The glory days of this hotel are long gone. Very long. Like 50 years gone. The hotel has the same vibe as a great-grandma's house. Everything looks very worn-out. Rooms are noisy - you can hear the noise from both inside and outside. There was no fridge. The window haven't been cleaned in a while. The parking is expensive as other reviews mention but you can find the price on their web beforehand. Breakfast was nice. No way this hotel is 4* as they claim. Definitely not worth the money. I wouldn't be surprised if most the positive reviews here were fake. They even have the audacity to put an ad on side of the hotel where they offer a course on how to be a hotel owner.

2 stars is probably more than it deserves to be honest. For a 4star hotel, it was extremely lacking. Let's star with the good things. Clean rooms, and it's next to tram and metro station. Onto the wide variety of negatives. We found a worm, a live worm, in the bread while eating breakfast. Internet was extremely slow and nothing ever works. Maybe it's because we were on the 9th floor but it's still unacceptable. Had to pay 30+ euros for data because it was just that bad.

Pros: staff is super friendly and ready to help, rooms are super clean and their room cleaning service is also good, you come back to a well cleaned room. Breakfast is good and the food was never messy or old looking. Room heating is good. Very close to public transportation, supermarket and pharmacy. Bathroom amenities (shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer...) Are good. Mild inconvenient: gym. I put photos here. Equipments should be maintained, they are not even properly aligned. It's small and old even for a hotel gym. Cons: pillows and bed are not comfortable. Even cheaper hotels are providing rooms with more than one type of pillow, so you can use one that suits you.

A wonderful hotel with comfortable beds and nice views of Prague. The rooms are spacious, and the complimentary bottles of wine are a pleasant touch. The bar and the entire hotel are stylishly decorated. P.S. One note: I accidentally left my NHL t-shirt beside the TV in the junior suite and checked out. Somehow, the staff never found the shirt :)

Second visit, first in 2017, now in 2022. Improved tremendously in service, cleanliness. My room was around 30m2 including a coffee/tea machine, complementary bottle of wine and daily cleaning and fresh towel. Would definitely recommend both as a business hotel as for leisure since a subway entrance is right next to it and will get you to the city centre in about 8-10 minutes. Includes parking beneath the hotel.

Hotel Don Giovanni is a luxury experience! Service was incredible, the lobby is breathtaking and the restaurant is fine dining! We had a wonderful experience, with complimentary chocolates and wine on arrival. We were four adults in a family room so it was actually very good value for the weekend. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. Perhaps the AC could have been a little more powerful but we went in extremely high heat so can forgive that! We were on the 10th floor so rooms were v quiet and didn't hear other guests of the road or anything. It is a metro ride away from the centre but that is very easy and cheap so shouldn't discourage anyone staying!

The hotel is very big and luxurious. Our room was really big and comfortable. The breakfast was very well served and amazing (we just missed a fruit salad to make it easier to eat, but there are plenty of fruits available). We weren't able to go to the gym or any of the restaurants, but all of them looked pretty great. The restaurant on the entrance lobby was fancy with nice music. The location is a little bit away from the touristic attractions, but right in front of a metro station and a tram stop.

The location was excellent, the hotel is only 2min from the metro station. The city center is only 10min by metro. The hotel is so clean and smells so wonderful! We arrived at 10:30 pm, and the receptionist was very friendly and helpful. The room was really good, clean, comfortable, and quiet, there were two bottles of water and a bottle of wine complimentary, and the view from the room was so nice. The breakfast was good, a basic breakfast with a wide variety of cheese! The staff was friendly! We had an amazing experience in the spa, we had a traditional Thai massage, it was the best massage I’ve ever had! Definitely, it was a really good experience and we’ll be back soon! Thank you for all, everything was perfect!

I had an amazing stay. No hotel has staff like Alberto. He was very friendly, funny and helpful. Breakfast is delicious with so much to choose from. I loved the pancakes, which were freshly made 😋 in front of you. Our room was huge with a beautiful bathroom. I would definitely go back again.

