Terrible experience, bad attitude, and awful food EVER!!! The ladies here are RACIST!! I will never never come back again!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m the foreigner tourist here, and trying to find some food during the chilly late night, we ordered fries and burger. When our food came out, the ladies just glared at us and say: get out, table outside. And when we found out the fries is actually overcooked and taste bitter than others, we asked the ladies to check up on it, they refused to re-do or refund the fries at the first time. After they re-do the fries, they just said take it and get out with even a tiny bit apologize. I still can’t believe it happens in such a beautiful and peaceful town. Why we have to be treated like this? Just because we’re foreigner tourist?? People cannot change their appearance. Really disappointed by their attitude tonight, it literally ruined my whole night.

Nice little historic diner in downtown Portsmouth. By little, I mean there’s 8 small stools inside. Don’t let the outside fool you though.. it looks like it’s spacious, but it’s all kitchen. (No bathroom) We stopped in here on the way back from Maine, for an afternoon bite to eat. The menu is basic old school tiny diner faire... burgers hots dogs and fries. They did have poutine though, which is what I ordered. It was my first time trying poutine. It was pretty good. We also ordered a burger and regular fries. The cook not only cooked the fries to order, but he CUT them to order, which was surprising and awesome! The fries were the star of the show.. super good! Check this cool little spot out if your in Portsmouth!

This small 8 stool diner is absolutely amazing! My husband and I ate late night (our first time ever) and was greeted by Arlene with a smile who then took our order and then cooked it! We had double cheese burgers add bacon with “everything” , Poutine (was super cheesy and delicious without being soggy) and the chili cheese fries (full of flavor!). Really enjoyed the history and overall vibe of the place. Will definitely be back to check out with our kids :) Picnic Table’s are set outside when the weather gets nice adding more room for service. Take out available but can not call ahead and no delivery services which is understandable for place this size.

Very mediocre American food. Noticed that the two workers in there treated my friend and I (POC) very differently compared to the other customers. And not in a good way. Cashier was in a bad mood and it resulted in poor service. She might’ve been tired but came off very rude. Some reviews were saying similar ratings about the workers coming off as racist and I wouldn’t be surprised. Maybe consider retraining employees for customer service because it really does have a big impact on a business. A smile couldn’t hurt your workers, sort of disappointed that this spot turned out to be a low rating due to lack of customer service.

I've heard so many good things about this place but to me, it was just okay. I wouldn't go out of my way to order from here. My food was fine but nothing out of this world. The woman taking care of me was so kind and respectful too. It's a cute place and I am happy I tried it but I probably won't go back.

Cool little diner in the heart of Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The double hamburger and fries were off the charts!!! Credit/debit cards are accepted.

Must stop!!! Get the beans and dogs. Chili cheese fries also to sample the chili. Nice touch buttered white bread with beans.

Wow !! Sandwich cheesy steak was soooo good ! We took it with cheesy chili fries and it was phenomenal. I totally recommend that place for a fast eating and fresh fast-food type. The restaurant is so cute too! Worth the trip

What a cute little place! We got poutine. It was delicious and not overpriced like most other places. ($7.50) Cozy little bar to eat at. Employees were friendly and genuinely happy to see you.

This is a great place to eat day or night. As far as the reviews on racism that’s just ridiculous. Steve and his wife are great people and very kind. There is the one lady in there that comes off kind of brash but at the end of the day you try constantly serving the town drunks and unruly people
