Been here a few times and the sun was shining and the food and the service. Was excellent. Wanted a light lunch and had the chicken flat bread which was delicious

This is an easy 5 🌟restaurant for its convenient location, its outdoor large seating area overlooking the sea, friendly staff and simple menu yet very tasty food. We sat outside and my thoughts quickly recalled the before Covid Mediterranean beach holiday memories, only to be woken out of my dream by the reality of the British weather, cold and rain in June 😢so, the manager told us we had to sit inside because he didn’t want the staff getting wet as they delivered our food 😶that’s why I rated it as a 4 😢 Now let’s get back to the food 😜the fish batter was fluffy and light and it didn’t leave you feeling heavy, one of us didn’t want the tasty and also very fluffy ships so the chef replaced them with deliciously baked rosemary new potatoes. Thank you 🙌. The whole experience was nice and cosy and the decor was orignal and to the point. It’s a must visit restaurant 💯💯💯

To be totally honest I was so very underwhelmed by the quality of the food. I had the seafood cocktail.. which was bland and the sauce tasted like it was out of a jar. The steak main course was supposed be medium rare but came out medium to well done. No sides with the main meal, these were all options at a cost..I would expect the main course to include some form of vegetables. And a Steak that costs over £20 I would expect it to come with fries/chips as a bare minimum. Having to pay extra for fries is poor value. The location is great, right on the beach but the food was a let down. Staff service was good. Facilities are clean and appear to be hygienic. For the 2 courses I paid £50 completely overpriced I have had much better quality at half the price. I found this restaurant overly expensive for the product it offers.

It’s without a doubt the best place to eat near the pier, it’s league above the other places there (unless you want to walk 20 minutes). It’s not perfect though and they are overpriced, maybe you’re paying for the view as if you can site outside it’s beautiful. The burger was good and reasonably priced compared to other restaurants, however there’s certain things on the menu that are priced ridiculously the salad is one, I opted for the Greek salad which was delicious but you get such a small bowl for £10 it would never fill you up, luckily I ordered chips to go with it, the chips are also overpriced (they are good though). It’s a good place don’t get me wrong (hence 4 stars) but I think they either needs to make some their dishes better value for money or reduce the prices.

Nice location, nice view, comfortable seating outside. Dog friendly. I had an americano and a stonefire peach cobbler. I must say, the dessert came in a 5 star presentation and just the right temperature, but it was too sweet and I couldn't finish it. I hope they work on this, as it is nice consistency and really lush dessert.

The location is the main asset of the place 🌊, literally next to the sea (see 📷 attached). You can enjoy either coffee ☕, drinks 🍻 or lunch🍝🥗🍱. Is ideal for a family with kids menu available. The dishes, oh gosh...they were great, we tried the chicken🐔 sandwich club, the beach club Cocteil dish and the kids had fish 🐠🐋🐟 and chips🍟. They were all really tasteful. You can see photos of the dishes ordered attached. The prices were reasonable and the staff smiley 😄, helpful and polite. I would definitely visit that place again.

Picturesque location, airy and spacious interiors, supreme service, and reasonably priced, tasty consumables – so tasty, in fact, that I was stuck in devouring mode and forgot to take my habitual photos 😱 Never fear, though: one managed to make it out of my camera. I'd recommend this place for brunching and lunching. If there's one thing I'd improve, it would be having more gluten-free and 'veganable' menu options.

We visited the Beach Club Bar and Restaurant for lunch on a Monday during our recent visit to Portsmouth. It was a great spot to stop for a feed and a couple of drinks. We sat outside, on the glass-walled balcony overlooking the bay towards the Isle of Wight. We were warned against sea spray but didn't experience any as it was quite a calm day. The service was quite good, with plenty of staff on for the number of customers. We really enjoyed our meals. They were quite generous in size and well-prepared. Drinks were delivered quickly. Overall a good spot for lunch, in a good location for a day along the coast.

Fantastic service and food. Very clean, spotless and staff really friendly. As for the setting, you would have to go a long way to beat this!! It reminded me of dinning on the beachfront in California, admittedly the weather contributed to that but the Californian's don't serve a breakfast as good as that!! Access was good all flat surface so very easy for families and people with access issues. Definitely recommend.

