Antonio is the best coach! Just notes for the company: Please tell us before that we need slippers in our feet to goto the beach 🏖 as there was rocks & some glass in the way to the beach, we were barefoot. Also, it's good to mention that there is no place to change clothes. Or better provide a place.

The whole team at Porto Surf School is amazing! From the customer service to the instructors! I took 4 beginner classes and in the instructors Mafra, Batata, and Alec were amazing. They were great teachers and also so fun to be around. Even when I needed to make changes to my class dates they responded via email so quickly. Highly recommend!

We had the best time ever with them and will definitely surf with them again in the future. They were SUPER organised and very punctual, whilst remaining flexible and attentive to our needs. We booked a 4-day course and they took us to two different beaches. The coaching was really on point and the advice given helpful. The groups were also small, which was good because that meant that the coaches had more times for us. I don’t usually leave reviews, but given how satisfied we are, I thought I’d make an exception. Thanks again to João and Bruno - they really made our Porto trip unforgettable.

This school is what you are looking for: they pick you up at the city center, the staff is really supportive and friendly (you feel like you know them from before), the spot they bring you to catch the waves can’t be better and the equipment is in perfect conditions. Took a surf lesson with Porto Surf School yesterday and it was outstanding. Even in October, the experience was top-notch. The instructors were professional and patient, making sure we felt confident on the waves, even for beginners like us. The equipment was ensuring safety at all times. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Porto, regardless of the season.

We have never surfed before and booked the surf course for 5 days. The surf coaches have looked very closely and explained very well what could be improved. If the get up worked, was loudly rejoiced with us, if it did not work so well, we were motivated to try again with support. The initial fear of the sea and the waves got better and better with the help of the trainers and was gone after the 5 days. My girlfriend and I had booked five days and had never been surfing before. We had a really good time, had a lot of fun and learned a lot. I surfed again with these guys after surfing with them already like 4 years ago and what can I say, - I enjoyed it so much. First of all the meet-up in the city of Porto was very easy-going and the meeting-point was easy to find and accessible. Furthermore we left right on schedule and everything was well organized. During my three-day-experience I had 3 instructors in total (on two days it was Bruno and Mafra and on the other Alec - I'm sure the spelling of at least two names is wrong here, so sorry). Every one of them was very nice and competent. Whereas Bruno and Mafra seemed to be more experienced Alec kind of pushed one more out of one's comfort zone (in a good way ;)). Especially Mafra and Bruno were good in creating an atmosphere of acceptance and general laid-back spirit during the lessons that took of a lot of pressure off of feeling the need to perform well. Surfing is hard and in the beginning you tend to get frustrated a lot. Both of them adressed this issue openly and stressed that everyone is learning on their own pace and shouldn't stress too much. I feel like this helped a lot of people to get into surfing more freely. Also this lead to a really good atmosphere among the surfers with a lot of cheering each other up and celebrating each other's accomplishments. Furthermore I got some really nice pointers on how to improve my surfing :) During all of this the guys understood how to throw in some of the good Portuguese humour that loosend up any upcoming annoyance after being hit in the face by an enormous wave for like the 389393. time ;) had a good laugh again and again! The drop-off always worked out fine too and all of them were driving very responsively! :) Thanks again for contributing to my more than nice Porto holiday! I enjoyed surfing with you guys so much and will totally book again when I'm re-visiting Porto (which I surely will because it's just such a nice place). BIG RECOMMENDATION! Lot of love Yasemin

Me and my son attended a one day course. Great service and instructions by surf teacher Bruno who efficiently taught surf basics and safety. Bruno gave all students attention and came with tips on how to improve. We had a great day and will be coming back!

Amazing experience. I took 1-day SUP and 2-day surfing courses with them. Great coaches, they’re very committed, caring, motivational and funny. Surfing was hard but the coaches helped us a lot to know the basics and to be able to catch the waves and balance ourselves on the board. At the end of the day, we all had so much fun. Highly recommended. I can’t wait to be back to Porto and surf with them again. SUP was also really fun. We went to a super calm and beautiful river. You could hear the bird chirping and take a break to dive in the river, sunbathe a bit and try local berries.

I originally booked two lessons with this company (both of which had to be cancelled because I fell ill while traveling through Portugal). Therefore, this review solely speaks to their customer service. Their team was exceptional. They were quick to respond and help me find a solution. I hope one day I can come back and take lessons with the Porto Surf School 🤙🏽

I’m in the van l, leaving the Portuguese beach after a great surfing session! It’s my last hours in Portugal and I’m spending them with some friends catching waves. Couldn’t be better! The best surfing experience in Porto! I’ve been to several lessons and they were fantastic. I definitely recommend Porto Surf School!

