We had a wonderful time in Porto. Although the service in the hotel was very poor! The staff needs to be trained in order to provide good, or at least acceptable service. They didn't even know how to make a simple latte... The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable.

Actually a nice hotel. Unfortunately small details make the difference. The rooms could be more thoroughly cleaned, the phone on the toilet it stuck there with tape (and becoming lose), the coffee machine can make cappuccino, but there are only espresso paper cups available. Breakfast buffet selection is great, the water pressure is strong and the train shower head is great 👍

I've only just started my stay at the hotel but so far it has been a wonderful experience. Especially the complementary glass of Port on arrival! The staff and service have been excellent so far. The variety on offer for breakfast was amazing and delicious. I'm sure the rest of my stay will be an enjoyable experience.

Everyone was very kind, helpful and approachable. The room was clean, comfortable and had great views of the city. We really enjoyed our stay and the lovely chance to explore Porto!

Hotel room is very nice but was dissatisfied with breakfast service. Found hair in my breakfast food two days in a row. The first day on my eggs and the second on my beans (short curly black hair so definitely wasn’t my own). Additionally, I found the staff to be unpleasant. We booked with breakfast but they made a mistake and told us we didn’t have breakfast. When they got it sorted, they were unpleasant and made it seem like we inconvenienced them when it was not in any way our fault… The room was big and very nice. Spa was small but the sauna was nice. Hotel is slightly far from city center but an Uber is very cheap (~€6) to get you to the center. Would recommend staying at the hotel as we enjoyed the spacious room, just don’t get the breakfast.

Nice up to date hotel. Friendly staff, good comfy rooms and a nice surprise “a Tesla destination charger” free of charge for guests. Nice ! Beats the other same class hotels I stayed at in Porto. Only minus, the sauna steam and jacuzzi area are a little small and claustrophobic for my liking but you cannot win them all. Very advisable place for your Porto stays

Nice location. I was there for a business trip, for sure this hotel would not be my choice considering the room rate per night. It is pretty expensive. The hotel has a conservative style. Housekeeping: everyday someone came into my room, changed the towels, brought water, clean the room, made the bed and cleaned the bathroom. Staff: everyone was speaking good english Location: the entire street is in construction so it is pretty noisy and hard to walk on the side of the road The only aspect of improvement is to clean the rug/slippery mat for the tub - in my room (905) it is moldy and dirty. And another one is to clean the windows, they are pretty big and it's a shame to not enjoy the view.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this amazing hotel, and it exceeded all my expectations. The room was spacious and comfortable, complete with a big bed that provided a great night's sleep. What truly sets this hotel apart is its pet-friendly policy. As a dog owner, it can be challenging to find accommodations that welcome furry companions. The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating, making sure both me and my canine companion felt right at home throughout our stay. Also tasty food !

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Crowne Plaza Porto, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment I stepped through the doors, I was greeted by an atmosphere of elegance and sophistication that permeated throughout the entire establishment. As an IHG I was upgraded to a Junior Suite which was fantastic. The staff at Crowne Plaza Porto truly went above and beyond to ensure that my stay was nothing short of perfect. Their professionalism, attentiveness, and genuine warmth made me feel welcomed and valued from the very first interaction. It's evident that they take great pride in providing exceptional service, and it truly made all the difference. One of the highlights of my stay was the serene and peaceful ambiance of the rooms. Despite being located between the city center and the picturesque riverfront of Foz do Douro, the rooms were remarkably quiet and tranquil, offering a peaceful retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. I enjoyed uninterrupted rest and relaxation, waking up feeling refreshed and rejuvenated each morning. And let's talk about the breakfast – it was absolutely fantastic. The selection was varied and plentiful, with an array of delicious options to suit every palate. Whether I was craving a hearty breakfast spread or something lighter to start my day, I was spoiled for choice. It was the perfect way to fuel up for a day of exploring everything that Porto has to offer. But probably it should offer a little more of Portuguese food like Custard tarts or other portuguese cakes. While Crowne Plaza Porto may not be located in the heart of Porto, its positioning between the city center and the river/beaches of Foz do Douro is actually a major plus. With convenient access to buses nearby, I found it incredibly easy to navigate the city and explore its many attractions. Plus, being situated in such a serene and picturesque area allowed me to experience the best of both worlds... Overall, my stay at Crowne Plaza Porto exceeded all expectations. From the elegant accommodations to the amazing staff to the fantastic breakfast, every aspect of my experience was top-notch. I would highly recommend Crowne Plaza Porto to anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable stay in Porto.

