Luckily, I found North Late Physical Therapy, because I had two knee surgeries in 2021. The rehab process has been slower than I hoped for (hooray for aging 🤣), but the PT team has been there supporting, cheering, and pushing me in all the right ways the whole time. I credit them with my progress to date. I'm sadly looking forward to the day I earn my discharge. North Lake PT is like family to me now.

I had a great experience at North Lake, working with Vince! He's a great listener who genuinely cares and is dedicated to helping clients overcome setbacks and be active again. All of the staff at North Lake were friendly and wonderful to work with. My goal was to overcome shoulder/scapular pain and weakness that resulted from rock climbing. Vince helped me build strength throughout my upper body so that I could continue climbing with fewer setbacks. When my insurance-covered appointments were used up, he helped me adapt the recommended exercises so that I could do them at home or at the gym. I highly recommend Vince and this clinic. I was referred to Vince and his team at North Lake after I completed ACL reconstruction surgery in July 2022. The staff is truly amazing and takes the time to understand your journey regardless if it was a recent or old surgery; or even a minor injury. I've learned an incredible amount about myself from both a physical and mental aspect as I go through ACL rehabilitaiton with North Lake PT. I highly recommend for all those seeking physical therapy and wants the experience of a great, attentive staff.

Beware of dishonest billing practices. I had 5 sessions at the NW location and additional appointments scheduled until I started receiving the billing statements and insurance claim documents. I communicated with them back and forth for over a month in an attempt to gain clarity on the billing codes and discussed the disputed charges with the provider, the billing department, and the branch manager but no resolution has been reached. It became very clear they were billing for services never performed and for longer time durations for services that were performed. I have an FSA account to pay for unexpected medical bills, so paying is not the issue, but I refuse to do business with dishonest people trying to take advantage of a medical system that lacks transparency. As for the actual services performed, I saw no improvement and ended up getting a much better result from yoga classes and a few massage therapist sessions, no ridiculous medical bills required. I would not recommend the service at all, but if you do, be vigilant about watching what is billed to your insurance.

Northlake Physical Therapy is the best in the business. As a lifetime athlete, I’ve had my fair share of injuries and have been able to work with a variety of PTs. It cannot be overstated that the Northlake team is best in class, and the Pearl team on NW 15th is the creme de la creme. They understand each individual’s needs + pursuits, and they always gets me back out there stronger than I was, pre-injury. To be specific, the Northlake squad has helped me with multiple shoulder and knee injuries, tailoring my physical therapy plan to my specific needs. I also appreciate their approach to going after injury recovery holistically, from top to bottom fitness + strength, not just at the injury site. Choose NLPT, and I’m sure you’ll be just as impressed!

I have practically lived at Northlake the last year. I am constantly blown away by the incredible level of care I received every time I walk in the door. From the front desk staff, the PT aids and the doctors. I feel like a valued member of their community and recommend them to everyone that will listen.

What an awesome place. Both in spirit and decor. Couldn't think of a better environment for healing. Vince, Kelly, Jessica and Andrew are amazing. Whether it's their approach to problem-solving whatever ails you, providing you with an education about how to stay well, their warm & genuine personalities, or Frodo the Chihuahua... I felt welcome and enjoyed myself immensely - that is when I wasn't muttering under my breath for the difficult journey my shoulder had to make! I assure you it's well worth checking out. North Lake is a distinctive asset for Portland and I will remember my time there for the rest of my life. My highest praises indeed.

I visited them to resolve sciatica issues that interfered with my ability to run without pain. Jessica and Q were the primary PT and trainer that I worked with and they were crucial in resolving my problem without the need for surgery as well as ensuring that I would not experience the same issues once the treatment regiment completed. The clinic definitely leans towards athletes, with running stride analysis and similar tools available, but everyone can benefit from the work that they do there. Some parking available, but a short walk for the Northwestern Pearl District and Front Avenue area.

I’ve had my fair share of nightmareish experiences with chiros and PTs, so trusting in another clinic didn’t come easy. I am so glad I have this crew a shot! I walked in there with bricks for shoulders and sharp shooting neck pain and with the education and care of Jess, Will and Vince and their amazing PT aids I can actually live my life without feeling like I’m constantly wearing a heavy backpack over bricks. These humans are unparalleled. I can’t thank them enough.

This is actually Christina Wiley writing the review. I have been to a number of PT offices over the years and often find the PTs themselves excellent. The supporting team members are often not on par with the therapists. This office is quite different. Everyone I worked with from reception to the assistants to the therapist is outstanding. It is clear that the owners hire quality people and spend time training them to meet their high standards. I found that there is genuine interest in healing, helping and for patients to enjoy their experience. If I have a need in the future, I will definitely return to Vince and his Team at North Lake PT.

As a marathon runner, I came in to see Vince and discovered a hip imbalance which was causing anterior knee pain. The knee pain was interfering with my running. Now, after only three sessions, I am running completely pain free and making tremendous progress on strengthening my weak spots. I can't thank Vince and the team at North Lake enough. Every pain free run is a total gift, and nothing is more valuable to me than being able to participate in the sport I love. Thank you Vince and North Lake PT!
