Every time I've come here everyone has been so sweet to me. I just show patience, and I get warmth in return. They seem to have a capacity to read a person. It's a medical skill to assess who has the most need, and an impartiability needed to prioritize patients. I've never complained, I smile if I can, even with my mask on, and just show gratitude. We don't always get an opportunity to be humble before grace, and I think asking others for help requires this humility. It has always served me and those I interact with well, at least I hope it has.

Awful. The intake staff are incredibly rude and definitely jaded to the point they don't value human beings in pain or otherwise. If you are a person with any sort of substance abuse issues or emergencies this is the last place you want to be. You will be made to feel subhuman and you can tell they get off on it, the intake "nurses" in particular. The docs aren't so bad. Security officers are the best and most humane empathetic part of the staff. Horrible jaded nasty attudes all around. Ever heard one of those 911 calls where the dispatcher hung up on or got furious with an attitude with the caller who is scared calling reporting an emergency? This is the vibe of the ER here. Awful. Hateful disgusting environment vibes are just terrible. Money money money and they probably think they don't get paid enough which is why they treat most of the more lower class people who enter like dirt. Avoid this place unless it is your only option. Terrible.

Do not go here. Their Urgent Care closed down recently for a reason. Racist, bigoted, hateful, completely horrible and inept security and front desk staff. The security and police they have, their front desk teams, and the admin are the worst, most unhelpful, unkind, bullying ,and cruel, people. *There are a few good Drs working there *. The rest of the staff are so bad, you would be better off with out any medical care at all.

Do not go here!! One of my friends took a bad fall, hit their head on the concrete and passed out. Ambulance was called, and the paramedics were incredibly rude. My friend was not checked for a concussion at the ER, and were not given a room even though the ER was nearly empty. The front desk staff didn’t pass along my contact info to my friend’s nurse (even when she said she would), leading my friend to wake up in a hallway alone, disoriented and scared. They essentially were discharged out of the ER after receiving no treatment and no follow up instructions. My friend was suffering with intense head pain for a week after this visit and just went to another doctor - turns out they had a concussion the entire time! Because they weren’t diagnosed with a concussion at the ER, they missed a crucial window for rest and recovery, instead being allowed to do things that made their concussion worse. This hospital is negligent - go somewhere else!!

Legacy Good Sam dumps indigent handicapped people with mental health issues out onto the bus stop. I ride the 15 - 23rd Avenue bus. I take the first bus of the morning and there are always people that Legacy does not want to deal with. This morning a legless man with mental health issues that had soiled himself. I watched Legacy wheel him out and to the bus stop. Then the bus driver has to call social services, and that entire bus has to stop for social services/police to be called. Happens regularly. I have started filming this and keeping a log to pass on to local media and licensing entities.

I had a joint replacement done here 8/7/23. I had to stay overnight. My day nurse had very little bed side manner, she made me feel like a total bother when asking questions or help with bathroom, ice ect. The CNA that was also working that shift was even worse zero compassion and zero bed side manner just the tone of their voices alone was extremely offputting.Thankfully when their shift ended 7:30pm, I had the lovely night nurse her name was Josie and she was very pleasant, she had no problems answering my questions with kindness, she had excellent bedside manner and just a lovely personality. Ya know the kind you want after having a major surgery. She was calm cool and collected throughout her busy night. I appreciate that thank you Josie.

Easily one of the worst medical centers I have ever worked with: -Unprofessional, slow, and threatening urgent care staff -Every time you walk in, there are now posters saying you can't do this or that in extremely vague or they will have security take you away. From a hospital. Where you are trying to get medical help and might be in extreme pain. -Pharmacy constantly slow and noncommunicative. Regularly have to call daily -Expect to wait weeks or months to get seen. DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU HAVE A TIME SENSITIVE MEDICAL ISSUE. -Now, they have added a charge of upwards of $100's if you try to send your physician a message of any kind, saying it is your fault and you need to pay money if the physician chooses to take more than 5 minutes answering your question. So any time you send a message, you might be billed without warning for a service you didn't consent to. Frankly, this is probably illegal.

Benjamin Sherman has NO bedside manner and is very good at belittling you. He scolded me for not drinking apple juice before my surgery. I have had over 20 surgeries (no joke) and never have I be told to drink anything before surgery. Second, he went on to advise me that should taken all my meds too. Really, if that was the case why didn't the nurse who called for my pre-op inform me of this and my are you scolding me. Talk to your nurses. I have never had such a terrible experience with a doctor.