Overall, I had a pleasant stay at the hotel. The service provided by the staff was excellent, and I particularly enjoyed the breakfast. However, there were a few issues that need to be addressed. Firstly, the elevator system needs improvement. There were times when my companions and I had to wait for prolonged periods despite there being four lifts available. Secondly, the corridor on our floor had a strange odor, which was not pleasant. Despite these concerns, I still had a positive experience at the hotel, and I appreciate the excellent service provided by the staff.

We arrived at the hotel and the charisma was very wholesome. To the personal at the reception we give a very big plus. It was super friendly, comfortable and able to give attention plus speak many languages. Then we check in to the room, It had the absence because of the air conditioner. We turn it to the lowest and it doesn’t work good, it doesn’t make a different . I had to give one star deduction for the personal at the Amadeus bar. It was a little bit slow and I missed one cocktail , but the price was the best. We enjoy it so much. If I could to some recommend: I would prefer a roof area that be open 24 hours to smoke ! The breakfast was good BUT I would prefer if they offer the first class breakfast, they didn’t tell us. But for all we was satisfied and we would come back. Thanks for the service.

Nice hotel, with good accommodation and breakfast. It has great location next to the metro station (line A) which can take you directly to the city center and most attractions, recommended if you getting to Prague by car. It has parking (paid). The only inconvenience I found there are lifts, there are only four of them for 14 levels. So in rush our I've waited 10 minutes to get from the last floor to the car park.

I had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Don Giovanni Prague for one night, and I must say it was a delightful experience. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted by a warm and friendly staff who made me feel right at home. The hotel itself boasts a stylish and modern design, with comfortable and well-appointed rooms. My room was spacious, clean, and thoughtfully furnished, providing a cozy retreat after a long day of exploring the city. The bed was exceptionally comfortable, ensuring a restful night's sleep. One of the highlights of my stay was the hotel's excellent amenities. The breakfast buffet was a delicious spread of both local and international dishes, offering something to suit every palate. The fitness center and spa facilities were top-notch, providing the perfect opportunity to relax and rejuvenate. The location of Hotel Don Giovanni Prague is also worth mentioning. It is conveniently situated near public transportation, allowing easy access to the city's main attractions. Additionally, the hotel's proximity to shopping areas and restaurants made it a convenient base for exploring the vibrant city of Prague. Overall, my experience at Hotel Don Giovanni Prague was excellent. The attentive service, comfortable accommodations, and convenient location made it a memorable stay. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Prague and looking for a comfortable and enjoyable stay

Nice hotel with all the amenities anyone wants. Specially when they play live piano everyday, it gives such a positive feeling. The staffs are very helpful & welcoming. I wish they had more food ( specially vegetarian or Vegan) options in the Executive Lounge.

The hotel is stunning, staff very friendly and helpful, and the concierge were outstanding- especially Alberto, he made out stay fantastic. 5 minute Merto ride (2 minutes walk away from hotel) right into the centre of the old town. Will definitely be back.

Our stay was very pleasant thanks to the hospitable personell, especially the welcoming concierge Alberto who didn't hesitate to show us around and help us in any way he could. Alberto, if you're reading this, you're the best. Also the friendly receptionist we has a chat with at the spa on the top floor gave us a whole list of recommendations for spots to visit in Prague. At the hotel reception, prolonging our stay for an additional day was very uncomplicated and they even made it possible for us to stay in the same room, which btw. was quiet, clean and spacious.