Thank you IHG / Crowne Plaza Porto team! Adam helped with a speedy, friendly, professional and welcoming check-in. Was upgraded to suite which was just amazing 🤩. Gorgeous sunset views, king size bed, with welcome port and de Nata pastries, total luxury. Suite had all comforts, minibar, great shower, good pillow selection. Total fan of IHG hotels 😍 with their awesome rewards program, fantastic facilities and services.

Some room disappointments but otherwise a quality experience. Air-con in the rooms (we occupied two during the stay owing to issues with the first) is noisy but the rooms are otherwise clean, spacious and well-appointed. Staff were friendly, breakfast is served in a wonderfully large room with a great selection of offerings plus attentive staff. The common areas are attractive and the bar a real pleasure to visit.

My husband and I stayed here for two nights last summer (August 2022) I wish we could’ve stayed longer because it was one of the best hotels we stayed in during our trip. The staff went above and beyond for us and the service was amazing. Front desk staff gave plenty of recommendations and helped us figure out how to book a train to Lisbon. The room was also super comfortable and clean.

This weekend in Porto in this hotel was magical. everything was perfect, the room was superb, very spacious and comfortable. The bar is magnificent, the employees are very nice. the hotel is a little out of the city center but if you like walking in sunny weather, go there with your eyes closed. I already miss Porto, I can't wait to go back. Best regards, Florent

The hotel was superb. We were welcomed very professionally, and the reception staff were always most helpful. The room on the 12th floor was clean, well maintained, and well looked after by the cleaning team. The food was great breakfast choices were good and the staff attentive. We ate in the restaurant and the food was great. Porto has road improvements outside the hotel which the hotel acknowledges but it was only a short walk to a transport hub or they would arrange a taxi no problem. Great hotel and team.

Hotel staff were friendly. Restaurant menu was nice. Rooms were comfortable and quiet. The shower area could use some improvement without getting water splattered out of the tub. Room lighting can be better - brighter to fit seniors’ eye sights😄

Just home from a lovely week in Porto. Hotel very nice, staff lovely, spotlessly clean, breakfast great with plenty of choice. The only downfall the hotel has is that it is way too far from city centre. About a 10 to 15 minute walk from metro and then 3 stops to town centre. Not much around the hotel it’s very business like but a lovely reserved area.

Loved our stay here. The staff are all very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The rooms are lovely. Appreciated the electric car charging station. They treated our 2.5 year old wonderfully. So thankful this is the hotel we chose to stay at and they supported our extended stay requests.

The overall renovation was very good. Relatively good location and if you needed to get downtown utility to get both a Uber as well as public transport was relatively convenient. Rooms are comfortable. Breakfast was good too. My only feedback is that the coffee could be better. Tasted like airline coffee!

This has been the most delightful experience. Special mention to Berenice and Maria Jose (They have gone an extra mile to help me and my wife). Our room is very clean, well maintained, and the lady that cleans our room is fabulous. The hotel is also well maintained , and all the staff is super friendly. Thank you Crown Plaza Portugal!

Excellent breakfast, dinner and service. Very clean and quiet. Beautiful decoration in the restaurant. Location is not central, but given available taxi services, that’s not a problem. Hotel should improve lighting in the rooms and bathrooms, and might provide a capsule coffee machine.

Booked pet friendly, took our cat! Great breakfast selection, fruit, cereals, pastries and hot food. Pay for breakfast included as it is quite expensive if you pay separately. Booked a superior double, plenty of space.

A perfect place between Porto's city center and the beach. Bus stop in front of the hotel for both directions. The hotel was perfectly clean, quiet, and people kind and helpful. Rooms were spatious and beds comfortable. A star less for the breakfast, a little bit expensive for a 'continental'.

Nice staff at the réception and the door man, super nice room and bathroom. Cleanliness perfect. Only negative point, not enough light in the room. Even with all the lights turned on, still kind of dark in the room.

Amazing place used every time I step in Porto, centre located and easy access, new spa and gym facility

This hotel needs to be change in to more modern type of the hotel, it has very comfortable beds, but the rest of the equipment is very oldstyle and damaged, carpets were dirty, bathtube was scratched, instant coffee , really??? ( all modern hotel 5* hotels has its own coffee machine 🙆), wellness centre was closed. But I have to say the staff was very professional and friendly.