Sad . I have suffered through being hospitalized at legacy. 6 back surgeries, heart issues and numerous test. Always early bur had to wait hours, days and months in pain because of staff. I am late to an appointment that takes months to make and they say reschedule. It was only heart rehab ,not important . I will look to a different heath system to hire.

I chose one star because half a star was not an option . I won't slam all of Good Samaritan but if you can help it,don't go after Ten. I have a pretty serious infec. I'm slated for procedure 112422. That I won't make because the doctor didn't even write ✍️ the script for the antibiotic or pain medicine 💊. Now a pharmacy not receiving a script is not unusual. I worked in the field for more than 15 years. I was awarded The Gifts of the Heart Award 2012. I say that to say this, when you're ER DOCTOR asks you for your pharmacy in the presence of her scribe(her phrase) and charge nurse and 15 hours later even after you've called them to confirm only to discover that it's even worse!. Well that's unusual. Arrived and left in pain and embarrassment for having alsr soiled myself while waiting hours for water and pain medicine. The epididymitis persists inside me. If weren't for the two professional female Tech's I may have absolutely FLASHED saving them the obvious trouble of providing quality care. Especially on a slow night. I'm taking a relative pain pill now and not sure what to do about the antibiotic since I have no PCP. A factor made clear every attending assistant and the doctor herself.. So why would she not even write the script??!. Having asked and answered the ❓⁉️ of my choice of pharmacy, Lack of current, PCP etc?. Why would any medical professional Provider! Allow a patient to, Well you see what I'm getting at Limping to the cab, hiding my wet pant s that she noticed, the first thing I says is: I'll NEVER COME HERE AGAIN. 8:08 now no call from the The ER. GOOD thing for my family members pain medicine.

Overall the environment is clean and welcoming, but that’s the only good part about it. The male nurse and Doctor Tom were very judgmental of my positive and calm demeanor despite the pain I was in from a broken wrist. They literally told me when prescribing morphine for my broken wrist pain, “This is not to party with”. Giving me strange facial expressions and not kind and comforting at all.

When my mother had to get a kidney transplant, most of the nurses were so kind. However the surgeon and other staff were so incredibly unwelcoming. The financial coordinater, Dawn Cannon, decided to put down that my mom has kidney failure because of diabetes when my mom has NEVER EVER BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH DIABETES. In fact, our family had a genetic trait called UKD which is the cause of her kidney failure. Not really the place of a financial coordinater to tell her why she has her disease in the first place, is it? On top of that,  her surgeon made a joke about how he can't pay for his kids tuition because "not enough people are getting surgery" which was completely out of line and disturbing to hear from someone who is about to operate on someone who needs a kidney to live. I was absolutely disgusted by this. I can only imagine that he isn't the only one concerned about how much money they're making. That's all hospitals are: money grabbing capitalist thriving corporations. And now I hear they are tearing down HISTORICAL buildings that are homes to many small businesses that better the community more so than ANY hospital in the world. The majority of Americans can't even afford healthcare and yet they want to spend more money to expand their hospital instead of using it to fund their patients who actually need medical help to LIVE. Legacy should be ashamed of themselves. A literal capitalist joke. (Shout out to Dr. Mike and Nurse Laura tho for actually being good people who care)

If your not thier type, They really do discriminate against you and try to pass you off and tell you to get a PCP when the matter is actually very urgent. The reason why I'm writing this review is because It was easier getting low grade painkillers than antibiotics, when the test showed up positive for a bacterial infection. this had happened about a few times. Resulting in more pain, hearing loss, job losses and other loses. No, I don't have a month to wait for a PCP provider to open up their schedule. Could this have been fixed if they were able to do that? sure. You know that. I'm sorry, I don't have COVID. That's not the only disease that will kill you. The reason why I wrote this review this had been going on for years and all I needed was antibiotics.

