The restaurant is a, once again :), very small and very fine location. It has 5 tables and puts the emphasis on quality and customer service. The quality of the food was outstanding. The portions were large and are definitely sufficient. Here everything is still cooked and there are no frozen goods on the table. You get also a good variety of nice wines. The price is a little more expensive than other locations, but that doesn't matter much. The service is top. Nothing more to say. The owner is very friendly and takes a lot of time to talk to you. Especially later in the evening you learn a lot about the people behind the restaurant, which is very exciting. Please be sure to make a reservation if you want to eat dinner earlier. With a little luck you can still get a table without a reservation after 10 pm. It is worth it in any case. Gladly again.

I cannot say anything negative about this passion born cute little bistro-like diner. It feels very cozy, but the food itself is very enticing. They have salmon options but I tried the oven-heated mozzarella mushroom with pesto. Marvelous experience. Even though I assume finding this place randomly would be an amazing discovery, but don’t let it to luck. Go there consciously and enjoy!

We were incredibly lucky to stop by and have the chance of a table to get dinner, after being rejected in many places without a reservation. It's small and cozy. Food is delicious but Armando is even better, his attention to detail, the way he cares for his costumers, the great ambience and wonderful time spent singing with fellow costumers will make for a perfect evening. Also, best chocolate cake I ever had in my life... ABSOLUTELY LOVE THIS PLACE.

Very lovely place with tasty food and friendly boss. We had a beautiful evening in this restaurant. Highly recommend the mixed cheese & ham plater, tuna paté, lemon cake and green wine. If you want a unforgettable bite, pleasw go there.

perfect for an intimate dining experience — the space is very cosy, and the service is super friendly (ask to hear about the old men on the bottle of port) the food was amazing — the onion jam that they make is stellar! it’s the kind of place that fosters fond memories of drinking port while picking at tapas plates and laughing about how many stairs you tackled today…

Exceptional dining experience. Host was extremely personable and warming. Food was delicious and reasonably priced. Very small restaurant made it feel even more special. Highly recommend, very difficult to fault.

Amazing Portuguese tapas! Such a cute restaurant owned by a super nice gentleman who clearly loves owning a restaurant. Said he did 25 years in banking and now he’s doing what he loves. It really shows in the attention to detail and masterful flavors on the menu. We were welcomed in right away at 730, which is early in Porto for dinner so the place was empty. It filled throughout the night and some people were turned away. The owner also speaks every imaginable language! I saw him speaking not only English and Portuguese but also Italian and French. I couldn’t believe, but we stayed there all the way to 10:20. We slowly enjoyed the food as advised. We each had a glass of the green wine which is really nice and refreshing and light. Extremely generous pour as well. We had the mushroom and mozzarella cheese dish. The mozzarella was so gooey. It is a delicious combo. We also had bread and olive oil. The bread is so soft and the olive oil with the balsamic is really good. I never tasted balsamic so sweet. The tapas also came with crunchy bread crisps that were nice and buttery. We had Alheira, traditional Portuguese sausage that has chicken, bread, rabbit and duck in it! It was delicious the flavors just melt in your mouth. And naturally the sausage kind of falls a part all over the bread. Very good. We finished the night with two pieces of cake and port wine. The port wine was tawny and from Calem and very good. Both chocolate cakes were filling and rich. Went really well with the port. One of the cakes, the taller slice with tan frosting is a chocolate caramel crunch cake and the other is all different layers of chocolate. Both were wonderful, I think I prefer the totally chocolate one if I had to choose. The place is a rustic chic and very homey at the same time. There were some things on the menu, like the steak and the lemon cake, that they did not have that day. Overall one of the best dining experience I ever had! And not just in Porto but in my life. I felt welcomed like I was going over a friend’s house. The food is of great quality and I could taste the love put into it! Also prices were so reasonable, only 35 for two people. We left stuffed. I would love to come again!

Fabulous evening! The manager was friendly and welcoming! Small restaurant. Fantastic food and wine! Definitely stop in here. We shared a cheese platter and the Mushrooms and Cheese with Pesto, and it was delicious. Very reasonably priced. We had a bottle of good wine, two Port Wines, two tapas to share and dessert, sparkling water, all for under €50.

The owner, Armando, has created a lovely tapas restaurant where he and his guests enjoy everything his restaurant has to offer. With only 6 tables and food that tasted and feels inviting, I recommend you come early to get one of the tables for yourself. Armando and Marta - our server- we’re warm, personable and made us feel like valued guests. Thank you for leaving corporate life to create this very special place in Porto!

Lovely place with a wonderful atmosphere! Very slow and relaxed vibe going on, an excellent place to end your vacation in Porto at! The food is made with great attention to detail and just blends wonderfully on the tongue. The port wines are top quality and good even for people who don't like the taste of alcohol. Max seating is 16 people, so be sure to book in advance!

