This post is long overdue! My wife and I really enjoy Localz Kitchen, and have been here more than once. We celebrated our 29th anniversary last weekend and the food did not disappoint! Our meals were absolutely delicious. I had the surf and turf combo with a t-bone steak and stuffed shrimp while my wife had the hasta la pasta with shrimp. Both were on point! 🤌🏼 We had the berry cake for dessert and it was ok. All in all a superb dining experience and Samantha took care of us, she was awesome! We'll be back for sure 🤠

While visiting the area for the 1st time we came upon this restaurant! Food was great & the serving sizes (even for app's) were HUGE!! Shannon our waitress was personable & very friendly! Yet she never lingered at the table to talk, that is until we pulled her in, yet was there to obtain a refill or whatever we needed, as soon as we needed it! We plan to return to the area next year & will definitely be stopping for dinner again!!

My friend and I had just finished a meditation class in TIverton on a Monday evening and we planned to grab a bite to eat afterward. Localz was one of the few restaurants open and they were delighted to serve dinner to us at 8pm! We enjoyed our generous portion of nachos and chatted through closing time. Not once did they make us feel like we were rushed to leave! What great hospitality!!

Absolutely the best! Great food, atmosphere & service!

Other than one of us getting food poisoning from the Cole slaw, we had a wonderful time here. The chicken fajitas were great (a little too heavy on the sauce). The grilled chicken in them, and topping a salad as well, was cooked perfectly. We were seated right away even though it was quite busy.

Localz is a good meal at a fair price. They don't take reservations and aren't on open table, that's a bit of a downer, but overall you can't go wrong here. Try the corn and bacon dip as an appetizer.

Nice tavern, seemed like an older crowd. The French onion soup was excellent. I also had the steak salad which was good quality steak and cooked as ordered. They have a kids menu as well. Nice place to grab a drink or dinner in Portsmouth.

Great food and service!! The place has atmosphere being in a waterfront location. So many good menu choices. I liked that it was a varied menu because so many places just cater to seafood dishes, here there was something for everyone. Food was awesome- fresh salad and bread, veggies and the entres were very satisfying. We definitely will be back to try other dishes. Server was so friendly and efficient.

Very disappointing. I am gluten free & find most restaurants very accommodating. Not so here. Rolls & asparagus. I ordered scallops grilled plain & they had an odd taste. I only ate 1 & the server never asked if there was a problem. $27 later, I've been sick 😫 all night. Can't understand all the good reviews.

We were greeted promptly and given three options for seating. Zach was spot-on with friendly, knowledgeable, and very efficient service. Peel & eat shrimp were an ample portion & medium-sized, cooked to perfection & tasty. Firecracker shrimp was bland & we assume the "spicy" was coming from the banana peppers. Surf & turf was very good although steak was a little undercooked, still tasty though. Buffalo Mac & cheese is also a winner & is enough for three meals. Seafood Alfredo was a perfect combo of Alfredo (not soupy & thick like some places) for the pasta, shrimp, & scallops. Margaritas will warm you up although I didn't like the (seemingly) table salt used for the rim (it was like a paste.) Overall great place. Looking forward to visiting again! 02/24 Again, the service and food were great. Steak tips were cooked well. I highly recommend the shrimp cocktail. Three massive shrimp, the largest I've ever seen. Colossal is an understatement! The seafood casserole, which isn't really a casserole, is excellent The sweet breadcrumbs they put on top of the fish, shrimp, and scallops is a nice addition.

Came in with a group of 7 and seated immediately. Well, Localz did just open at 4. Eddie was our server and very knowledgeable and friendly. I had the Buffalo Chicken Mac and Cheese and, oh boy, it was delicious. The view from the windows was pretty at sunset. I'd highly recommend Localz if in the area, we'll definitely be back. Tickets is a very nice restaurant with great atmosphere for a casual outing. We went late afternoon on a Friday, and we were lucky to get in right away with no wait time. 10 minutes after we sat the place started getting really busy with 30 minutes wait time. We sat indoors at a table for dinner, the music playing was a good selection. The waitress was very friendly and knowledgeable about the dishes. We got our drinks within 5 minutes form ordering it and they were very flavorful, and they make a very tasty classic margarita. The pan seared blackened swordfish dish was done to perfection and exquisite, the shrimp and scallops scampi needed a little more garlic to our liking. Overall, it was a enjoyable evening with good service. We took home a piece of the chocolate cake and the strawberry short cake. They both were mouthwatering and succulent. I will tell my friends about this great place.

Great place staff was very friendly and accommodating they are very busy on weekends go early or during the week.prices are good and portions are definitely satisfying

Went to the Localz in Portsmouth for dinner. It was our first time. There around 4:30 PM. No wait at this time. Pleasant atmosphere. Two floors of seating so they have good capacity. The food was very good and the portions were substantial. Server was great. We plan to go again.

There were a lot of locals on a packed Wednesday night at the end of September. The waitress was great. My wife loved her cider & my IPA was tasty. The food was fresh & delicious. We got there as it was getting dark but the sunset view was awesome. It just hit all the checkmarks of a great dining experience. I'm glad we went

Awesome staff and amazing food! I got A Pistachio Martini and Pesto Crusted Salmon! Definitely recommend this restaurant!

Happened upon this place while coming back from Colt State park. Wonderful service, the drinks were delicious and well poured. The food taste, portion sizes, and presentation were perfect. I can’t wait to go back.

We received exceptional service and delicious food while enjoying some great live music. Every appetizer, salad, entree and dessert was homemade and yummy. Best possible dining experience and we highly recommend.

Food was very good our waitress was quick, very pleasant & attemtive.Our seats overlooked the water, which we found quite nice. I'd love to sit outdoors in the summer. Highly recommend ! I'll be back 👍

Large menu with varied choices. Everything we ordered was delicious. We had a seat upstairs that overlooked the water! And our waitress delivered service that we haven't seen in a long long time.

I don't like to complain but it took almost an hour from ordering to receiving our meals. I did ask our server at about the 40 minute mark what was going on. While she was not a bad server and was otherwise pretty attentive, she did say she was sat five tables after we arrived and was struggling to keep up. I waited tables in college so I sympathize but that's just not something you say to your guests as if we had anything to do with that. Food was pretty good, anyway. But extremely loud inside when they're rocking. Be prepared to shout your dinner conversations.

First time there. Recommended by a local. Love that it is right on the water and I got to eat outside. Only complaint was that I didn't ask about the price for the special that I ordered, seafood scampi, which was delicious. It cost $48 at what was otherwise a moderately priced restaurant. That was sticker shock. Granted, the dish was loaded with lobster, but I would have preferred half the amount with a salad or some vegetables included. There were a few cherry tomatoes in the dish, but very few. Ended up taking half of my order home because there was so much. Less, with some vegetable sides for variety, would have been more. The dessert, lemon blueberry cake, was wonderful.

Great local restaurant with delicious Seafood & Pasta. Multiple options including small plates from the appetizer list and salads. Grilled Swordfish and (at another time) the Salmon Caesar salad were both excellent. My wife loves the black truffle sacchetti. Right on the water, with great views. Nice outdoor dining for summer season

We had some small plates and were pleasantly surprised by this local spot - definitely try the seafood cakes if they have them!

Our “go to” restaurant! We do the dine-in and relax! The menu has such a delightful variety! Many specials are available, they change frequently. The staff is very accommodating and cheerful. Excellent food, EXCELLENT SERVICE. We sat outside and Shannon was our server. Can't say enough about her. A must if you are on the island!
