If it's just you and a loved one (no kids under 14 allowed) I high suggest this place! The best Inn I've been in and very friendly staff. David is very welcoming and tries to make sure you enjoy your stay. The breakfast was good too but this place is also super close to do many restaurants. Parking can be tough, be sure to back into your spot, and DO NOT check in past 7 or call late at night/early morning. Be sure to communicate arrival. Also, 3 flights of stairs for some rooms, so definitely be wise about what bags you bring. The bathroom for our room (back cove) was gorgeous. It was very intimate room and welcoming and the jetted tub was a nice touch. We came to celebrate our 5 year anniversary but will be back!!!

Incredible stay. From accommodating requests to store luggage for an extended time to the amazing breakfast, this was a highlight of our short trip. The house is historic but extremely well cared for with tasteful touches throughout. The coffee and tea available on each floor with some dedicated seating/reading areas adds to it's charm and coziness. Beautiful bathroom with bathtub (we stayed in the Back Cove Room on the third floor), cozy bedroom with everything you'd expect plus a few extras (chairs+bench, mini fridge, ironing board+iron), and a great breakfast. We had french toast, blueberry scones (best scone I've had), and egg-free custard with fresh strawberries and cantaloupe alongside hard boiled eggs, toast, bagels, yogurt, and juices/milk/coffee. David the owner changes the menu daily, so if you get to stay multiple nights (we unfortunately did not) you'll get to try more of his amazing cooking. The location is fantastic, easily walkable to downtown Portland and the bay. The only (tiny) negative was the unreliable internet connection (worked okay for minor tasks, but streaming and vpn services for work frequently stopped playing), but there are plenty of places nearby to do work online. Overall, would highly recommend and would CERTAINLY plan to stay here on future visits.

We had a lovely stay at Morrill Mansion! David was friendly and attentive. The breakfast and afternoon treats were delicious. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and quiet. We loved having a tea station and a wide selection of DVDs available. I would highly recommend staying here, and hope to be back!

Absolutely wonderful stay, far surpassing my expectations. The room was beautiful, luxurious, and clean. I wish I could have stayed an extra night just to get as good a night’s sleep as I got at Morrill Mansion! In fact, if I didn’t restrain myself, the entire review would just be about how cozy and soft the bedding is! Breakfast in the morning was filling and tasty, the fresh cherry cobbler in particular. I would return in a heartbeat!

Quite simply, this was the best Bed and Breakfast experience we've ever had. David was an absolutely incredible host. Breakfast each morning was amazing. It was different every day and over our 4 night stay we had: Custards, Quiches, Lobster potatoes, fresh eggs, blueberry crisps and much more. We had a room with a jet spa bath, which was nice after a long day touring Portland, ME. David also provided us lots of history on the area and recommendations. If you want an extraordinary stay in the Portland, ME area, look no further. You will not be disappointed.

Our stay at the Morrill Mansion has been excellent! There is a lot of charm and character in our room and having a parking space has been great. It is perfectly situated so you can walk to some great food options, and Portland in general has been easy to drive/park in. Our host Katrina has been very polite and professional and made sure to include a booklet of where to eat, as well as shampoo/conditioner/body wash- both the food and supplies were very appreciated after our first long day of travel.

The owner David was a great host !!! We were a group of 3 couples traveling together! From the greetings to goodbyes, everything was very warm and friendly. The rooms are very comfortable and smartly equipped. A lot of thoughts to every detail, quality in everything. Breakfast was delicious and freshly prepared by David every morning. All of us enjoyed our staying and extremely pleasant vacation.

We loved our stay. The breakfasts were delicious, bed was comfortable and accommodations were clean and welcoming. The afternoon treats were so tasty too. The location is very convenient and parking is onsite and easy. We didn’t notice any street noise and slept well each night. It was very convenient to have a mini fridge in the room. We can’t wait to stay again.

We only stayed 2 nights, and we felt like we needed a little more time in Portland. Next time, we will definitely be staying at Morrill Mansion again! Our room was roomy and had a mini fridge (something I haven't come across in many B&B's) that was always stocked with water. Breakfast was delicious and the innkeeper provided yummy treats each day in the common area. Location is close enough to walk to Old Port; however, we ended up driving most of the time. Parking was onsite, which was helpful.

Beautiful bnb in a great location. Very walkable to downtown Portland but a quiet escape as well. My room was comfortable and had all items I needed, the breakfasts were excellent, goodies available were a wonderful touch, and David was a great host. Would absolutely stay here again!

This B&B was one of the highlights of our trip to Portland. The room with attached bathroom was spacious, quaint and nicely decorated. The room and bed was comfortable. The daily breakfast and afternoon treats were delicious. David is a fantastic innkeeper!
