I have been going to this gym since I was 18 years old (back when it was called Bally Total Fitness). I am now 40 years old and I feel like they have not replaced the equipment since then!!! Out of the 20 treadmills only 6 are working. The rest either have a sign up stating "not in service" or just doesn't work properly. Out of the 3 stair machines only 1 works properly. The elliptical machines are mostly functional but have broken parts to it. It really disturbs me when a treadmill I am running on causes me to fall due to a piece of it breaking off. I am not injured but I can only imagine if an elderly person was on and could have been really hurt. Overall this is a gym that needs desperate maintenance!

Never the weights you need. Weights scattered all over gym because the lack of gym etiquette. Have to unrack others' weights because no gym etiquette. Plus staff just sitting around. I've had multiple elderly women ask me for help because staff won't. Some machines don't even have the pin to select the weight. Witness them letting people with no membership in to play basketball. So why am I paying for them?

Returning to this gym and it smells like brand new. More equipments, labels on weights and machines are readable, sanitized wipes instead of paper towel. And they have almost 10 stair-master, up from 3 two years ago. Glad to be back!

After driving 12 miles to the Franconia location where there is no lifeguard , and finding out that their pool heater is broke and the water is 72 degrees, I drove another 12 miles to the Woodbridge location to find that I can’t swim without a lifeguard. I cancelled my membership. None of this is on their website.

Recently signed back up again.sign up process was easy. I don’t understand why people say the sales people don’t tell you everything however everything you are signing up for is on the screen and you also receive an email confirmation. If you can’t read what you are signing up for don’t blame the staff, blame yourself for lack of comprehension when it’s all on the screen. You pay innitiation if anything’s first month and last month plus your annual fee two weeks or a month later. Some people don’t rerack weights, but the staff does a great job walking around cleaning the weights up. Dumbbells, at times, can be scattered when it gets busy, but it’s an easy fix, Just like any other gym Overall great gym, had plenty of machines and weights! Loved the staff very welcoming, and if you need spotters people are always willing to help you out.

Lots of equipment which is great and the staff is super nice as well as the trainers and the gym itself is very clean. however the equipment it very outdated falling apart torn or just completely out of service. Needs to be updated! Only 1 actual toilet, no bathrooms in the locker room only showers. Sauna is broke.

January 2024. Still no hot water in showers. Sauna is broken 😫 again. ☆☆ Dec 24, 2023. Still no hot water in men's showers. L.A. Fitness Woodbridge could be a great gym, but it lacks some upkeep. Half the cardio equipment is unusable. Many new pieces of cardio equipment brought in, and it's broken (within a few months). New equipment has no fans to help with air circulation. Poor. Many of the weight machines have missing incremental pins (for years). Locker rooms are not cleaned. Inside of lockers are filthy. Men's showers have NO HOT water. If you are a guy who showers before or after workout, you have to take cold showers. Guys complain constantly. On the bright side, this is a decent gym. The showers make a difference for many of us, and there are other choices nearby.

I just had to sign up. Equipment has been upgraded, 5 dead lift platforms, basketball court, turf area, 3 extra squat racks. Gym is huge. For the price and nationwide access what else do you need !!!

New renovations great. I hit the gym early in the morning and I like it. However, the people signing you up are like salesman. They lie through their teeth to get you in and signed up. I had two occasions I was lied to. First during initial sign up: I was told I will be refunded one person’s sign up fee after a month of sign up. I called several times and one person told me they never refunds and it was a false promise. Second I had my child signed up for kids area and I was told there is only a one time fee of $20 bucks and thats it. He never mentioned there is a month to month $10. I felt he intentionally suppressed that information. Be honest with your customers please. Also, why cannot a membership be cancelled electronically when I pay all my dues electronically? Isn’t it a form of scam? I realized it’s not just LA fitness. Most of them do the same

Today I was greeted and assisted by Kim and Josh! They were super helpful and kind in helping me with my childcare. Thank you for having such great customer service! I’ll always choose this location just because of their knowledge and compassion.

It can use a better love from its owner. Some equipment are rusted to the point of being unsafe. You can usually find equipment that is out of order or “scheduled for maintenance” - which never happens. This really impacts your timing and creates crowds around what is available.

Have been here over a year. From what it was before to what it is now, it is a night and day difference. Newer equipment, the addition of the the area. The deadlifting platforms all the new squat racks. Restrooms could use some updating but great improvement. The New management Kris, Yas and Josue are great as well.

Half of the equipment is broken, the basketball court is much worse than an out door one, the court has bubbles everywhere and only 1 hoop is useable the other one is completely broken. Very rude staff they just completely shut off the lights as soon as the gym closed didn’t even warn anyone that the gym was closing soon. My brother forgot his things because it was so dark when we were walking out. Highly over priced for what you actually get. Would not recommend

The water in hot tub is so dirty and so stinky. Need to replace water in hot tub at least twice a week.

Lately, I've noticed that the LA Fitness facilities in this area are not well-maintained. The showers are often out of order and the team room is not functional. When I brought these issues to the attention of the customer support and service team, they were not very helpful. They suggested that I cancel my membership if I had a problem with the conditions, or continue to use the facilities as is.

My wife joined and I will join this month. Friendly staff beautiful facility. Top of the line equipment and even a pool. We won't ever go back to the bargain price gym cause LA fitness is a great value.

The LA Fitness at Woodbridge does not provide service as expected, and it is getting worst by the day. One of the main reason people joining this facility is for service convenience. Sauna is broke down more than 3 month, SPA is not working properly, sometime is out of service. Even some of the shower is broken or don’t work properly. Soap is not be filled. Some of excessive machine is old and broken. In general, poor management and service provided at this facility. It could have been more customer if service improved, otherwise people may continue to drop their membership. Hope management try to improve the service and fix all the broken equipment and provide good service for paid customer.

Ok, so some of the equipment doesn’t work and needs attention, but they do address it. The one time I pointed it out the manager Zack quickly jumped to writing which ones down and getting a service ticket in. He’s also super friendly and he’s always got a smile (even when he’s running around). The people are AMAZING and that’s the reason we stay at this gym! The childcare was the initial reason we signed up (only 2 gyms offer it in our area) and Laura is the most caring, attentive childcare provider! My children know her by name and act up when she’s not working. I feel very comfortable leaving my children with her and relieved when I see she’s working! They probably don’t pay her enough and I know she manages more than the appropriate safe ratio of kids at times, but Thank God she’s there because she makes sure the kids are all safe (even when it’s crazy busy)! James is an angel! He’s the best physical trainer I’ve ever met! He genuinely cares about everyone at the gym and won’t let you hurt yourself! This is so critical because so many people don’t exercise correctly and he'll make sure you’re not going to get injured! In most gyms the physical trainers will walk right by you and if you’re not in a session they’ll let you hurt yourself if you’re exercising incorrectly. Because James won’t let you do that I feel good going to this gym and for the first time ever have thought about signing up for training because I know he will look out for me! The cleaning lady Maria is also incredible! I mean she always has a smile and I mean who does that while cleaning up after others? She’s got a huge area to cover and I’ve never seen her frown! Great team! Been going here for years and that’s really saying something because we’ve stayed here even when they had gross, old carpet. But now they have replaced the carpets (so much better) with nicer floors and installed newer equipment.
