Edit: I wanted to update since we have finally been able to discuss with their billing department. It sounds like the billing issue was more or less a battle between the hospital and our insurance. Some communication would have been nice, but it seems like the hospital is on our side in working to have insurance take if this like they said they would. Wife went in for surgery, we paid the bill sent to use from the hospital and the anesthesiologist. Almost a year later we find out they have been attempting to send bills to our insurance for $39,000!!! four times over the last several months now. This bill shows anesthesia (which we were billed for and paid for separately already), and thousands upon thousands of dollars of hospital charges which we have a receipt from our insurance 9 months ago saying โ€œpaid: owes $0.00โ€ This was finally brought to our attention and we will be contacting Monday. Be weary though, their billing practices are shady and communication on the matter is absolutely horrible.

They failed to disclose that my insurance provider didnt cover the services they provided and slapped me with a $100 bill. According to Trumps โ€œFull transparency actโ€ they are required to. When i brought this up to their billing department they said they were in fact not required to disclose that information which absolutely baffles me. Every other primary care office has fold me what my charges are before the service except them. 10/10 would bot recommend this place to anyone that cant dish out their wallet.

My experience at Northwest Specialty was beyond amazing EVERYONE I came in contact with for any reason were friendly, professional and skillful at their jobs. I , having been a nurse myself for almost 30years felt very proud of the nursing staff... they are what nurses are supposed to be....strong, compassionate, genuinely caring not only for her patients body but their mind and spirits as well. Thank you all for making me feel safe and very well taken care of. ,

After a rough start with the billing dept a very nice woman spent a great deal of time on the phone with me to ensure I understood the discrepancy in our charges. Our daughter has now had 2 knee surgeries with NWSH and the level of care from the providers and support staff has been second to none. She even got a surprise visit from a local legend... Anton Watson!!

So my appointment in April I was told for my MRI I would need $125 deposit at time of appt or they could not do the MRI. I paid the $125 cash deposit. Didnt get a receipt. Wasnt offered one. Now Months later they are saying that they have zero record of my payment. HMMMMM> funny but yet I got my MRI that had to have the deposit paid in order to get it? Maybe someone pocketed my $125? Terrible service, made me feel like a liar. Like "did you really pay the $125?" Horrible customer services. Lesson learned always get a receipt. Always!!!!!!

THEY DONT KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING AND HAVE ZERO COMMUNICATION SKILLS WITH PAITENTS AND STAFF took my mom for a biopsy and surgery they never called her when they were gonna be she had to call them just for them to tell her they thought they called her. Then they lost her biopsy results/ thought she hadn't gotten the procedure done yet. And don't even get me STARTED on how the surgery went andnot telling us her after care at all. Hate this place

This is the best Surgery Hospital I have ever been to. Amazing doctors, nurses, and all the rest of the staff working there. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I will be going back for one more surgery there.

My husband Pete had full hip replacement this past Monday. We both were totally impressed with the quality and care he received while in there. They worked like a well oiled machine but at the same time we never felt they didnโ€™t have time to answer our questions. They are highly recommended by us. Everyone there had a very positive caring attitude. Quite impressive!

Went this morning to see Dr. Pennings for my colonoscopy. It went better than I could have hoped for. The facilities are state of the art, and the staff is caring and compassionate. Smooth processing, well coordinated, organized and efficient patient care. As an RN, I was really impressed. I highly recommend them.