Long wait for the elevators clean towels requested, but didn't get them Air conditioning didn't work very well Buffet Restaurant was chaotic. On arrival, we booked breakfast for every day but was told we had to go back to reception on the first morning and book it daily, another long wait for the elevators, screaming children in the Restaurant first thing in the morning was not the best way to start my day On one evening meal the Chair my teenage son sat in collapsed under him, and he ended up on the floor luckily not seriously hurt but feeling humiliated, especially when one of the hotel staff found it funny. as a gesture of goodwill was told we would not have to pay for the meal that evening but still charged £2.85 for his soft drink All in all, the stay was dreadful. I definitely wouldn't go back there

This hotel I want to love because it has every facility that would make it great. Stayed in a premium room but really didn't feel premium. No sofa, internet so slow pages refused to load, snappy check-in staff. I've stayed here 3 tones over 2 years and it has certainly gone downhill in the last 12 months. Unfortunately my last stay.

Hotel is a bit outside city but has a metro line right outside so not an issue to get to city or to airport. It is a beautiful hotel and staff are great. Special mention to Alberto who gave us great tips on how to navigate around Prague and was a really nice person to chat too. Rooms were clean and comfortable and we had access to executive lounge where there was views over the city. Highly recommended

Room is on the old side especially with the fridge and tv but great location, literally a 4 stations right to old town. Not the greatest but a solid morning buffet. The pool table is nice but the equipment could use some maintenance

This hotel is a 4-star hotel, but it is potentially 5-star. We stayed there for 5 days, and it was the greatest experience I could ever have. I have been traveling a lot in the EU and stayed in many hotels but this one was different from other hotels. First, I should say that the building itself and the art frames and decoration in the lobby are fantastic. The staff is very hospitable and charming with non-disappearing smiles all day long. This hotel has a dedicated buffet for toddlers and kids with various healthy options for breakfast and for dinner. The dining area has a corner for toddlers with some toys. It has a creche for kids as well with well-trained staff. I tried it for my baby. she spent 2 hours there and I was monitoring her while she was playing with them, it was fantastic, and she enjoyed it a lot. For people who care about hygiene, at the entrance of the toddler room you must take off your shoes, you can ask for hotel slippers if you want. Upon our arrival, the staff gave us a package for my baby for painting, toys, and balloons. Every day at the breakfast table there was a bunch of balloons for kids to take with their breakfast. The rooms were clean, and bright, without any dust or web, the daylight makes the room bright enough although there are plenty of lamps in each corner. The quality of the breakfast was fantastic, it had various healthy fresh options of vegetables, fruits, pastries, and cookies, gluten-free, and lactose-free. The dinner was also served from 7 pm to 10 pm and again it was an open buffet where you could have various options for fish, poultry, meat, soup, vegetables, and salads, at least 5 types of fruits, and 7 types of pastries and desserts. The quality of the dinner and the taste of it was great. I tried it one night and it was as great as I did not want to go out in the city to try something else, so we had dinner in the hotel during our stay. In the lobby, there is a lovely white piano that an artist plays every day in the morning and every evening so you can enjoy a cup of coffee or drink at the bar and listen to the classic music. On each floor, there are lots of large photo frames of the Amadeus movies (which got the 8th Oscar) which is nice and mysterious. The hotel has a gym, Spa, sauna, and jacuzzi. I tried the massage there and again to me it was very good in comparison to the spa I had tried in Dublin.

The best part of staying was access to business lounge while waiting for for the room. I could easily work from there and enjoy the panoramic sunroof. Underground parking very very very narrow, especially if you drive bigger car but no scratches:).

We experienced a clean hotel with helpful staff and great breakfasts. Our room was spacious. The only down side was the shower. Many other rooms have self-contained shower stalls but room 434 has a high sided tub with a short glass wall that doesn't keep the floor from getting wet. The tub was very slippery and, although I normally have good balance, I fell getting out of the shower/tub. They gave us a bunch of towels to try to remedy the situation.

Very stylish hotel with piano bar, great restaurants and a spa. Rooms were very comfortable. Service was friendly and efficient. It's a little way from the centre, but only 5 stops on the tube, just outside the front door.

