What does Jan III Sobieski have to do wit... People often mention potato, museum, recommend,

Great place to visit. It is quite cheap (18/16PLN). Visits takes one hour and starts on each hour from 11am to 5pm. There are two parts of a visit. At first you get a potato and spices (sweat paprika, pepper, salt, and thyme). You put potato inside aluminum foil and add as much spices as you like. At the end of trip you will get baked potato. After preparing a potato main part of exhibition starts. You will move between multiple parts of the museum and hear stories told you by a guide. You will find out what is origin of the potato, some facts about local language related to potato. You will be told the history of South America, Europe, Poland, and Poznań which affected how potato is eaten today. Different topics which are discussed: agriculture and industrial methods, medicine, dishes made out of potato, and more.

(Translated by Google) The Pyra Museum is definitely a must-see place in Poznań. It promises to be innocent - because what can be said about pyra? ;) But during the visit, it turns out that you can - really a lot and very interesting. Where did they come from? How many are there? What does Jan III Sobieski have to do with them? What about the uprisings? Hundreds of questions. Thousands of answers;) And a review of "pyrite" dishes, allowing you to appreciate the versatility of the potato. AND! And a souvenir at the end! Revelation! Tysiące odpowiedzi ;) I przegląd „pyrowych” dań, pozwalający docenić uniwersalność ziemniaczka. A! I jeszcze pamiątka na zakończenie! Rewelacja!

Very interesting exhibition and interactive tour at this museum. It will be enjoyable for any person, adults and kids. You need to book tour in advance, and it costs 25 PLN. It starts from cooking our own pyry (potato), then guided tour with amazing stories near each exhibition, and in the end you will taste your cooked pyry. Also they give discount to Pyra bar. Highly recommend!

(Translated by Google) In millions of homes in Poland, this noble vegetable has been eaten more than once. Potato pancakes, fries, baked, fried, boiled, with dill or gzik. But do you know where our "gold" came from? If you don't visit this place! And even if you know where the pyres came from, find this museum anyway! Brilliantly conducted by a man with passion and vast historical knowledge, not only about Pyrz itself or Poznań, but also about the history of Poland and the dawn. I highly recommend it, as I got the hot potato together with the knowledge and great fun from this place! I RECOMMEND! POLECAM!

A small museum dedicated to the potato. History and fun facts are presented. Plus you get to season a baked potato and take it with you to eat later

Open from 10-5... except it was closed. We phoned and were told rather abruptly "We have something in Polish at 4 but you would not understand anything."

This museum is not opened as per opening hours listen on the website. No idea how to get in if you arrive at 10 am and no one answers the doors nor the phone listed as the contact number.

Never would have thought that potato is such a versitile and rich vegetable. The experience in the museum was not only great entertainment but also informative. And you get your own custom potato at the end. Well worth the money and time. All hail King Potato!

Great for potato lovers! You will get potato at the start, with some spices and salt and it's baked for you while you're on potato tour. Guide was great and we learnt quite a lot. And at the finish: you get baked potato! Just in time, because we were ( especially me ) quite hungry. Highly recommend

Was there yesterday but the door was locked and it was deserted. A museum that states to be open but is not.

Ciekawe Muzeum. Fest pomysł na tematykę związaną z Poznaniem i Wielkopolską. Toruń ma Muzeum Piernika, Lublin Cebularza a Poznań Ziemniaka (albo Rogala). Właściciel Pan Marcin to istny pasjonat.