Wow, what can I say about this is hospital, it really blows my mind the amount of service and attention I received. Having several hospital procedures done in the last 10 years or so, I will say this is so refreshing it boggles the mind. I've had 4 procedures before, this is 5 and by far the best! The staff is ultra attentive and caring and all the steps I had to go through for infection control really surprised me above and beyond anything I have done before. My Surgeon(Dr. Blaty) is second to none and I understand why he is associated with this great hospital. The food was outstanding (filet mignon) and the staff was great, I was pleasantly surprised with my Ultra special I.V. Nurse, having issues with getting these started on me normally, She had no issue getting them started and with the amount of knowledge and experience, and also PAIN FREE. Unlike any procedure before, she gave me a numbing agent, then got 2 i.v.s, started whereas in earlier procedures, it has taken 3-4 times, FOR 1 I.V., more or less 2, and no numbing agent whatsoever, I realize this maybe isn't significant for most, but telling me she had to start 2 I.V.s, I really started to cringe. Never would I have guessed she would have done 2 in only 2 tries, that really saved me so much pain. If there is any way I will possibly need any other procedure done, it will be here by any way I can work it out, even though I live a 2-3 hrs away (Lewiston-Clarkston), that's how good it was. I Imagine you will find out how good it is as well, they will not disappoint! The service, the food, the staff themselves, well what can I say but THANK YOU..

Amazing service! I felt listened to and cared for during my visit. Everything went according to schedule and the toast โ€œCory-styleโ€ was awesome. I even received a nice card in the mail. Great all around :)

Rachel was an amazing pre-op nurse! All of the nurses and medical professionals, including anesthesia, were fantastic as well. They were compassionate and worked to put me at ease when I was very nervous, all the while keeping me updated on next steps ahead of the procedure. Iโ€™m so thankful I had surgery here!

About 8 years in to fighting Endo, and too many doctors/appointments/hospital visits in to count, I was recommended Dr. Duke by my PCP. I had expectations so low they were buried. I'd spent almost a decade being dismissed for any reason a dr could come up with. Dr. Duke TOOK ME SERIOUSLY and despite being reluctant (as most drs are to give a 20 y/o a hysterectomy), he was the only dr that let me schedule one (and once he saw the state my insides were in, followed through on all that paperwork I signed). He was thorough, careful, & took preventative measures to keep complications from occurring. Most important, SAVED MY LIFE. Dr. Duke and Meeka Bond and all associated office staff were helpful, kind and prompt. Surgery/post-op staff were very kind nd caring (including letting me have what must have been every pillow in the recovery room while I was waking up). Three years on, I feel the best I have in about a decade, am no longer a skeleton because I can't eat, can take walks, have hobbies, am HAPPY again. The pain isn't gone but it's manageable and NOTHING like it was before. I have recommended this team to my friends/family and they have had positive experiences as well. If you have Endo/Adeno and drs shove pills/ablation/therapy/etc down your throat, go to Dr. Duke and Meeka Bond to be taken seriously. I hope they can help you.

Just had surgery at NW and has the best care. I donโ€™t remember the names because I was trying to wake up from anesthesia. But, I loved everyone from the nurses, surgeon, scheduling. All was very easy and everyone was so friendly.

I crashed my e bike breaking 5 ribs this weekend.Your ER wisely sent me to Kootenai ER to save time. After an excruciatingly painful day we were allowed to go home with pain meds and a breath exercising tool.We were told my primary care would follow-up on meds ..not N.W! First an APPOINTMENT to discuss whether those are really ribs or really xrays..??

Had surgery and spent the night. Both doctors were patient explaining. The doctors, nurses and CNAS were friendly, professional and attentive.Room and bed was comfortable and clean. The food was fantastic, not just because I had to prep and fast the day before. Very tasty. Every bit of it was great. Thank you all.

NWSH was the best place I have ever been to have surgery! My care was exceptional, and everyone took time to talk with me. I never once felt like I was just a patient but someone they care about. And the food was outstanding! 5 stars on my meals. I never want to go anywhere else to have a surgery. Everyone that came to help me was happy and I could tell the loved where they worked. It was a fantastic stay considering, I had a total hip replacement. I just canโ€™t thank them all enough.

