They charged an extra $25 onto our bill for “pulse”. you know the little thing they clip onto your finger to measure heart rate, well that’s an additional $25 on top of the office visit!!!! Absolutely outrageous! They also charge 3 times more than Ohiohealth offices. I called and asked to speak to account manager 3 times and never got a call back. They also wouldn’t let me meet with any of the pediatricians ahead of time to see if we were a good fit. we transferred care and during the first visit the doctor said vaccines had to be done on her schedule or she wouldn’t see us.

Powell Pediatric Care has done an outstanding job as our pediatrician since we moved to Ohio six years ago! Dr. Oosthaus was the first doctor to catch potential scoliosis in our daughter. Dr. Wilde has helped us through anxiety issues with our middle son and with some physical development issues with our youngest. The other doctors and nurses who have seen us on sick visits are just as conscientious, caring and compassionate. Our family trusts these doctors because they have proven to us that they give quality care! Check them out!

When I was pregnant with my son, we went looking at so many different pediatricians offices and each one was just okay. We chose Powell Pediatrics because they see patients in the hospital. They have someone on call 24/7. And they also have a close relationship with Childrens hospital. Every time I enter the office sometimes the front end ladies are extremely friendly and sometimes they just focus on getting you in and out. I have never had a bad experience with the front end. The doctors are amazing. When I first had my son, we struggled with breastfeeding and latching. The lactation consultant was so helpful. She not only took care of my son but me as well. I found out I had postpartum depression due to my anxiety. She helped me understand and I went and got help. When my son was on quarantine the doctors wrote me a note so I could return back to work. Since I am no longer breastfeeding I switched my son over to Dr Frank. He is great. I would definitely recommend this office to anyone who needs a pediatrician!

Just no unless you want a letter in the mail after one visit telling you they no longer want your business. Find someone else that doesn't make you feel less than human because life gets in the way especially with three kids and you can't do stuff on their schedule. This place is just a mess from the beginning. Told wrong time of first appointment, rescheduled but had to reschedule for a later time in the afternoon. Office staff isn't very nice when they call you also.

We've been seeing Dr. Pennywitt for a little over two years now and we love her. From new mom questions to serious allergy concerns she has patiently guided us through the first two years with our "Irish twins". I have never felt judged or unheard and she is always happy to explain her reasoning/ thought process behind any recommendation. The nurses have all been kind and efficient. Lisa can somehow still make my toddlers smile after shots. The front desk staff has been a bit of a revolving door but they are still kind and do a good job if you are patient and courteous with them. Overall we are very happy with our care here and we will continue to refer others to this practice.

I never do bad ratings on anyone. This is only the second bad review I have ever left in my life so obviously it’s a huge issue. I have not been a fan of this place since starting here 6 months ago when we first had my daughter but we had just moved to the area so didn’t really know anywhere else to go. The doctor is very rude and comes across super judgmental. My daughter had constipation issues for the first few months of her life where she would scream literally all day and night. I knew it was the formula and that it needed to be changed. Every time we would go in she would advise me on not changing formula yet because we couldn’t say for sure that this was causing it. She would act very condescending and like I was being an over the top mom. I final changed formula on my own with out her approval which fixed my baby’s problem overnight. I had three cancellation visits. Two because my kids were legitimately sick the day of the appointment and one because I had a very tragic death in my family. I got a very rude call from the receptionist saying that doctor Kelly will be releasing me from the practice because of how many visits I have missed if I did not call back right away to reschedule. No thank you! I will be going somewhere else. Absolutely no way to run any kind of business especially when dealing with children. I know a lot of people and will make sure everyone knows about my experience with this place.

We are incredibly impressed with Powell Pediatrics. We love Dr Pennywitt!! But honestly, we have seen almost all of the doctors at the practice and have always had a positive experience. They take great care of our daughter!

Accommodate for same day visits, very helpful communication through nurse’s line, intelligent and caring physicians. We have been patients for 10 years, highly recommend!