Only good thing about good Sam hospital was I was in and out in less than 20 or 30 minutes but I was diagnosed with tendonitis. You cannot show tendons on next break yet. That's all they did. They took x-rays that I had tendonitis and sent me home with the brace. No other instructions on whether should ice it or how long I should leave the brace on or when I should take it off nothing and that's just ridiculous. It's a joke. Totally changed my idea about Good Samaritan hospital. My sister's been in and out there for a couple of weeks now and she's very happy with the way she's being treated so that makes me happy

I am not some one who usually publishes public reviews but every single employee I encountered, from June 13 to 16, from specialist to janitor, was empathetic, caring, knowledgeable, and determined to help me solve the puzzle of my recent illness. Your support and thoughtfulness was much appreciated and you all deserve top marks.

Had outpatient surgery here. Covid policies with visitors were inconvenient, but it's understandable. Nurses were attentive and kind throughout the whole experience, and put up with my doped up rambling. Thank you to the whole team for making a stressful visit bearable.

I stayed here for 4 nights with my son who had an evaluation. The attention and care from the nurses, CNAs and the rest of the staff are top rated. The food was excellent offering a good variety of choices. Highly recommend facility

Vanny at Good Sam Laboratory department is a gem. I was telling her about my difficult time at the hospital last time I had a needle inserted, and she was so gentle. In fact, she was so good I didn't even feel the needle go in!! Thank you so much, Vanny, for listening to my concern and making my blood draw less traumatic than my last one :)

I had cataract surgery w Devers which was wonderful! I love my surgeon Dr Acohido! However my nurse named Cheri Scott was the most rude and disrespectful lady I have ever met. She would ask me questions about my general health history and when I would answer honestly she would make a disapproving sound or say “great” very sarcastically. It was so degrading!! I couldn’t believe the situation I was in! My ears were burning I was so mad. When the whole process was so embarrassing in a way I have never experienced that in a health care setting.

My birthing experience at Legacy Good Samaritan was better than I could have ever imagined. Our team of doctors, nurses, and other hospital staff was top tier. I felt comforted and cared for my entire stay. During my delivery I felt informed and supported 100% of the time. My two nurses, Amanda and Paige were the most kind and caring medical professionals I have ever experience. And my postpartum care made me more than confident going home and my recovery a lot easier.

The staff at Good Samaritan were very supportive during a difficult time. They were able to quickly triage and provide exceptional service. I'm very grateful to the team here, and for all the crew supporting the Progressive Care Units. Everyone was kind. Heck, even the security guard was helpful, when he stopped to offer directions.

Lack of coordination between departments and within the Emergency Department is frustrating and leads to extremely poor experience in the ER. Also, none of the numbers to call for help when the parking garage won't open correctly are answered. However, previous experience with the ICU was 5 stars. We have also always had quality care in 3NW.

Went to the ER in terrible condition & received some of the best care I’ve ever had at a hospital. The staff were so nice and treated my symptoms efficiently and with care. Highly recommend!

  • 5/5 Kellie H. 1 year ago on Google
Staff were professional and courteous. They accommodated my disability by wearing masks with clear windows so I could read their lips. They took the time to answer questions and helped me feel more at ease. Some of the pre-op instructions from several people were somewhat inconsistent so I think it’d be helpful to make their instructions more uniform. Other than that, it was a good experience for me.

I wish I had my first child here, because it was the most wonderful experience ever. The staff are united, kind, knowledgeable and unmatched! I wish I could do something to thank them, because they really cared for us like we were the only ones there.

URGENT. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. They have a known recruiter who is a scammer called Mary Kay MOREAU. The medical staff are NOT to be trusted. Mary Kay Moreau is a huge red flag, make sure the doctor you work with hasn't been employed by her. We are currently contacting hospitals she has worked with to alert them about Ms Moreau.

Came here yesterday morning in severe discomfort and pain due to eye infection. Was immediately put at ease. The doctor made me chuckle. And I was in and out in 15 minutes. Best E.r visit ever!

If you want to be treated kindly and given correct, thorough information I would NOT recommend coming here. The security guards are rude. The nurses are rude. The only kind person we had was the ER doctor but we still had to over advocate for routine things for her to check. It then turned out my friend needed surgery and was not having an anxiety attack. Even after asking pointed questions to try to get directions. They were all vague and seemingly to busy to assist. We sat in the emergency room hallway for almost 10 hours even though there were only 2 other patients in the ER. There was also an amber alert announced over the hospital intercoms identifying a Black male as having taken an infant. Come to find out this was a drill which was never indicated. So identifying a Black male seems unnecessary and irresponsible. All in all, this hospital made an already awful situation harder and more frustrating
