The food served hot and delicious. They were less oily and cooked well. The falooda was delicious. It's a must try item here. The ambience is pretty good and family friendly. The behaviour of the staffs is polite and good. The foods were value for money.

Ambur Star biriyani outlet is nice place to have this famous biriyani. The outlet is near Vandaloor on Chennai Highway. The biriyani is served on palm leaf. Chicken and mutton biryanis are available. The chicken fries and other starters are also very delicious. Rates are reasonable. The service is also very nice. Parking space is limited. and the exit and entry to the highway is a bit difficult.

I want to mention about quick service of this place. Consistent Ambur biryani . Tandoori chicken taste needs improvement. Chicken Lollipop was charred. Overall recommended for the taste of biryani and quick service

The worst biryani spot around katankalathur. Their biryani was more of plain rice than plain rice will ever be, both chicken and mutton. We also ordered the special from the day 'Kozhi ghee roast', the Kozhi itself was missing, there were only bones, it costed 320 bucks. The only thing that was decent and appetizing was their bread ka mitthai.

Food is aamazing.. Their biriyani-top notch. Tye flavour is soooo good thay we come back for more. All of their dishes are tasty..eventhough their chicien was a bit overcooked..and its expensive too. Their ball grape juice is tasty too.

Worst service provided Even though the food tastes good, some people will spoil the reputation of the hotel. This Star briyani is the best example for that. Service provided is worst. Even in road side shop it will be better. Just we enquired mutton biriyani rate is fixed or not(it costs 300Rs). Because in online different rate was there. Got that one person in the bill counter asked us, "do you know how much 1 kg mutton will cost". Is this the way they treat their customers?. The attitude they showed is very worst as if they are providing free food. Better avoid this hotel because of the worst service provided. Actually I want to give minus rating but it is not available

Valet Parking available. Mutton biriyani was good.. too much of oil though... Mutton was tender and cooked very well... Arabian Grape juice is yummy... Zomato pro accepted.. complimentary star biriyani water bottles introduced recently.. chicken 65 tasted awesome..

Their biriyani is absolutely delicious however that alone can't justify them as a good restaurant. Their cleanliness is poor. Literally saw that running around in the dining area. Their other tandoori chicken dishes doesn't live up to their name. Quality is average, taste is not that great for a restaurant that boasts to have been around since 1980. I say you can try this only if you ran out of options or when you don't have a choice!

Biriyani is like white rice, Masala not fully mixed with rice, average taste only, 😜 Heavy oil in all kind of chilly items, Fish dishes are good but more oil, outside food or Home food are not allowed to take inside hotel... This is not fare i think 💬, Becoz we are 4 members, we order mutton biriyani, but our one man too aged, he's having is own home food, But Hotel Staffs says not allowed to eat home food here, I think this is not fare, Please Share your opinion friends, Love you all Cheers 💕

I had mutton briyani which was good enough for a single person. 3-4 pieces were there. The taste was good but they gave kesari as sweet that was not great. It is located on the main road, Recently a new road was laid hence we need to take the service road well in advance. However there is a space to park our vehicle.

Briyani taste is very good some days and not bad few days. I stay nearby and order food here regularly. Restaurant Size is small however ambience is reasonably better.

Today I bought 2 chicken biryani and seriously it's the worst biriyani I ever had in my life 💯 Didn't expected this much worst! Seems like the hotel bought some biriyani mixing powder and mix it with rice.. The only good thing about it was that they kept one leg pice. I don't lie about it. That was really cooked well, but it also it was not mingled with any masala. Why should I pay 210 rupees for this only one good leg piece? They just gave the leg piece with biriyani flavoured powder mixed rice and selling it. 😤 No egg too!!!!!! Two biriyani charge with container and tax is ₹454, which is absolutely not worth for their chicken biriyani. Biryani is more delicious in street side shops.

There is no negative rating so I am forced to give 1. Today at around 10 pm I got takeaway, two chicken 65 biryani. There was not a single piece of chicken in both the biryanis. I was charged 518 rupees for the biryani. I suggest star biryani to take action and assume the owner of this particular branch is struggling to make money, hence cheating people.

