Worst nightmare. Booked three months in advance directly with the hotel. They had a complicated booking system that requires numerous exchanges and bank transfer payment. Didn’t have the room I booked but agreed to take a different room. Wrote to confirm reservation the week before and was assured everything was good. Then, day before checkin, messaged that they were overbooked and couldn’t accommodate us. Offered to book us at a different hotel of equal value. Ended up at a horrendous room over a busy road and got little sleep. It was supposed to be a special birthday treat for my partner and ended up being a mess.

The most important thing about a hotel is its cleanliness and BCharming was really clean. You have to pay extra and ask for your room to be cleaned and the towels to be changed one day in advance. It’s about 2 km from the old city centre. UBER service is so active and present in Porto and it’s really cheap. 3€ for a 3-4 km trip. Breakfast is facultative. The room is small but efficient. There’s a hair drier for long haired girls. We had a room with a balcony so we’re able to drink our coffee calmly in the morning. You can use the kitchen whenever you want. To boil water for your tea for example or to heat your meal.

Clean rooms and not far away from the city centre (15-20 minutes walk). The host was very friendly. WLAN was good. The check in was handled well regarding the Covid situation. What would be nice is a bit more furniture to use for our stuff as we put our stuff from the bags on the floor and also a trash bin in the rooms would be good. It was a bit loud due to the street and some noisy guests in the room beside us.

Really nice accommodation with super nice hosts, modern equipment and good breakfast. I received a lot of great recommondations for the whole city, restaurants, activities, cafés etc. It is close to public transportation but also walking to the city center was fine for me.

The room was small, but the staff was friendly and helpful. Recommended.

Nice hosts. Good rooms. Kitchen is cool. WiFi and possibility to rent a bike. Also opportunity to have a breakfast served for reasonable amount of money. Little bit noisy tho because of the traffic. But it's the price for relative central location.

Beautiful apartment, located near the city centre. The nearest underground station is Carolina Michaelis and there are 2 bus stops in the same street.There are also a supermarket and a pharmacy. Inside the building there are 11 rooms with bathroom and a big dining room on the ground floor. There is also Wi-Fi. I really enjoyed my stay. Totally recommended

Clean and cozy, has everything you need onntiny space, special, very portugese, very well organized, a totally sweet and very engaged local host named Jorge. Love you Jorge! You are a wonderful host.

Amazing hospitality and lovely room! When you arrive the hosts give you tips on where to go, things to do and how to get to the main city (really easy by the way).

Loved staying here, a bit far to walk to the waterfront, but my gf and I didn't mind.
