Wonderful little place! Had a really good time here. Has a few different style restaurants to grab either a quick bite or a more substantial meal. It also has a great little arcade that is a lot of fun! There is plenty to do here and could keep you entertained for a few hours. It is both kid and adult friendly and all the staff seem to be friendly Will definitely be coming back here.

Go at sunset, it's just stunning. Great takaway kebab place, selling everything you could possibly want. I had a bananna milkshake, superb!

Serena is the 🖤 n Soul of this place . 🫖 , ☕️ & 🍰 ( a plethora of them 🧁). The welcome smile from Serena is 🖤 warming & she cares her whole 🖤 for old time regulars to newbies who are just passing ( dog 🐕 walking or with their children ) grabbing a takeaway 🫖 or ☕️. The cafe is “DOG” 🐶 🐩 🐕 friendly. Each dog is offered ( with the the owner’s permission of course ) a feee biscuit 🍪. There are items The menu specifically just for Dogs 🐩s Great place up spend a little or a while , chatting meeting old & yet to be new friend. The banter is incredible. 1,000,000/10 HIGHLY RECOMMEND this venue without question. One happy customer ( almost part of the furniture 😃😆😃) / client Dee 👍👍👍

We had a nice time at the amusement arcade on the pier overlooking the beach. The person in charge was friendly and easygoing with the tickets and prizes, which the kids really appreciated. The kids even mentioned that compared to other arcades, the prizes were better for the number of tickets we earned. It's worth mentioning that the 'Quik Drop' machine was a hit for those with quick hands, as it yielded a lot of tickets. While the arcade could use a little cleaning, we understand that it was a busy bank holiday at a popular seaside location. Overall, it's a good spot to have some fun and try your luck at winning great prizes!

Lovely place for younger children (ours are 3 and 5) but we did struggle when it came to finding toilets that weren't in restaurants. Parking up near the Pyramid seems the best option as the other car parks filled up pretty quickly

Has a wide range of activities and food available. Today we visited the arcade and yeh sure we are adults but we had a great time playing the games. There's one where you have water guns and shoot the screen and you win tickets, it's a lot of fun :) There's a coffee shop just inside on the right and an ice cream shop at the front. You can walk around the side to the end of the pier where there are some carnival rides. There's a fish and chip restaurant there. You can access the Gaity bar which has some great events there, with food and a good range of drinks. In summer it is nice to come here and have a drink

Lately the pier was closed from the east side, fenced by the wire gate, and I could enter, but now the gate is open (I don't know the closing times or how long it will be operating) but overall I love this pier. Benches all around, amusement park working in season and restaurants and cafes, what more can you want? :)

I love this place, and it can be quite tranquil and rejuvenating. You could get youngsters mischief and feel the lack of civil order, but it is stunning. There is a nice variety of international and English cuisine to choose from, kids entertainment and certainly a lovely sunset, enchanting views over the Solent, towards the Isle of Wight.

To the Owners. Why doesn’t someone with some authority/owners keep this lovely old iconic pier clean and tidy. There are some beautiful old Victorian white seats that span the perimeter of the pier, but you can never sit on them because they are either always wet after a rainy day or they’re filthy dirty form stupid parents letting their unruly children stand all over them! Clean the place up and have some pride in the place. Put some signs up, no standing on the seats. Plus no dog should be allowed on the pier. It’s a great place to visit and it has lots historical value. But I’ve seen old people who want to sit down but they can’t! Don’t let this pier go down the drain because of shear laziness. Or sell the pier to me and I’ll make it work. Just because most of Britain is going down the pan doesn’t mean that you have to join and let it happen here. There a number businesses on the pier, earning a living from the visitors. You would think that they would want to get together as a community and clean the place up in order to encourage and attract their customers? What’s wrong with people these days?

It was nice visiting again. Very beautiful site, lots of activities for kids only if they open every time. Lovely atmosphere during summer. The kids loved it. A nice place to visit

This is our second trip here in the past 12 months. However I actually took pictures and notes this time to share!! Parking at this time of year isn't badly priced £8.50 for 5 hours. We paid via Ringo on the app so that we could extend out if needed and there's plenty of parking the full length of the beach. We went to the arcade at South parade pier which was good, had a free cash machine and a good selection of toys in the 2p machines. You also collected tickets on all machines which could be exchanged for toys or sweets at the counter too. We had gyros at the Greek place which was just as good as the first time we had it. If you like Greek food you will love this!!! One wrap, a large mixed box and a portion of chicken meat plus 2 drinks cost £33 which for gyros we've found isn't badly priced at all. We then walked along the beach past the D day memorials and onto the next load of arcades. These had a wider selection of toys and some great grabber machines which you could actually win on for 20p a go (my 8yo won a bubble tea toy after 2 tries!). Cons - Cash machines cost between £1.65 and £1.99 for withdrawal and you don't get tickets from their 2p machines. We also had fresh donuts 6 for £6 and various other naughty treats before walking back along the beach. It's really important to note that the beach by South Parade Pier is dog friendly between 30 Sept and 1st May however further round is not. All arcades were dog friendly which is great and we sat inside to eat out gyros with the dog too. All round another great day out and we will be back!