We visited the hotel as a couple and found out that there were 4-single beds in our room compared to 2-single beds / 1-large bed. I won’t consider it as a problem but the space could have been utilized better instead of providing something which is not needed. We travelled with car and had no problem in terms of parking. The hotel has sufficient parking underground and also, some close to the entrance. There are multiple restaurants in the hotel and we had our daily breakfast in the restaurant located on the first floor. Everything was perfect when it comes to breakfast and service. The hotel is situated with easy accessibility to public transport. There is also a wellness center on the top floor but we didn’t have time to enjoy the luxurious other than Thai-massages which is quite authentic.

My family and I had an excellent one-night stay at Hotel Don Giovanni in Prague. The service was truly top-notch, with the staff being friendly and attentive to our needs. The experience overall was fantastic, and the convenience of having parking right under the hotel was a great bonus. We highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Prague! We super recommend this place! Oh! And the breakfast ❣️ It's amazing 🤩

Beautiful hotel with friendly staff and a large garage underneath. Great breakfast, nice rooms with a good bathroom. Lifts are a bit on the slow side but that's the only downside to the entire hotel which is pretty minor.

  • 5/5 Julia M. 6 months ago on Google
The hotel has a great location. The metro is 1 minute away and you get to the most important attractions very quick. The rooms are always very tidy and spacious. The staff is always very helpful. We visited the Don Giovanni 6 times already and will continue to book this hotel when visiting Prague.

Could not fault this hotel at all. Quite possibly the best hotel i’ve stayed in. Location perfect as right next to the metro station and lidls. Staff were so incredibly helpful and polite, particularly Alberto. He made our stay 100x better with his jokes and very helpful advice; me and my friend were on our first holiday without parents and he made us feel a lot safer. The breakfast was also 10/10 could not fault at all so much choice with a great time frame. Will definitely be recommending to friends and hopefully will be back soon!!

The hotel itself was really nice, the food good, staff very friendly, but the elevator situation really sucked. The first day, 3 out of 4 elevators were working, the second and third day only 2 elevators were working. Thw hotel was really busy on the weekend, and we were waiting for an elevator for at least 10 minutes and it did not stop at the third floor. We ended up walking downstairs every single time, even with our luggage when we were leaving. Other than that it was 👍

We stayed for 5 nights, and the hotel staff from the minute we walked were polite and very helpful, getting our room ready early and even giving useful directions and recommendations. The hotel is clean and has a touch of class, the foyer was beautiful. Rooms were spacious and kept extremely clean. The iron room I've personally not experienced before was such a useful touch. The spa was clean, tranquil and again staff were great. The massage and masseuses were very skilled and made sure we were relaxed through. Last but not least and my favourite part was the breakfast. 5/5, varied, tasty, and plentiful. Everything you want from a top quality breakfast, I'd happily stay again.

Our accommodation in this hotel was excellent. First of all, they upgraded our room from standard to executive at our check in and gave us a bottle of wine as a gift. Also, in our room there was a panettone and two bottles of water for free (the bottles were replaced daily), which was very impressive. The breakfast was very delicious and satisfying. Finally, I would like to say that is normal to exist bad reviews from a lot of people and for different reasons(very helpful), which made me very confused when I read them, but after my experience I see that anything wasn’t true for me. So I strongly recommend this hotel !!!!

