I had the 10 moments tasting menu, and it was a real treat. Each dish was a nice mix of flavors, and there was such variety that the experience took me from vegetables to seafood to curries. And everything was plated beautifully. It was definitely one of the best meals I've had. (Note: I asked for no desserts, and so this is a bit of a modified version of the 10 moments. I'd imagine the standard version has a desert course or two.)

I have to say....out of all the fancy places in many destinations that my wife has suggested we eat at...Almeja is (so far) safely seated at the top. While it is fine dining, it gracefully lacks the pretentious attitude of some other restaurants of similar stature. The food is fresh, craftfully put together and fuses flavors and ingredients that one would never imagine would interact well on a plate. The service was impeccable. Highly recommend visiting if in the Porto area.

This restaurant is for those who love when the food and its preparation is a form of art. This place cares about where it sources it’s food, how it prepares it (the blend of spices is magnificent) and how it presents it. We had the pig head for starters (highly recommend), goat, vegetarian main and catch of the day for mains and curry ice cream for a dessert. Blend of spices was incredible, some of inspiration sourced from Goa. We’ve been to Goa and it was quite evident where that unique mix of coconut and curry powder may have come from. We were told that the master chef had traveled India extensively for flavors. I’ll say the results didn’t disappoint- very complex mix of flavors for all the dishes we had. A true art and care. We greatly appreciated it and can’t recommend this place enough.

We had refreshingly delightful cold melon soup, tasty pasta with meatballs and ricotta and great dessert with biscotti and champagne cream. Visited due to recommendation and exceed my expectations . The Tasting menu did look amazing but I will need to return to try it again. They have a secluded outdoor area which is stunning and peaceful. Cannot recommend enough. A must try if you are in Porto.
