The kosher food was terrible and 1) it was not fresh 2) some potatoes in the chicken menu were mouldy. In addition to that the food is very expensive so for example you would get a chicken and potatoes menu which they charge €33.50. If you’re looking for decent food you should avoid this place. And I Finally I would like to stress that if you have a problem there is nobody to talk to as they will tell you to email the hotel just like I was told.

The breakfast is fine. The room itself as well, as well the theme, which is very much taken in consideration! The hotel is good. The service is not much helpful with explaining where everything was, like directions for the breakfast, as well as timing. Our air conditioning was not working and it was 28°c in the room. We talked to the receptionist and nothing could be done.

This hotel is lovely, it has a very nice concept. Previously it was an old fresh food market and now is a food court. The ambiance is very good and the main theme is music since it is very close to the "Casa da Música" ( concert hall). The stuff was really nice and helpful. Overall a pleasant stay.

Nice rooms, however, due to the market hall, the environment could be a bit noisy in the evening.

Modern hotel , set around mercado bom successo. This food market was great , many food stands . Reasonable prices for food and drink . At the hotel staff helpful and pleasant , ample choice at breakfast . Situated across from bus station and a short walk from metro . Good location for Porto city break

Courteous staff. Clean, modern room but very small with only curtain separating bathroom area from bedroom. However, shower and toilet have their own entry doors. Street noises disturbing overnight.

A decent inexpensive hotel in a great spot. I was here for a week during a course running at the hotel. The hotel is quite basic but room is convenient if a little small. There is no cattle or any way to make coffee/tea in the room. breakfast is not bad and lunch if you have it in the hotel is quite good. The best part of this hotel is the location right on a large food market that seems a lot less touristic than the one in the center of Porto . It’s about 30 minutes walking from the center of Porto or 15 minutes by bus (there is a big bus station on the doorsteps of the hotel) . It’s also 10 minutes walk from the metro station to the airport. there is no gym but for 10 euros you can get a day pass to a great professional gym at the next door shopping mall (fitness hut). For some reason it also seems like this hotel caters for religious Jewish population so is adapted to some of their needs (even though the restaurant itself is not “kosher”). This is by no means a boutique hotel but it’s also not a large soulless chain hotel and the quality/price ratio is more than decent.

A basic hotel, 25-30 min walk from the interesting parts of town. We booked 4 nights. Had several issues with the room, starting with an unresponsive & rattling AC unit, awful shower (the temperature keeps changing from burning hot to freezing cold in a never ending loop), the room connection panal - that is supposed to connect to the room/TV (?) Sound system - didn't work either. So our music hotel experience was completely silent... Of course we notified the reception about the issue on our second day but nothing changed till we left. The room itself has no separation between the bathroom and the bed, so you hear EVERYTHING that goes on in there. I don't know, maybe it's a local thing. We didn't like it. The hotel itself is very clean and quiet (no music anywhere by the way) and the "market" right nextdoor is convenient and expensive - in comparison to the local prices. The breakfast is nice but underwhelming for 9.5€ a pop, considering what you can get for that price downtown or at the center, but it's a fine price for a basically all-you-can-eat buffet. The maintenance staff was good and we found we came back to a clean bed everyday, no matter when we left the room. The bed itself was a solid 7/10. I wouldn't recommend staying for more than one night. We paid a bit more than 100€ a night which is pretty standard but kinda expensive for this kind of experience. We did enjoy Porto though, and are planning our next trip soon. Next time we'll book on Airbnb, it's less than half the price and probably offers more utilities.

Pleasant hotel with friendly staff. Bathroom is separated from bedroom area by a curtain which was a strange and probably wouldnt suit some people...

Excellent hotel with a superb and professional staff !everywhere! From the front desk to the restaurant to housekeeping, everyone is friendly and helpful! They offer great suggestions for things to do in Porto, help with any request and the food in the restaurant was wonderful! This was my first trip since the pandemic and I feel lucky to have stayed there! A truly exceptional stay that made my week in Porto even better! If you’re thinking of booking here, don’t hesitate! So happy I found this hotel and definitely will be back for many more visits! Thank you all at Hotel da Música! Was truly a great stay!

Nothing but good things to say about this hotel, especially the reception staff and in particular, Sarafim (spelling?) who went above and beyond when our tour company messed up the reservations. It is a four star hotel and deserves every one of them.

I'll begin with the best: the shower. This place has the one of the best showers I've experienced in a hotel. The room is fine, but a little crowded, and the walls a little bit thin. But that is secondary since it's really comfortable, and has great amenities. The restaurant downstairs has not only great variety of dishes, but also very tasty.

    Perfect location, modern rooms

Insufficient concern for privacy. Can hear neighbor talking next door. Toilet is part of the room behind the glass partition. Shower water spreads under the glass door and ends up under the bed. Nowhere to hang towels. There is a single hook. Poor design decisions throughout including Mozart's Requiem on the walls while you hear pop music in the hallways.

Great and kind workers. Nice comunication with metro and bus. Very clean and good room service. Not near the center but you can arrive there in 20-30 minutes. 1hour to the beach. Food at the same building. 3 wonderful nights.