Crown hotel was amazing, we received a welcomes drink, and the check in was very easy. The rooms were cleaned by an amazing and friendly crew, you could ask them anything and they would help out. The room service was good too we ordered 2 times and it was only €17 The access to the building was amazing as we needed people to come over for our wedding preparation. It’s just sad that there is no swimming pool and the jacuzzi was broken. Gym is a little bit small but that’s a minor too.

Beautiful hotel, very clean, the restaurant was good. Not much to add, they cleaned the place every day, we had enough space in the room. There is a table, you can use for work. There were two armchairs for rest. Nice and clean bathroom. Breakfast was great, we had enough food and there was a big variety. The staff was friendly.

I stay here fairly frequently on client visits, and the experience is consistently good. Front office staff are very friendly and the check-in process is super fast, much appreciated when arriving late at night. Good elite recognition and upgrades, many breakfast options (including lots of fresh fruit!). The rooms are a bit dated but clean, well maintained and very spacious.

I loved my stay at the Crowne Plaza in Porto! I've stayed in many hotels around the world but my experience here is something that I'll never forget. The hotel amenities are great, but what truly stands out for me is the amazing staff they have. Everyone is very kind and attentive, and ensured that our stay was perfect! Thank you to all the staff at the Crowne Plaza for making our trip so special! Especially Fatima at the breakfast restaurant, who was always very kind and helped us start our day with a big smile 🥰

Good corporate hotel with everything you can expect from a Crowne Plaza. A minor point is the location if you're here as a tourist. The nearest metro station is 500 meters and requires a change to head to Porto's center. Factor in a good 30 minutes from the hotel to the Douro.

Excellent hotel with great staff. Unfortunately never sampled the food or beverages in the hotel or used the spa area. Room was very clean and well made up. Great stay for a couple of nights.

Really enjoyed the stay here. Valet parks car, that is wonderful. Elevators to upper floors inaccessible without room key, like that. Breakfast was delicious with lots of options for everyone. Front desk very accommodating. Rooms clean an comfortable.

This hotel is plush with amenities including very lovely smelling toiletries and also comfy beds. I had to deduct a star for the restaurant and its desk service alone. The staff of the restaurant was rude on several occasions during our stay, and I must say that the breakfast buffet was generally just ok. Also, only soy milk for non dairy. They hadn’t even heard of oat or almond milk when asked. Again, not my experience at any coffee shop or other hotel in Portugal (I know some countries don’t have them yet but that’s not the case here. They willfully just don’t have the options). However, the hotel itself and its front desk staff were wonderful; giving plenty of expertise for the city, and assistance on the many amenities of the property. Hopefully your stay brings much contact with their crew.

Crib provided was one of the best we have seen on our travels. Housekeeping was excellent. Staff helpfulness throughout superb. Accommodations of allergies throughout with no issue. Would come again, conveniently located with a supermarket across the road with bus stop to town centre, or a short walk to the metro.

Extra nice rooms. Good food. No problems speaking English. But we didn't like Porto. Big cities with crazy traffic is not on our vacation list. If we go back to Porto for a business trip I would stay at the Crown Plaza again.

Excellent hotel. Cleanliness is top notch. No grunge along the floor tiles. Spa and sauna is clean and orderly. Bus across the street. Take the 201 straight into the city center.

This hotel was our saving grace! Quick story: We were in Portugal (first time overseas last summer) for my cousin's wedding, and after tasking days of travelling from country to country, we were at wits end. We first opted to get an Airbnb. Huge mistake! It was gross, no air conditioning, the neighborhood was sketchy and we had many problems. I laid on the bed that night, and stared at the ceiling, draped with only a large towel for slumber because I couldn't trust the bedding. I had lost hope of the vacation getting better, I prayed and asked God for grace because I didn't see a way out. BUT THEN A GLIMMER OF HOPE, the Crowne Plaza! We cancelled the Airbnb, and they sent back the money to which we were able to be accommodated at the Crowne Plaza. I was on the verge of tears, I've never been so happy, and relieved in my life. The hotel was beautiful, the room was clean, room service was excellent, and the front desk staff was incredible. I felt like I was floating on air. I smiled everyday from ear to ear the entire rest of the trip. Thank God for the Crowne Plaza Porto Portugal!
