Three words: All Day Breakfast. Awesome service from Brittany! She’s new but you wouldn’t know it. Great beer selection, well placed TVs in a classic cozy bar setting. What’s not to love?

Ladies beware: I went here last night for a beer at 9:30 pm. I was by myself. As I sat at the bar, a very drunk male patron began to harass me. While the bartender did cut him off, he and this patron went off to play a round of pool since the night was slow. The bartender invited me to join but I knew this would send the wrong message to the patron, so I politely declined and stayed at the bar. Another male patron walked in, and the drunk patron and bartender came back. The drunk patron sat next to me and began to harass me again. Without saying anything, I moved seats to the end of the bar. The drunk patron then continued to blatantly and loudly harass me for moving seats. I snapped at him and called him out for making me so uncomfortable that I had to move seats, and that he’d been cut off for being so drunk. Instead of kicking this drunk patron out, the bartender told me that he was a friend of his and a “good guy,” and that I should “quiet down” because I was making a scene. I made the point to the entire bar that I am allowed to enjoy a beer without being made uncomfortable or feel unsafe. While the drunk patron did apologize, the bartender did not. I cashed out and didn’t even finish my beer.

A nice bar and restaurant located on Sandy's Blvd. Looks are deceiving from the outside. Entering the bar gives a feel for a good time. Food is delicious and atmosphere is live. Service is great.

Asked for some $1 bills to play video poker got yelled at and asked to leave after rudely being told it's a bar not a bank get outta here the angry bartender shouted...yikes....treated like trash for what reason I still havent figured out and I've replayed the entire interaction over n over I still can't figure out what I did to irritate him so much he had to be so mean. That was our favorite spot to chill

Unassuming divey standby with a bustling atmosphere, long craft taplist, and hearty breakfast classics with a modern American twist. Comfortable seating, a great patio, and personable bartenders. This place is a local institution. Never change, Katie's!

This place sucks. Seriously. All the bar tenders are rude, impatient and just lazy. I always wondered why they are almost always empty 😅 how are they still in business I'll never know. Maybe it's poor management why the bar tenders are so nasty. I miss my old bar starlight patio that bar was a dive but had nice friendly service and made you feel welcome. I never felt welcomed here at all. And I would visit in the morning on someday, afternoons and late night evenings are the same. No one looks happy to be here and that sucks for what is supposed to be a neighborhood bar - I noticed all my neighbors go to the bars just up the street which is further from Kate O'Brians- maybe I should do the same

This place is amazing! I live across the country and I'm here on a family matters trip. I'm so glad this was the place I decided to get breakfast at. I got the chicken fried steak and bacon. Delicious. The bartend was awesome as well. She had a great personality

Again, I never actually entered this establishment, I only stood in front of it waiting 4 the local bus(the #12).but the few times in the past that I did go there it was to play: Video Poker. I always enjoyed myself while there though. I remember that the staff was always friendly&humble as Hell! Also, their food is decent too, if I remember right... It's a clean, local neighborhood bar

It's greasy bar food at its best! If you're hung over, anything on their breakfast menu side will get your batteries charged. Depending on staff you sometimes order at the bar, other times they have a wait staff person watching the tables. No AC, but they can and do open street side windows...and they have a back patio. Tip generously, they all deserve it.

We live right down the street, and we had never been there together! Had breakfast and some shots! Awesome place, nice and cozy and dimly lit. Perfect for hangovers!

I didn't dine here, but I'm giving 4 stars because N/A isn't applicable on this. Multiple TV's to watch whatever with friends, billiards, multiple large booths for parties and a sunken bar with absurdly comfortable rolling chairs. Service is prompt, friendly and helpful.

I have been going there for about a year now, I enjoy the food and the atmosphere. Very nice, you got to try it yourself.

Ive been here a couple times now. Food is great, but dont go in during rush times or the service can be too busy to get to you if you don't wait in line to order. Tried that today and called it quits and left when it became obvious I wasn't going to get an order in anytime soon. Now, reading that you would think I'd give them 1 star. But really, this is more of a me issue. My chemotherapy makes it hard to stand in a line for more than a few minutes. So...thats more a me issue. but it does cost them a star.

It has very good food, the place is little dark for me but it's good if you have a hang over. I definitely recommend stopping by getting a meal

Chill atmosphere, pretty laid back, cheap drinks, cheap food and friendly service. What more could you ask for? Some of the best food I’ve had for the price since I moved here to Portland. I recommend this place to anyone who loves a good, stiff, cheap drink and some bomb bar food. My new go to spot hands down 🙌🏻

One of the best. Great place to watch sports games, great place for a drink, great place for a meal, great place to meet your friends or meet a stranger. The bartenders are great at their jobs, fun, personable, fast, can read a room. The prices are spot on. The place is comfortable and clean. Plenty of TVs, and just the right about of people watching them. Spacious, plenty to do and entertain if you need. Cant say enough good things about Katie O'Brien's. Go. You wont regret it.

Amazing food for a good price. Really comfortable plush leather seating to lean back on at the bar. Outdoor area and a small pool table.

Best sports bar in pdx but don't tell anyone else! Not too crowded, lots of well positioned tvs, great food. Wings, potatoe skins, club, patty melr. Skip the burger, it's small and dry and the bun is big and dry.

Have loved this place for years, but I think maybe they were especially hard hit by the pandemic and break-ins. Anyway, the place has gone from a dive to a dump. Flies everywhere, eggs, bacon and hashbrowns all undercooked translucent, no butter on the toast. I really hope they bounce back, I would go much more often.

Great old school vibe. The bartender was welcoming and had good energy. The shots were a nice size and I hear the food is great. I had just ate, but will be back to try the food.

Awesome food and drink spot. Our bartender/server was friendly and accommodating. Barnyard burger and side salad was amazing, and the bloody Mary's were on point. We'll be back. My other half got the chicken fried steak. The plate was huge! And he finished the whole plate.
