Food and service always fabulous. Love the owner who is 100% authentic. Great martinis. Get the "Orange 24". The fried feta is AMAZING and you will never in your life have better sea bass and rice than at The White House. The rice pudding is to die for! If you don't like garlic just get a salad I guess because there's A LOT of garlic.

On April 29, 2022, I ate at the White House Grill for the first time. My wife and 5-year-old daughter and 2-year-old son comprised part of a 13-person party that gathered to celebrate my sister-in-law’s birthday. What a fun place to eat! We were seated at a long table in the back of the restaurant and had a really memorable time. First, the food. My wife ordered the Turkish Cigars as an appetizer and I have to be honest and say they weren’t really my cup of tea. I was hoping for a greater cheese balance than spinach balance but that is just the way things go. My hesitancy made my wife happy because it meant more Turkish Cigars for her. For my entrée I ordered the chicken burger. The large piece of tender, garlic-y chicken was in between a pretzel bun and was so good. I enjoyed the seasoned French fries and managed to eat every one. My wife ordered the Chicken Rome and let me tell you, that chicken breast was on point! Tasty and flavorful, I couldn’t let it go to waste after my wife stopped eating it simply because her stomach had reached capacity. I do have to point out that the pasta served with it was a little burnt with a spongy consistency. Perhaps best of all though was the curried chicken ravioli. I am a big curry fan and the White House ravioli does it justice. The menu describes the sauce as “rich” and that truly is the best way to describe it. It truly is a rich, flavorful dish. A children’s menu is offered and my daughter got spaghetti and my son got a grilled cheese sandwich. I want to now address the value. It is excellent. Portions are large and menu prices are low compared to what your average restaurant charges. It is a win-win! You can get appetizers for around $5, many entrees are priced in the $11-$13 range, and children’s menu options run in the $4.50-$6 range. You won’t feel ripped off or cheated here. You pay a pretty small price for a large amount of delicious food. Next you have the atmosphere. As I mentioned, the White House Grill is a fun place to eat. The restaurant layout is quirky with several different sections throughout the space. But no matter where you are in the place, that one-of-a-kind roasted strong garlic smell will delight your nose. Acoustics in the restaurant don’t offer a silent dining experience by any means but it isn’t too loud to have an audible, room-level conversation at your table. Lighting is dimmed and relaxed/romantic. All stimuli that you encounter within White House will aid in a pleasant experience. Last but not least, I want to commend the service. Kailie was our server and from the moment we sat down to when we left at the end of the night, she worked her tail off. She was kind and engaging with a smile on her face the whole time. She was easy to talk to and our large party’s order came out perfect. She rounded up her crew to sing “happy birthday” to my sister-in-law and she gladly served a cake that we brought from home. My wife and I ordered sodas and she was attentive to bring us refills whenever she noticed our glass getting low. We all genuinely appreciated Kailie’s effort. I strongly recommend the White House Grill as it delivers in all respects. I look forward to dining there again and suggesting it to friends.

Recently I made the unfortunate decision to visit the White House Grill for dinner. I made this choice after reading many positive reviews. I myself had driven by the restaurant growing up, and always wanted to try it. Upon being seated, I began to have doubts as the lighting and decor were in poor taste and the overall atmosphere was dingy and dark. We started with French onion soup, Fried Lamb meatballs and the Sarmisak dip. Of which the meatballs were burnt and the soup was tasteless. The baguettes that came with the dip were as hard as rock, thank goodness we asked for half pita bread. Things were not off to a good start. We then ordered the Mixed grill and Chicken Rome entrees. What we experienced as disappointment in the appetizers turned into disgust as our entrees were on another level of terrible. The shrimp in the mixed grill were as rubber, the lamb was dry and the fish was underwhelming. The Chicken Rome was so overcooked it was inedible. Both entrees came with a side of asparagus that was so drenched in oil and oversalted they were not fit for human consumption. At this point we hoped against hope that the dessert at least could perhaps save the night. Never were we so disappointed. What should have been the culmination of a good dinner was just another nail in the coffin of our experience. The baklava looked as if it was thrown onto the plate, the small square of pastry was not even centered on the dish, with crumbs and oil drops all over. The first bite revealed it be old, as oil was pooling around the base, and the top layer came off altogether when I tried to take a bite. It was stale. After making this attempt at a good night out we were wholly disheartened by our experience and our fallen hopes. This has been by far the worst restaurant experience I have endured in the Post Falls/CDA area. I will not be returning. I would also highly recommend anyone thinking of visiting this establishment not to waste their time or money.

