I had a great walk from Blue Sky Ecological Reserve to Ramona Lake. The trail is wide, shaded, loved hearing the birds singing. There’s tables and benches to sit and enjoy your snacks. Lots of trash cans to place your waste. This area is well kept and nice. Going to Ramona Lake is uphill and no shade. I’m prepared with sunscreen, hat and lots of water to hydrate. Just me when I get there, so peaceful and lake is beautiful..

This trail is unique in a sense that it literally starts with green trees and shade. The only downside is parking, it’s very small but you can drive further west a block and get left into the traffic light and park in residential area. After you reach the top, you will feel relaxed as you see the water body, it’s fairly busy route. It’s literally a easy hike.

Took the trail to Lake Romona this time instead of Lake Poway. Both trails are nice and easy to traverse. You can see Lake Poway from Lake Romona.

I have always liked this hike because it is not strenuous. This is a great hike for a family with young kids. Whatch out for poision oak. If you stay on the trail you will be fine.

Very beautiful area. Very nice fire roads to walk on. Easy slope, gorgeous surroundings. Great for a walk or hike or just getting outdoors. Highly recommended. Enjoy!

Small hiking area in Poway. Really just has two main trails that I could see. One rhat goes to Poway Lake and one rhat goes to Ramona lake. Nicely maintained easy trails. The wildflowers were spectacular.

Beautiful scenery. The incline to reach the top seemed a little tough (once the incline starts, it goes all the way to the top). But it's definitely worth it. This is lake Ramona I believe.

POWAY LAKE Good average hiking and less crowded in the early morning. Amazing lake view and easy to do with kids.

Parking available when we arrived at 12:30PM on an early March Sunday. The trail to Lake Ramona is well maintained and an easy, wide trail; except the last 15 mins or so was a steep incline to the top. The trail is out and back, no loop. The beer garden is very inviting. We think we can sit there and talk for hours and hours. We have to go back for the Sunday fried chicken and nitro beer! Anxiously waiting..... Good view of Lake Poway and Lake Ramona at the top. Wild flowers are also blooming at this time of the year. Not much shade on this trail; however this early March Sunday was cool with temperature at mid 50s. Actually it was windy and cold at the top. It was a good hike if you have never been in n this trail. But I feel once is enough for me.

It's a nice hike. Especially in the morning. Don't come too late because of the parking. If u don't find something directly in the parking lot search in the neighborhood around.

Lake Poway's lot was full so we parked here and walked a big loop that covered the lake. Nice hike with trees, greens, and some flowers (thanks to the unusual amount of rain this year I guess). Lot closes at sunset.

Beautiful hike with shade alongside the creek which had a lot of water today! After the creek side it becomes non shaded trail so go early in the day as it can get pretty warm!

Oak Grove and Creekside Trail is a lovely option off the main trail. Look for sign on the left. It’s easy, no dogs, horses, vehicles etc.

Parking lot is very small and there is no where else to park. Trail is very nice and for the most part flat. At the end of the trail you can go up a hill to lake Ramona. The views are not great going up the hill. While climbing you hear a water plant and have to see it the whole time. at the very tail end of the climb it switches to asphalt and its very steep and not really worth the climb. The view of the lake is not worth the effort. Porta potty at the very top of the hill. This trail does connect to Lake Poway but it is not a short walk to Lake Poway. Great place to bring kids there are signs to read on the trail to teach about local animals.
