The menu is loaded with many different types of options that will keep you wanting to come back and try something new! And there homemade hibiscus and ginger drinks are a must! The location is very accessible and has plenty of street parking as well as a parking lot directly next to it. Very clean and organized and you can smell the food a Mile away!

First time experiencing some Senegalese and Gambian style food. I'm definitely glad to try something new. The chicken yassa was very tasty. The way the chicken is marinated deficient packed a lot of flavors. The Mafe Yapp reminded me of a beef curry type that I've had in the past. The Fataya (meat pies) and the Nems (egg rolls) were surprisingly good. I think I can definitely eat these all day long. Also, to wash it down, try their ginger drink. If you are looking for something new, check them out.

Saw this place in Portland Monthly and knew I needed to try it. I think the food is from Somalia but I could be mistaken. But what a fun food experience. Don’t be fooled by the pictures on the cart. All the food we had was exceptional. And the #1 was fantastic. Can’t wait to go back.

Got the lamb dibi and a ginger drink! The combination of flavors from the salad, lamb and fries were perfect. So flavorful. Then to wash it down with the ginger drink was just the icing on the cake. So refreshing and delicious.

Kabba's kitchen is the way to go. food so fresh and extremely high standard, delicious and very satisfying. The Meatpie is a must have, so yummy. Today’s special was Thiebou Dieune bou wekh. We enjoyed it, it brought so much nostalgia.

I asked for chef’s choice and was blown away. She suggested #1 (I chose the tilapia vs the chicken). So flavorful. I ate every last morsel. I’ll definitely be back! Can’t believe I’ve waited so long to try.

I’ve tried their Chicken Yassa and fish Yassa. Both were amazing! The meat, rice, salad, and caramelized onions are all excellent and well-balanced. Strongly recommended! 👌

Today was my first visit to the Kabba's Kitchen food cart on North Albina Street. I ordered the Thié Bou Yapp (pictured), which is Senegalese lamb and rice. Everything was fantastic! The lamb was tender and flavorful, mildly spicy, the rice was pleasantly seasoned and wasn't too heavy, and the vegetables were sweet and also mildly spicy. Service was friendly and relatively quick, and there were a few tables for outdoor seating. I will definitely be back to try other menu items! Visit Kabba's Kitchen to support black businesses, and explore the exceptional local Portland food scene, by trying some truly excellent Senegalese cuisine! This is a real African food spot that offers a variety of options for you. The lady who served us was friendly and helpful. I had some rice, fish and salad which was really worth it, was too sweet that I forgot to take the picture

Some of the best food we’ve ever had. So many flavors and so delicious! Don’t forget to try the ginger drink or the hibiscus you won’t regret it. FYI we got the #2.

Absolutely delicious! Went with my parents and we got the #2, 3, 4, and 12, plus the hibiscus drink -- we were impressed with all of it. The meats were all tender and beautifully spiced, and the flavored rice had a delightful taste and texture. I could drink that hibiscus drink all day every day and be happy. Plus, both people working there were so sweet and friendly! Highly recommend!!