Absolutely one of the most fantastic experiences from our week in Portugal. We stopped in on our walk back to the hotel after a night of food and drinks. The recommended pairing of chocolate cakes and port wine was absurdly delicious, and the service was outstanding. Armando is amazing. Thank you so much for such a memorable experience.

We had such a great experience in this restaurant. Everything was delicious, we didn’t let a bite ! The restaurant is warm, cosy and clean, loved the decoration. Special mention to Armando, a very kind and interesting person, it was a great pleasure to meet you, we were so happy. We will definitely come back here the next time we are coming to Porto. The best restaurant in the city 🫶🏼 Merci pour tout !

We had such a nice experience at this cozy restaurant! All the tapas were delicious and the staff were both very kind, welcoming, and helpful at describing the menu items. If you're visiting in Porto, definitely check this place out! And definitely get the chocolate cake, it was divine. 👌

We loved it here! Such great service, amazing tapas like dishes, so yummy. Will definitely come back another time. (It's quite small and I heard they do do reservations so that could be a tip, but we were seated immediately anyways)

We were two guests as you can see, and I have rarely, if not ever, met such a nice host. Food and good vibes are all on parity here, and can only recommend Hernando (hope I don't scorch your name!) Actually you know what, no please don't come. This place is a small friends and family place and I am sure I speak for the owner saying we don't want mass tourism here! If you pass this filter, come say hi and share a drink with us 😊

We stopped by for dinner on our last night in Porto and had a fantastic time. The owner and staff were amazing and made us feel very welcomed. The food is simple, but phenomenal (we recommend the mushrooms with mozzarella and pesto). Such a cozy local place, feels like family, great value. We ended up spending over 3 hours here.

A true gem of Porto. Ain't easy to get in but once you manage you will be hosted like a true old friend by the owner who makes sure you will spend unforgettable time over fresh food and splendid wine and porto. The bloody sausage truly surprised me as it was arguably tastier than a similar local one we have in Poland. Hugs for the owner and thank you for having us and making it feel like a visit at good friends house.

A super cosy hidden gem. The owner and server make this an unforgettable evening. He’s super friendly and entertaining and makes you feel so welcome giving you a very personal experience. The restaurant is very small so I’d be sure to book! The food was excellent and so were the drinks, quite traditional and share sized plates so it’s nice to try quite a few things off the menu. The owner will help you choose the best dishes. Highly recommend this restaurant for a casual evening but an extremely pleasant one! The food was excellent and very reasonably priced so you won’t break the bank. Thank you for having us!

Honestly if you flew to Porto just to go to this restaurant it would be worth it. The food is fantastic, the suggested wine pairings are phenomenal and to top it all off the owner makes you feel like you are having dinner with family. Very reasonable prices as well. I'd give more than 5 stars if I could.

Just had a best experience in Portugal. The waitress and her godfather were charming and likable. Very nice people who enjoy what they do. The food and wine were perfect. My number one choice in Porto! Thanks from Ukrainian guy ❤️

Our best night in Porto by far. If you’re lucky enough to get a table, you’ll feel like family until the night is over. Amazingly low prices for a perfect portugese tapas night! A must!!!!! Make a reservation via email to get a table.

Excellent food and the best service you can ever get. The owner was very friendly and so funny. We were so happy with it that we went there again just in two days. I would recommend trying the mixed board or baked mushrooms with pesto and mozzarella. Can't recommend this place enough. ❤️

Without a doubt the best Google search for a restaurant for dinner I have made in a long time. Our second night in Porto led us to this gem of a place with the most welcoming and passionate host Armando that couldn't have made you feel any more welcome. We over ordered as we wanted to try it all, and none of it disappointed. We weren't rushed in anyway and didn't want to be with the best playlist on in the background. If you are in Porto🍷, you MUST come here and be as happy as I was with my sangria and the entire experience. I would give this 6 ⭐if I could!

Can't rave about this spot enough. The owner is so joyful and makes you feel like family! All the food was perfect (ESPECIALLY the dessert). There are soo many food spots in Porto but this one was the best by far in terms of service, food, and atmosphere. We will be coming back one day!

Went there with high expectations because the reviews were good. Try to make a reservation on WhatsApp but never got a response ended up showing up at 10 minutes after seven and he graciously gave us a table. There were only five tables in the restaurant for 3- tops and 2-2 tops. But definitely recommend making reservations or get there as he opens at 7 PM. The owner is the one who greets people and waits on them at the table. He’s very engaging and very personable with his guests. Sometimes that interferes with the speed of service. We ordered three toppers to share one salad a dessert and it took two hours and 10 minutes for the meal. We weren’t in a hurry but there were several times we had to wait in between courses and many times he passed by us without clearing plates or asking for another drink. It took forever to get our check but again that’s his style and at least we appreciate the good food and service. I would recommend going there if you have the time.
