we attended. Downstairs had a great atmosphere, bar tenders were very nice and accommodating. We went upstairs for the dancing and within 5 min were being touched and danced in by the bouncer. I told him multiple times that I was not interested, showed him my engagement ring a few times, he didn’t care. He wouldn’t not let up, trying to dance with me and eventually forcing himself into me, my friend had to forcefully pull me out of this man’s arms. He made comments about “not letting you friend or fiancé stop you from a good time” If you are planning on going here by yourself as a women, DO NOT.

This place is very scary and I honestly have no idea how they are legally open. The bouncer upstairs made me feel incredibly uncomfortable by getting closer and closer to us and watching us the entire time. Then my boyfriend went out to smoke a cigarette and the light skin bouncer wouldn’t let him back in. It was 14 degrees out and his jacket was inside. They wouldn’t let him get his jacket or allow him to let any of our friends know he couldn’t get back in. The bouncer proceeded to shove him and pushed him so hard on the sidewalk he has bruises on his back. To top it all of, we all lost our jackets. We tried to call the number but the number wasn’t real. So we called the cops. The cop on duty last night laughed at my boyfriend and did nothing. This morning we called to report it again, and the receptionist was pretty rude and told us to come to oasis at 5pm. I highly doubt we are getting any of our items back. The police doing nothing was the scariest thing of it all. This place should not legally be open nor the police department.

Was really enjoying our time, had two drinks and played games. It was so much fun. Went outside to smoke a cigarette and came back to being kicked out for smoking “inside of the bar”.Very disappointing. we were polite and was felt very disrespected with the way we were treated.

Staff was horrible. The bouncer was incredibly rude was clearly on a power trip. Watched him deny a guy in front of me with a whole head of grey hair and was clearly in 40s because he didn’t believe his ID. Don’t come here

I had been to this place when I lived in Maine and thought my friends who were visiting with me may enjoy it. I didn’t realize until after my friend gave them a military ID that they are anti-military. They wouldn’t let her in, and told us it was State law they couldn’t accept it as a form of ID. Unfortunately they didn’t know they had two prosecutors and a cop standing before them who know that’s indeed not a law, so we just left, and happily were accepted into every other institution that evening that we wanted to go in with my friend always giving her military ID. We started looking up other reviews on google and yelp, and realized this is a common trend at Oasis, and they are indeed very anti-military.

One of the best places to visit in the Old Port hands down the bouncers are super cool don't listen to people complaining about being denied because they're drunk it's actually illegal to have drunk people inside of a bar in the state of Maine other than that, this is a great place to dance and have fun...

Went in just as they opened last night right around 9:15pm, with my girlfriend and 3 of her friends. Within 10 mins a bouncer apparently noticed my girlfriend “stumble” while returning from the bathroom and promptly told her to follow him. He then proceeded to lead her towards the door and then told her she needed to leave, as she was too drunk. Luckily I was there to gather her belongings. The staff wouldn’t let her get her cell phone or wallet or jacket that she had left in the seat before she went to the bathroom. They wouldn’t let her have any more water. Needless to say, a confrontation ensued, but just the sequence of events- let her in, she doesn’t drink anything aside from water in less than 10 mins, gets kicked out without even saying a word to anyone, she was not allowed to gather her own belongings and was denied rehydrating, just kicked to the cold streets.. bouncers protocols and common sense need to be checked. I’d like to this was a one off, but reading other comments make me feel like this is their usual response. Kick young girls out of the bar without their wallet, phone or jacket in freezing temps. All without any legitimate cause too, since they let her in minutes before, and if they had asked the bartender, they would’ve known she was in control hence why she was rehydrating with the water she ordered from that bartender. Also, for any that think that my girl was simply wasted she was walking just fine on the uneven cobblestone road in her shoes when we left so I’m sure they deal with people way more drunk on a regular basis. I will gladly permanently avoid here from now on but would be very worried for any girls coming here without a large group of support

Best people in the world… had the time of my life and lost my keys… these guys came in on their day off and found them… the bartenders there are so friendly and quick too… if you are in Portland you MUST stop here for a good time… it’s a place you lose something and gain something.

NO WAY TO CONTACT OWNERSHIP AT ALL Assaulted by bouncer for Dancing at a " dance club" IT'S SAD WHEN THE ESTABLISHMENTS EMPLOYEES ARE THE THREAT YOU FACE GOING OUT TO DANCE. 4 beers from 830pm to 1130pm when I was questioned if I was OK for doing a drunken stumble dance. I explained that I was only dancing it was an act and the inquiring bouncer grabs my drink and says your out of here. As I'm willingly walking out, the door man shooves me from behind to the point I almost fell and landed on the cobble stone. I dance respectfully I behave respectfully I was assaulted for dancing at a dance club !!! Pretty sad Oasis I will track the owners information down and will file a complaint. KARMA

Don’t go if DJ Lenza is performing. Seriously. The music was not good, people weren’t dancing, and he did not know how to read the room to change the music since people weren’t dancing. He uses the “add me on snap for song requests” gimmick and doesn’t play the songs that you request even if they’re reasonable requests. My friends asked me multiple times if I could take over the music - that’s how bad it was.

Horrible service and treatment by the bouncer. Kicked us out without allowing us to gather our belongings or tell the rest of our party that we were there with and then took the water out of my hand and threw it away without allowing me to finish it. Bouncer sucked and seemed to be on a power trip the whole night

there was a misunderstanding and i got yelled at by one of the bouncers (i’ve never been yelled at like that ever) which was completely unacceptable, and i will probably think about they way i heard his voice until i pass, there was many different ways things could of been said, i think the training is unacceptable and some people should not have the power to be so mean, i understand certain situations, but this was not one of those. i and my friends will no longer be spending our money in such a hostile place, i won’t be upset now if you shut down.

Worst bar/club in Portland.. man probably in the whole state. The bouncers (especially the tall lightskin one) have the biggest ego out of anyone I’ve ever seen. The bartenders are nice I will admit. But that one bouncer needs a reality check. Mistakes people for others and kicks them out with no explanation. Verbally assaults the customers while in the act. He’s just a nasty/disgusting human being and something needs to be done.

Probably the worst place I’ve ever been to in Maine is oasis , if you want to get served at all you might as well go to Taco Bell or McDonalds they have better food an better people.. their prices are thru the roof, an every bartenders can’t make a drink right to save their life… good luck if you go there