We stayed at the hotel for 3 weeks. 3 weeks is a long time to stay at a hotel and I feel that we really got to see what it was like. We were so disappointed that on our return trip to Prague, we booked at a different hotel. For the daily grievances, the pros did not out weigh the cons and we were very disappointed. We plan on travelling to Prague several times over the next year and we will sadly not be staying at this hotel again. We would not recommend it to anyone. Cons: - Half the staff were very rude - The lobby would often smell like a toilet when you first entered - Found flies in the food. After being scoffed at and complaining to the manager, we received an apology and the problem was fixed - For a hotel that is a classical music themed hotel, we never heard any classical music played other than in the lift - This may seem petty but they have one toaster that can toast 2 slices of bread at one time. After 5 minutes of waiting, the toast still would not toast. I got to watch peoples reaction over the 3 weeks which was very humorous 😂 - The lifts are terrible. If you were not on an executive floor, the lift could sometimes take over 10 minutes to stop at your floor. I have never seen another hotel that has this system. - If you have a plate with something on it that you still want, make sure you protect that plate. Several times, staff would pop out from nowhere and would take plates off the tables that had food on them. When eating at the bar, a waiter reached over us to remove our glasses and as we picked up the last slice of pizza, they too took that before we decided we were finished. At breakfast, I had just sat down and a waitress appeared and tried to take a full plate of food which I quickly moved out of her reach 😂 Pros: - Looks very clean and grand as you enter - Breakfast was decent - The room was clean and well maintained - You couldn't ask for better access to trams, trains and buses - Comfy bed - Spotless bathroom - Pianists and musicians were very good - Spa is lovely

Hotel was clean and quite comfortable, their spa with massage was perfect, they also have a luggage room to store bags until check in. The staff was friendly and helpful. Tram right outside along with a grocery store and a shopping mall just a few stops away. We truly enjoyed our entire stay here.

For a 4* hotel some furniture looks pretty old. Bar close pretty soon.Staff was polite, room was clean.Breakfast was extraordinary with many different choices to eat. Better to go to eat as soon is possible because after 8 am it's little bit too crowded. Atmosphere even better thanks to great pianists at the reception.

Be careful when using in-room items such as brush, shaver are also charged. I have stayed in many 4 star hotels and this never happened, but with Don Giovanni Prague it is real. I paid for the hotel in full with Booking.com (where I booked the room). But Hotel Don Giovanni once again automatically charged my Master card. I complained to Booking.com and Hotel Don Giovanni but the hotel side rejected my complaint. My bank statement clearly states that I have paid twice (1 time with Booking.com & 1 time with Hotels). But so far 6 weeks have passed and I still have to wait, no response from the hotel sent to me. You should consider when coming to stay here because it will most likely be double the price and bring frustration 😡

Where to start. This hotel is a one big let down. The best thing about this hotel is the main hall and that's it. The worst thing was the incredible unstoppable noise in the room coming out of the hole in the wall. It was like you would have a hoover on all night and all day long. Cleanliness is also debatable. And the disorganized housekeeping is highly annoying. This hotel is not a 4 start and I can definitely say I'll never stay there ever again.

We we’re six people going to a party trip in Prague, we booked one of the cheapest hotels we could find and ended up here. It was one of the nicest hotels I’ve been at. Amazing service, great rooms, great breakfast. Really fast to take the tram or subway to old town. Would recommend, only negative it that the halls smelled to much of cologne.

A very good hotel to stay in Prague. The room was clean, spacious and silent. The view from the Lounge bar is amazing. Breakfast buffet absolutely great, wide selection of pastry, fruit, vegetables, eggs, sausages, etc., everything delicious, tasty coffee. Nice staff.

A very good hotel to stay in Prague. The room was clean, spacious and silent. The view from the Lounge bar is amazing. Breakfast buffet absolutely great, wide selection of pastry, fruit, vegetables, eggs, sausages, etc., everything delicious, tasty coffee. Nice staff. The only thing that can be improved is the shower door - they cannot be closed tightly so the water runs into the bathroom. It's better to use the bathtub for showering. And probably because of the number of guests in the hotel, we had to wait quite long time for the elevators to arrive to the ground floor - then we rather used the stairs (to the 9th floor)... maybe this could be better adjusted - my opinion. But it's nothing serious. Overall score - 90/100

Had short, but very pleasant stay. Hotel close to metro where you can get to centre in less than 15 min. Hotel overall very stylish, really delicious breakfast - lots of to choose from. Rooms clean&cosy. Quick check in&out, friendly personnel. Special thanks to Petra at reception, she is extremely nice and helpful. She is an asset to don giovani team. Definitely will be back next time when in Prague !