Such a very beautiful and very silent place. Recently I meet this place and it’s amazing. There are also have a big bar and fish shop for eating and little drinking area. For children’s, there are a mini entertainment place with 10-15 different rides.

No Toilets: A Lovely traditional Pier including amusements and an entertainment area, catering outlets and fairground during the summer. The Pier was upgraded a few years ago, but some parts need a bit of attention. Especially the entrance canopy. We did not visit the Blue Reef Fish Restaurant but it looks very fresh and clean. There is also a Tea Coffee Snack bar at the end of the Pier. There is also fishing permits available with a good area for fishing at the end of the Pier. Marked down as no toilets. It seems unfortunate to say the least that none are available. Toilets are available at the nearby lake. There is a reassuring very subtle security presence. We'll worth a visit.

The pier is a fun place to bring the family, great lunch options, and great amusement options. Also, the sea is very nice to have a dip, and the kids can play in the ocean and look for shells and sea loss. Our family had a wonderful time here, and the costs are reasonable. The weather is always perfect with the sun. Shining everyday and people in such a good mood. We felt at home very comfortable and happy.

Nice to come across the pier, and there was the usual ice cream, fish and chips vendor, and arcade but to find a public toilet on the pier was a task. No signs to direct to the nearest public toilets. Ended up asking a passing lady if she knew. Luckily she was a local and said I would need to go through the hall and ask at bar for a code to use theres (a darts club competition seemed to be occurring).

Brilliant fun staff on rides were brilliant, very helpful, and friendly. My youngest cried on roller coaster and the guy shouting over the noise and reassuring to her.

A delightful pier. Ideal for families & a stroll on your own. Beautiful views over the Solent to the IOW. Enchanting! Amusements for all. Kiddies mini fairground rides. Selection of places to buy food & drink. Plenty of seats to just sit and take in the sea air. It's the best medicine!

If you are disabled you won't be allowed on any of the rides but they will still sell you tokens and refuse you entry after you queue up, apparantly this is the manufacturer of the rides fault not the park! It's expensive, most staff are rude and can't be bothered if your prize gets stuck they huff n puff about sorting it out then say it wasn't you that won it! Not many positives really but the location is nice and it would be a shame to lose it ,, Oh and the chip shop in the arcade is virtually ineadible, have not tried the other one Best part was the upside down house but costs a fortune to get in 9 tokens each!!!

An amazing beautiful scenic area of Portsmouth. Especially in early spring or summer. You could also have a BBQ in the vast green areas, if not you can head to the many cafés or restaurants in the surrounding areas!

Rocky beach but feels great under the sun this season! There were people walking their dogs, playing with their kids, and simply having a great time when we went there. There's also an entertainment center inside the building, with many shops and seating areas. The closest public toilet is at the nearby Canoe Lake.

Ice creams here are very good! Pricey, but tasty! We went on the pier to play some arcade games. Most games are £1 to play. Plenty of 2p machines. We went on a very hot Saturday and it wasn't too busy on the pier.

Only a small pier, but still a nice place to visit good restaurant and bar plus in the summer rides for smaller children to enjoy with great views across to the Isle of Wight.

This is a large pebble beach with several ice cream and coffee shops around. There's also a pier with a games arcade and more shops. Across the road is a lake with grass banks and a small ice cream shop. There is a reasonable amount of parking available but very little of it is free of charge, so be prepared to fork out roughly £2 per hour for parking. The whole area is very commercialised so if you don't like this sort of thing then probably best to look for something quieter. Because it's right at the end of Southsea you'll often hit a lot of traffic trying to get there. We went on a bank holiday and, as you can imagine, it was quite busy. It's not really my cup of tea because there's too much hustle and bustle on account of all the commercial enterprise at the beach but if you like that sort of thing and you don't mind the traffic then you may well enjoy it.

Great fun for all the family. Situated near a pebble beach, it has arcades, a small fun fair, cafes, restaurants and bars. Parking can be a struggle though when busy.

    * Review of "Jewels & Gems of the Sea"* Deep fried squid is one of my greatest loves and I consider it a real treat but can be hard to find a good source. Look no further! Fresh, crispy and a good portion! Friendly service and nice clean shop. There is a great selection on the menu that I hope to try later in the year. This business is certainly worth a visit. That combined with a walk around Southsea is a great trip out! To summarise, in my opinion, little beats snacking on fried squid at the beach!

Excellent pier, lots of food and clothing shops nearby. We went on a ride around the Marina, it cost's £12 for adults and definitely worth it. These are images of the war ships

Quite beautiful, and fun place to spend some time with your friends, or families. There is some restaurant's in there, and some nice view's from pier itself alongside the coastline.