Well, they didn't lie! The food here has garlic! Lots of it, haha. And if you don't mind having garlic breath for a bit, I think you'll enjoy it too! Greek plate was very good and very flavorful. Enjoyed all the food and even made some space for dessert! Gotta love the mouth wash in the restroom. Good idea😄

It's easily the top of the top 5 restaurants in North Idaho. You'd better love garlic! Martinis are fantastic with great themes. The staff is super-friendly and helpful with suggestion. Fried calamari is a must for us each visit. I love the Mixed Grill and my wife's go-to is the Sarma. Their Baklava is so good too - highly recommended.

The goat meatballs are fantastic and so is the garlic bread. I had the chicken fettuccine and it did not disappoint. I think they forgot about us cause people that came after us had their food way before us. But it was a SUPERB meal. Update 10/8/23 our waitress was lazy this time. She had been there every time but she wasn't taking good care of us. Plopped the bills down on the table instead of handing them to us. We asked about the specials and she pointed to the piece of paper but the piece of paper doesn't have the house special that's on the board so we had to get up and literally go look and do her job for I am highly disappointed the chicken parmesan the chicken had no flavor the other stuff was good the pasta salad was nasty creamy I don't know how to explain it

First time visiting, and we’ll definitely be back the next time we’re in Post Falls. Our waitress, Brittany, was friendly and attentive to our party of 8. The appetizers (fried feta and calamari) were perfectly prepared. The French onion soup is the best I’ve ever tasted. The curry chicken sandwich was amazing, as well. In spite of how full we were (many of us took leftovers home for dinner!), we shared some tiramisu, and it was delicious. Don’t forget to add a glass (or bottle) of Raci's red wine!

Great experience here. First I have to say the service was some of the best I’ve ever had. I am from Tennessee and had no idea what to expect because I have never eaten a Greek restaurant before. I ordered what the waitress suggested and got a little bit of everything. My food had the most fresh taste I couldn’t even have imagined. The fish was just so fluffy and full of flavor and perfectly seasoned. The lamb was not my favorite but I can’t deny how juicy and full of flavor it was. I was beyond full and beyond satisfied with everything about the entire experience. Drinks were strong and delicious as well. This place lives up to the hype for me.

Best Greek food I've had in a long time. The lamb kabobs were to die for. I knocked it down a star only because the green beans were pretty over cooked but overall dinner was great. The service was spot on for a busy Saturday night too!

Great place to eat when you love garlic. Garlic, garlic, and more of it! Great atmosphere, good waitresses and food. 2 if us couples went to dinner. For an appetizer we had the garlic bread, delicious. I had the chicken Parmesan with tomato sauce on it, garlic green beans ( one of the ways I will actually eat green beans, so that says allot 😋) , and garlic covered penne noodles. My wife had a gyro with fries on the side, that was super good as well, with some pasta salad on the side.

I don’t know how they get these good reviews, my experience was terrible at this place. I’m just glad I didn’t get sick from this bloody and undercooked chicken. I ordered take out, when I called them, they weren’t very accommodating, didn’t even offer to remake it, just keep telling me if you paid though DoorDash we can’t refund you, I’m like I paid though your website. They keep telling me they can’t refund me,like wtf… I disputed with my credit card. I didn’t eat my dinner, didn’t feel like getting sick with Salmonella. By the way, no one wears masks there.

