As a Vietnamese living in Portugal for almost a decade, I'm super happy to finally find this lovely restaurant in the heart of Porto, which offers 100% authentic taste from my own country of Vietnam. Beyond the great food, I was also impressed by the cosy and beautiful decor and most of all, the friendly and professional team. I definitely will come back with my Vietnamese friends whenever we feel like missing our homeland's food and with my international friends whenever I want to introduce them about the authentic Vietamese taste.

Delicious!! We got the shrimp & pork summer rolls, the beef pho, and the pork noodle salad. The summer rolls were very fresh and delicious. The noodle salad was served cold with warm, fresh cooked pork, and a vinegar-type dressing poured over the top. It was soooo good! The pork was super tender and very tasty! The pho broth by itself was absolutely delicious, but add in the beef, noodles, and accoutrements, and I can’t wait to return on a chilly day to have some more! Service was excellent and the staff were super friendly. We will definitely return!

It was such a pleasant surprise to find this fantastic family owned Vietnamese restaurant in Porto. We were very impressed by the authenticity of the Vietnamese food made by the Vietnamese chef from Saigon. The owners and staff were friendly and kind. All the food we tried felt homemade and were delicious. The coconut coffee and egg-presso are must-tries. We love everything about this place!!!

I have been in Porto Express multiple times and both experiences were extremely positive. It’s easy to observe that the owners drive the restaurant with a lot of passion and dedication. This place is perfect everything: good food, nice staff and cosy interior. First thing that stands out is those seats right behind the window, making simple design more interesting. The atmosphere eludes relaxed and informal setting, and the menu reflects it. A small number of main dish options make the whole menu easy to read and that's also how you know the food is going to come out delicious. The vegetarian option is huge, but way too good to leave it unfinished. One more thing that stood out to me was how polite and friendly the staff was, but at the same time not intrusive at all.

Very nice, genuine owner. He and his Vietnamese wife own the place and gave us some recommendation for some sweet spots in the city. We loved the food and portions were bigger than expected. Would definitely recommend!

We had an amazing time at this restaurant! One of the highlights of our time in Porto! I would give it 10 out of 5 stars if I could. The owners were very gracious and welcoming hosts. They took time to make conversation with every table and provided excellent service. And of course, the food was fresh and flavorful and absolutely delicious. The food menu is limited (I think there were <10 main course choices), but it meant a lot of care was put into each plate. And the brownies will make you never want to eat another one ever again. They won't get better than this, trust me. But the staff and their dogs are really what make this place special. The little Yorkshire terriers might welcome you with a friendly bark and you will be greeted with big smiles, great conversation and a warm heart. By the end of our meal, my girlfriend and I felt like we had just visited old friends rather than popping in for a quick bite to eat. This was without a doubt our best cafe experience in Porto and we can not wait to board the Porto Express many more times while we are here!

Fabulous delicious fresh authentic Vietnamese food with personal caring service. Beautiful clean open light filled space in great location. Good for small groups as well as couples and solos like me. I cannot wait to return. Pho outstanding as well as the home brewed ginger lemon chá which helped my cold immensely. Bonus! German baked desserts! Oh and the fabulous Vietnamese coffee. Based on their first month so far I predict they will be smashingly successful.