Ordered Pallipalayam Chicken through swiggy but they delivered ordinary chicken that too with very less quantity, not worth only small 5 pieces of chicken rest only coconut.

Better place to buy and eat at home. Wouldn't recommend to have a dine in as the place is too small, over crowded and mainly so much of flies.. 1000s will fly on the table and that's the most annoying part there

Worst experiment in this hotel. We reached here by 1 pm still there are telling no chicken 65 briyani or egg biryani is available. Its better if there take those dishes from the menu. The hospitality is very worst dude behaviour by the waiter. There are trying to pitch only for chicken and mutton briyani. Better avoid these shop

Worst biriyani in Chennai, Today I went to star biriyani hotel in potheri with my family, I ordered biriyani with fish fingers, I assume fish finger more then week, still they cooking and serving to the customer After eating fish finger continues vomiting and stomuch upset, don't prefer star biriyani if look for best biriyani in chennai

Attracts trendy and traditional crowd too. Mutton, Chicken, Fish, Prawn, Crab, Kaadai specials available. Brinjal gravy is so nice to have with briyani.

I started with starters, A piece of item with different tastes of recipe. That's why it is still famous here, Variety recipes and 5 star taste with fresh and quality. Once try butter naan with chichen or mutton curries 👍 and pleasant atmosphere 💯

Seeraga samba Biriyani is so flavourful. Mutton nalli and palliapalayam Chicken are my favorite. I recommend this restaurant.

Improved service and best briyani in and around guduvancherry. Place is usually crowded and the customer service is great. Mutton briyani is the best in the shop and egg pepper fry is good. Try out alfam chicken and other mutton side dishes. The interiors could be much better and the spcaing could have been much bigger. Poor parking facility and no shed for the bikes or card is a matter of concern in summer days.

Same taste that stands in your mouth for hours. There has been an overall increase in spiciness of Biriyani throughout all the branches nowadays. Not sure why! 🙁

Worst experience in this hotel... very poor customer service.... briyani quality and quantity is too low.. Better change the briyani name in to tomato rice.. Chicken lollipop is very poor.... chicken fried rice is like pepper rice... no egg in the briyani .... waste 1000rs lost...

Nice biryani made with seeraga samba rice. Ambience is good. A bit expensive but has value for it. Only restroom needs better maintenance.

Dining is always full over here, but we get place immediately bcos they do fast service. once ordered you get the food very fast. Taste ok VA irunthuchi. Highway la it's best quality.

Whenever I want to have Ambur style briyani, Star Briyani is my first choice. The meat in their briyani is soft and cooked well. The quantity of the briyani and the pieces are okay. Both could be more given the cost we pay for it. Sometimes gravies have too much oil. Chinese dishes are okay. I recommend to stick to South Indian side and main dishes apart from the briyani. I have also tried 65 combo box and you can see the items in the photo.

First I will explain about the ambiance, Dine area was fully covered by cooking smoke. Hotel has taken too much time to deliver the order. Quantity provided for starters is too low when compared to price quoted. Taste wise it's good, but the price charged should justify the quantity provided.

My first time experience in this shop.. Order 2 mutton biriyani.. Take and away.. Food very spicy.. Mutton like Raw.. Not mingle any masala. Simply worst experience. Not worthy for that money cost around Rs.600+Rs 49 for parcel and GST cost..

One of my favorite biriyani in chennai. Other dishes also tastes good. Service and ambience could be improved. A must try restaurant. They serve in banana leaf which I like very much. Location is very good. Opp. To zoho and srm college. It's along the GST road and has good parking space too. Must try - Mutton Biriyani, Alsham, egg pepper fry

Had been taken to me by a friend. Was absolutely stunned by taste and quality. It was too good especially the tamarind flavoured brinjal sabji It was a great combination . Also try the dessert drink of coconut milk sweet and it goes well after biryani.

People who like the Ambur/Vaniyambadi style briyani would love the food. Like all the umpteen branches in South India, this place is crowded during business hours. Service is somewhat lackluster nowadays. However, the place is spic and span. Ample parking space. The security guy was helpful guy, running around in the rain with an umbrella, keeping the guests away from rain.