If you enjoy Mediterranean (Greek-Italian-Slavic) food then The White House Grill will bless you with its array of garlicky and sumptuous choices. For a quick lunch we ordered the Greek Plate which comes to your table in 5 minutes. But I recommend trying the Firinda Sarmisak - a walnut, garlic and cheese dip paired with pita bread that brings joy to every corner of your tastebuds. The table next to us ordered the blackened salmon and it looked amazing! Outside seating is fun, and the relaxed vibe beckons you to have a glass of wine or a tasty drink. If you’re concerned about garlic breath, the bathrooms are equipped with a mouthwash station.

Great pricing for the amount of food you get, their drinks taste great and some have some pretty clever names. If you love garlic, I highly recommend it.

Great food and wonderful service. My daughter tried lamb and baklava for the first time, and she’s over the moon. Will definitely go back to try something different.

It was exceptionally warm but the hostess put us in a cooler location. Ordered the salmon without the cheese and capers but received it with the cheese and capers, server was gracious and took it back and got it right. When we checked out we seen that my whole meal was comped and I was thrilled but did not expect that. Will definitely eat there again when back in the area. The food was fabulous.

I visited The White House Grill on 9thJuly23. Had already studied the menu online before visiting it's of much help, trust me in this one. You'll find it difficult to choose from the wide variety menu! To begin with we ordered the (Meze) Sarmisak and Turkish cigars along with drinks President & Heidini. I really wanted to try the calamari but they were out by then already since it was 9pm and the restaurant shuts by 10pm. Heidini which is coconutty was top notch. We ordered Blackened salmon (salmon was just perfect) and the White House classic Turkish plate (rare lamb meat on a bed of delicious grainy flavorful rice along with grilled veggies) as the mains. Although I was warned it's rare meat but I wanted to try so it was okay for me but the rice was belissimo 🤌🏼 Salmon I could go on eating every single day! :) We had to wait for 20 minutes to secure a table. Also please try securing to dine out, especially on a breezy day. It's just totally worth it !

The White House is great restaurant with even better food! The salads, sandwiches, desserts, and appetizers are the best meals I've ever had from a restaurant. They cook the sea bass and lamb perfectly, and everything is excellent quality. The food is reasonably priced and the atmosphere is very kid and adult friendly. The waiters are all super nice, too. Overall, this is a wonderful place to eat.

Absolutely amazing! The service reminded me of HIMYM, I asked for the waiter to keep the water coming and he was ON TOP OF IT every time I'd get about half way, boom! There he was filling my tables cups up! The food was DELICIOUS! The garlic bread especially was phenomenal! The crust wasn't too crunchy and it was just the right amount of consistent flavor! The atmosphere was very fun and inviting for adults as well! Highly recommend!!!

The food here is sooo good. Definitely a must-visit spot in Coeur d'Alene if you're a garlic-lover. I had the sea bass, lamb, and prawns over garlic rice with garlic green beans and it was DELICIOUS. We also split the garlic dip and it was crazy good. Oh, and my lavender cocktail was fantastic. I highly, highly recommend this place. Service was good too, especially with it being such a busy Friday night. Reservations recommended.

The White House is a my colleagues and I's go to for lunch! Anytime we have a work lunch this is typically where we go. The food is delicious, the staff are fantastic, friendly and accommodating. Our go to appetizers are always, the fried feta (Amazing!), Turkish Cigars (so light and delicious) and the garlic bread (crunchy crust, soft middle and perfectly flavored). You cannot go wrong with, The Curry Chicken ravioli, lamb burger and Gyro! Those are just my top 3, however I'm not sure you could go wrong with anything off the menu. The food is always delicious 😋!!! We've taken a variety of people there and I've never heard anyone complain about what they ordered!