We had one lesson of surfing. The crew was kind and choose a good spot for surfing (a beach without rocks in the water). The transport to the beach was about 40 minutes. Everything was fine, it was fun! The communication ( email in this case) was easy.

We booked a three hour course for 55€ per person (20% before via paypal, the rest via cash after the lesson). We were total beginners who had never touched a surfboard before, and we had a lot of fun and and also learned a lot. Booking was easy and communication was good, we got an email detailing meet up place and time a day before. The team took the whole group (~20 people) with cars to a beach about half an hour outside of Porto, which meant that we had the whole beach to ourselves and the conditions were great. We were also provided wetsuits and boards. Five people, including us, had never surfed before and got a very thorough instructions regarding safety and technique, while everyone else (who had booked several days of surfing and had surfed before) where already in the water. This meant that no one had to waste any time waiting for anyone else. While in the water, the team looked out for everyone and provided individual help, especially to the beginners. They were all very attentive, friendly, professional and gave great tips. Overall it was a lot of fun and definitely worth the money. Fully recommend.

We had the best 3 days surfing with Porto Surf school! The instructors were attentive and really helped our surfing improve, along with being super funny too! The lessons were super organised and the transport to the beach was always on time. We made some fantastic memories surfing and we will definitely continue. Thank you again!

We had such a fantastic day paddle boarding hosted by Viktojia and Joào. It was so great to be out of the city for the day. After a few hours paddle boarding we were presented with the most amazing lunch and plenty of wine. A day well spent. Thank you.

Could not wish for a better experience to start my journey with surf! I’ve joined to their classes as a complete beginner and spent 3 days with Porto surf school. All the instructors I met were super nice and professional, they were all helpful explaining everything patiently, paying attention to us and giving tips and advice how to improve all the way. The communication with school was easy and they always provided the neccesarry information in advance about the logisctics. We had a great time at Porto Surf School. We booked online, they picked us up from the center of Porto and took us to an amazing beach. There they told us all the safety rules and all the surfing techniques. We spent a lot of time in the water with a lot of success! An experience I'll never forget!

I definitively recommend this surf school! We (2 more girls and I) took our first surf lesson last September and chose Porto Surf school because of a recommendation of a friend that comes nearly every year for a week. They offer pick up in the city and are therefore flexible about which beach is best that day and communication was easy and quick. I had a great time, the instructors were great and very patient. I actually managed to stand some waves at the end and will definitely have to come back to get better! After the course we stopped by a little café to get some tea and sweets to warm up and were safely dropped off in the city again after an amazing and exhausting day.

We loved it. Super nice instructor with very good English skills. Our booked group lesson felt like a private lesson because the guys always had an eye on us. We definitely recommend it.

I came in end March for one week holiday in Porto and found Porto Surf School via Google. It was great! The weather is sunny and warm. The sea gave quite nice waves. I had the 5 day lesson with Riccardo. He corrected my positions and techniques. We laughed too! Very nice and reliable people.

We did a 3 day course, I would say it's the minimum. We stayed in a separate location in Porto, but there is also the possibility to stay at their beach lodge, which also looked very cool. We really loved it! the instructors are very friendly and easy going. They will help and push you if you need help, but will also leave you free to decide to take a break or if it's too much for you :) I can't wait to got again! ;) Obrigada à TDs!

My first experience in surf is very good but the organisation was way too bad, we waited to get driven back for over 3 hours , it’s not professionalism at all, the lady at The door didn’t take a solution for Anything, she said she could not take any decision because the boss was not there. They messed one day of our trip.. I do not recommend this at all. Big lack of organisation and professionalism.

Incredible experience, my boyfriend and I took 2 classes and we couldn’t be more satisfied. The instructors (Bruno, Mafra and Alec) are fun, really committed and thoughtful. Bruno helped me a lot to get a bit off my mind when I was struggling on the beginning, great surf and life advices. Can’t wait to come back to Porto and take more classes 🌊🏄‍♀️

It is a really great team. They always are smiling and laughing and it is fun to surf with them. Because of Alec, my sister and I were allowed to go a little bit away from the group to catch higher waves. It was so nice of him :) All coaches pushed one to get a wave because withe them you are faster.