Big room and had everything you need. Kettle, tea and coffee stuff. Breakfast was excellent, with loads to choose from. One of the best breakfast choices you'll ever have. There was something for everyone. We recommend buying your ticket from the airport and you should receive a ticket for both the bus and metro. The metro is literally on the hotel's doorstep. Perfect. Then it's just a easy to buy a 24hr 36hr etc ticket for all your travelling to and from the main town of Prague. DO NOT forget to check that your ticket has been time stamped in the yellow ticket boxes dotted everywhere. We did the stamping but didn't check that the printer was working properly. We were inspected by metro staff who knew we had just come off a plane. No printed stamp on the ticket meant it cost us £34 each. Apart from that, the trip, the metro etc was superb.

Nice location, just a few steps from the metro station. Fair selection of food during breakfast. Worth of price. But very tired rooms. Soft bed, not so comfy. Only one pillow. Old fashion small TV, but good choice of international channels. The hotel staff provide good service.

Our room was dirty (we found hair on the bed and a screw and a pair of earrings on the floor!). When we asked the receptionist to be moved to another room we had to wait 20 minutes before the housekeeper and "Martin" arrived, but they didn't even apologize! We were given another room bit the toilet seat was loose and none fixed it even if we requested! The cocktails and the breakfast were really nice though. I think the customer care and the cleanliness should be improved otherwise you will lose a lot of customers 😔

Good location next to the underground and trams. Hotel is clean and quite, staff are friendly. Rooms are spacious a bit oldish but everything is there: mini fridge, safe box but TV is very small. Bathroom has shower not a bath tub. Enjoy

This was our second stay at Don Giovanni this year. And definitely not the last. It's not an architectural delight but I can't fault the cleanliness and the staff! Everyone is so welcoming and polite from receptionists, bar staff, people serving breakfast or housekeeping. Top marks! Thank you for our brilliant stay again. We had two joining rooms this time which were very spacious and well equipped.

Hotel looks great.. but rooms are not up to date, old and broken refrigerator, room need painting and new funeture. Could need a restoring. Parking must be paid in reception to a higher price. Then you have to pay 50 euro or give your cc info .. as security for the minibar. The good service was the free bottle of wine when we arrived. Best of all is the breakfast buffet. Even it's 13 € .. it's word to try out.

It was a really good hotel to stay in. The hotelroom was really nice and clean! The room gets cleaned every day. Breakfast was also really good, everything was organized and planned perfectly. There was also a little shop and it was really cute. There was also a piano that was getting played everyday and it sounded really amazing. The employees were also really friendly. I highly recommend this place to go to. Me and my family will absolutely go to this hotel again!

Loved it, but the first room we got had a view on the graveyard which was not great, but we asked for another room and the staff were very helpful. The view on the city in the second room was wonderful, the restaurant was amazing, we had the best breakfast ever!!! Would recommend! 😁

Nice hotel. Looks very nice from the outside. The lobby is impressive too. But.. room was just average. Sure there are better ones, I booked in last minute with a discount. For my price good stay, but too expensive for a regular price. Why only 3 stars? There are 2 restaurants. One offers just pizza and sandwiches (you can order on into your room) the other offer buffet. Nothing in-between. Breakfast was good, but why the serve the cheapest chemical juice? Parking is for extra fee (new that) but also the spa. This was a surprise (400 CZK/2 hrs). I don't know. I feel tricked. Not bad in general, but no way for over 100€.

Lovely hotel, had a great stay here. Affordable, spacious rooms, and has a luxury feel. Clean rooms and great housekeeping. Definitely recommend the breakfast, it’s outstanding. Dinner buffet is less spectacular but offers veg/fish options too. Location is more remote, but the metro right next to it takes you anywhere in a couple of minutes.