We visited for the first time today and had such a positive experience. Big thank you to the lovely lady who served us; she was so kind and helpful. Our youngest is autistic and really quite picky with food. She was really kind when he started to wobble about what the sauce was on the kids linguine. She said the kitchen could be flexible and, sure enough, they accommodated his requirements perfectly with no fuss or drama. The food when it arrived was beautiful. We all had really different things (burger, pizza, seafood and kids linguine). All were cooked perfectly and tasted amazing! Honestly couldn’t fault the food or service. Then, obviously, there’s the incredible location. When we arrived the tide was in and it felt almost like we were sat on a tiny island in the sea, with the waves splashing against the side. Everyone loved watching the hovercrafts zooming across, plus all the other sea craft. We’re already planning our return trip. Thanks again for a really great evening!

We were visiting Southsea and wanted lunch with a sea view. Couldn't have been any more perfect, the food was excellent (whole stuffed sea bream ) and the view across the Solent. Even watched the hovercraft coming and going! Thoroughly recommend. P.S. Totally dog friendly, inside and out 👍👍

My friend and I went there for lunch and we loved it. Customer service was really good, lovely staff. Food looked and tasted amazing. I had this crab salad and my friend had their vegan lentil burger, and we were delighted with the portions that we were served. We also had a cheeky dessert (baileys mousse with gingerbread) that we very much enjoyed. We will definitely come back.

Spotted this beach front restaurant from the ferry and thought we would give it a try for lunch. Food was delicious and got to recommend the Whipped Feta Salad with Flat Iron steak - absolutely amazing!! Amazing view over the Solent as you enjoy your food. Dog friendly as well which is an added bonus.

Visited for breakfast and what a wonderful way to start the day with beautiful views over the Solent. The staff were attentive and friendly and the food delicious. The menu offers a good range of dishes with choices a cut above your full English. Wonderful tasty al fresco dining! Well worth a visit.

We sat outside and had a cup of coffee and cake. The coffee was very smooth and they even had oat milk. My toddler enjoyed a scoop of icecream in a little pot. Lovely relaxed atmosphere watching the boats sail by and lovely very friendly staff. The cake was absolutely delicious. The best I've had in a very long time.

It was amazing, the staff are helpful and understanding. You can't doubt the food taste, that so fresh and amazingly made, and it makes you full for long. You must try it's Prawn, that are so so so smooth, I ordered that again. Drinks are amazing. Just a long queue, better if you first do the seat booking when you visit the beach and then come for food at your desired time without waiting. We preferred sitting outside with 🌊⛴️ view.

Absolutely lovely place on the sea front. Lovely kinds staff who are willing to help with any requests or issues. The food was perfect. The eggs benadict was cooked to perfection (for my tastes) and I requested extra crispy bacon, which came out perfectly. Didn't try the alcoholic drinks but there are cocktails on menu and great selection of hot drinks. The mocha was rich, cream and delicious. 10/10 would recommend.

I set off from my hotel with this place being my final destination for the day. It was perfect , great sea views , hot sunshine , nice cold cider and probably the best pizza I have ever had in my life . This is a must go to place if in southsea / Portsmouth.

If the sunshine is out, the vista is amazing at sundown. Service is excellent although you may receive a number of people so difficult to leave a cash tip. Food is great, atmos is better and service is brilliant

Went for a breakfast menu my favourite was the french toast. I did also try both the smoked salmon with eggs benedict muffins and the veggie breakfast. The sea view on the deck is great specially on sunny days.

Exceptional food with excellent service, in really pleasant surroundings. Would have been nice to sit outside, as lovely views across the Solent, but unfortunately conditions were a tad blowy! Can highly recommend the Seafood skillet, in which the sea bass was the best I'd ever tasted. Wife had fish & chips which was gluten free. Very minor criticism would be to allow the salting of the fish & chips to be a decision for the customer and not done beforehand. Great though to see such an extensive menu have numerous gluten free options. Overall a really good experience and will definitely return when in the area again as identified several items on the menu to try!

Lovely place and helpful staff. Gluten Free fish and chips were lovely and staff knowledgeable and supportive with explaining options. Highly recommend. The fish finger bap also looked amazing and the kids were happy with their burgers

Looking for somewhere to eat that was not only dog friendly but also had some vegan options on the menu. When I asked to see the menu I was told not only did they have vegan options but also some of the options could be MADE vegan. It was that comment that told me I was in the right place. We were offered a table inside (for a lot of other places dog friendly means letting customers eat outside). The vegan club Sandwich was delicious and the coleslaw that went with it was vegan as well. The service was polite and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The place we were going to go to was extra busy which is what made us try The Beach Club and in future we will make this our "go to" spot. Update it is one of our "go to" spots on Southsea. Another fantastic meal today (vegan pizza) with melt in the mouth skinny fries.

Good service. Found the bao buns not to my personal taste but excellently presented. Also had a very good view out the window.
