Amazing place with a great view. Unfortunately is very badly kept, dirty and the bar/restaurant service is as bad as it gets. You have to beg to get a employee attention and if you're lucky enough to get it you'll be facing a rude and unhelpful person. Two stars only for the scenery. Not recommended at all. It's a shame a place with such a potential has fallen clearly in bad hands...

An amazing find off a drive down the river they had a 3 course menu with a drink for €15 !!! We opted for the menu menu which is still really reasonably priced all fantastic flavours and presentation. I would recommend the veal it was well charred but still tender with smoked pancetta rice. Apple pie and ice cream was again amazing. Highly recommend.

Overall bad experience. The view to the river is great but not exceptional. You get better by simply walking along the river. The service was very bad.. after over 1 hour waiting we received the wrong salads. Right..1 hour for a salad. Then 30 more minutes for the right salads. I saw people on another table getting wrong food..maybe was a bad day. I would only recommend for a quick coffee and a beer. Staff was quite unfriendly and didnt even appologise we had to wait 1h30m for salads... sad experience. Still the view is quite nice if you want to have a coffee and catch some sun.

I did not try the kitchen but it was a windy day and there were not many people yet the service was slow. The view is very nice.

Place is a bit hidden but not too hard to find. We had the pasta with shrimp and this was really delicious. The waiter was friendly. The atmosphere was not very cosy but probably because we were there when it was not busy.

Popped in for a quick bite after a boat trip. Waited ages and no-one served us. Caught the attention of a waitress and asked for a menu. When she finally brought it we asked to order a beer as she tried to walk away. We were made to feel we had done something wrong. Another waitress finally came and we ordered a burger as we were hungry. Well when the drinks came they were dumped on our table with a bang. 45 minutes later we got the burger and to this day I did not think you could ruin a burger. Apparently you can! Going to the till now to pay as yet again noone around to ask for the bill. I wouldn't mind of they were busy buts it's quite empty. Brilliant view of the river but that is all that's going for it. Avoid if you can!

We enjoyed iur Christmas dinner there with a big group of friends. In general, I give 3 stars because it could be a way better. The food was the worst part, it was too much salty! Unbelievable salty! Also there was no any option for the desert. Hopefully, starter was nice and delicious! The cruise traveled over the Douro in a valm and nice speed, while we enjoyed the ambiance. Dancing part and live music with DJ went absolutely fine and we washed away the hardness of the previous year with it. Also, it is important to mention they have been really punctual and on time on departure and arrival.

Nachos and guacamole are very unappetizing. Otherwise a nice stop if you are coming out from Porto.

Good food, good views, tentative service but veeeery slow, we waited for 45 minutes. Very cheap though.

Maybe long ago this was a great place, however some weeks ago we were surprised to discover it was almost empty and after having heard good things about it we were a bit intrigued. Then we decided to order something to eat which unbelievably took them 55 min to prepare, being empty we would expect it would be faster, sadly it was a disappointing visit.

Dreadful service. It took ages to get attention of waiting staff, the waiter we had did not know what Vinho Verde is, despite it being Portuguese, and served poor white wine. He smelt disgusting. Not a place to make a destination visit.

Staff was very friendly and attentive. But, avoid the nachos (guacamole wasn't much) though to be expected with the price. Mojito was sub par but the caipirinha was good. The location was great.

Nice water view with a lot of outdoor seating - dog-friendly, good food and wine - and a lot calmer than the Ribiera!

Slow service, the food ordered was of rather poor quality not only in relation to the price but in general taste-wise. We can only advise the Management to review the menus and quality of preparation. The dish on the photo was supposed to be a Portuguese specialty. According to the description found on Wikipedia it sounds delicious: “Açorda is a typical Portuguese dish composed of thinly sliced bread with garlic, finely chopped coriander, olive oil, vinegar, water, white pepper, salt and poached eggs.” Unfortunately the served version of Acorda had only the name in common - we couldn’t eat it.