Yesterday I underwent surgery at Northwest Specialty Hosp. From the moment I walked in I was treated extremely well. The entire staff was professional, caring and efficient. They were even able to fit me in over an hour early. A well oiled machine, but, also attended to any personal requests I had such as a pillow to go under my knees just prior to being anesthetized. Also, the level of sterility and safeguards that I underwent was appreciated. Being offered a snack upon waking in recovery was also lovely. PB on toast surely hit the spot. My surgeon, Dr Keese, was also reassuring, kind and professional. He explained everything thoroughly and provided sketches to further illustrate what the surgery would entail. I have recently retired from a medical environment. I was pleased to find a hospital in my area that afforded me the level of medical care I am used to receiving with my prior insurance and city. Although previously, I don't ever remember being offered a snack. Definitely recommend N. W. Specialty Hospital

I am very impressed with the staff at NW specialty Hospital. Very professional and efficient. From the gal who registered me at the front desk to everyone in between. Callie was my first nurse, and was wonderful. Melissa came in to do my IV & was very personalble. I met Levi & Scott as well, nice guys. Scott brought lots of humor to the room. Kayla was my nurse after surgery and was amazing. The kindness of the staff was much appreciated. They worked so well as a team & seemed to have a great working relationship. I've told everyone about how great the Hospital staff was and how easy my surgery went. Thank you for taking such great care of me.

I just had a total knee replacement at Northwest Specialty Hospital in Post Falls and found it to be staffed by some of the friendliest, caring and professional employees. Including everybody! I went into surgery very comfortable having had every question addressed and all my comfort needs taken care of. I had a pleasant overnight stay and the food was incredible.

The staff at Northwest Specialty Hospital who I came into contact with for my surgery were excellent from the front at registration to the surgical staff, nurses and aids and pt staff. They took such great care of me! I am grateful to all of them. I also receive a beautiful hand written thank you card in the mail after my surgery! Now thatโ€™s what I call a caring team! It made me tear up. Thanks to all of you at NSH.

Fantastic staff. They make sure you are comfortable and take you through your procedure step by step. I feel comfortable and in good hands with the providers. This is my second procedure and great experience both times. They make sure you are comfortable and monitor your vitals throughout your stay. The wait time in the lobby was short both times. I would recommend to my family and friends. Thank you Northwest for helping with my back pain.

Dr Dewing and his whole team were absolutely excellent. Friendly, concerned, communicative, professional, and just all around amazing! He performed hip surgery on me in Spokane a couple of years ago, and I was so impressed I immediately requested him when I found out I was going to have to get the other side done. The care at Northwest Specialty Hospital was just as amazing, and the facility was excellent.

Everything about the check-in process, surgery prep, and post-op was exceptionally well run and efficient. Excellent staff all the way around. And the food? Simply amazing. Besides the food being excellent, they always seemed to have something available upon request. I would highly recommend this facility for surgeries.

I recently had a hysterectomy here. Dr Young was amazing. All of my nurses were so helpful and friendly. This was the best experience I have had with heath professionals in a very long time. After many years of pain, bouncing around from doctor to doctor I finally found a doctor who listened and did not question my pain. I am so grateful and you guys have gained a loyal patient.

When it comes to preventative health aspects of my life, I am always looking for providers that are highly respected and professional in the areas of their practice. Northwest Specialty Hospital is exactly that. They have a reputation that holds true in all they stand for. Myself, as a patient at NSH; I felt at peace through the entire process of my procedure. The staff are the best in their field. From the moment I came in to my discharge, I was well taken care of. Thanks you Dr Dirks and your team of awesome staff!!

I had an amazing experience here! I was excited for my surgery and you can tell everyone else was excited for me too :D each member of the team working with me was friendly and made me feel so comfortable. This mindset helped me get through anesthesia with no anxiety shakes or crying. The woman in charge of making sure I was awake enough to go home was stellar! Strategically getting me to talk about things and focus on other people in the room to get my brain to wake up :) these people really knew what they were doing

Awesome experience this time at the hospital! The first time I went in back in October it didn't go so well but they proved to me they are a group of great people this time! The whole process went faster and my needs were met with urgency which I appreciate very much. They worked hard to get and keep my pain level down which is very important to me. I will always chose them as my go to hospital! Thanks guys my whole family appreciates you all so much! They can rest at ease while I'm in your care and that is a great feeling!
