We stayed here for 2 nights and had a wonderful experience. They staff and hospitality was wonderful and very attentive. They provided welcome drinks, a welcome fruit basket and plenty of assistance on how to get around and what to see. They are very well located to public transportation. We did take advantage of their garage parking since it was convenient and safe. Note that the entrance to the indoor parking is VERY NARROW and is not for the faint hearted. Breakfast was included and it was very delicious. Aside from the usual buffet, they offered chef specials like French toast, porridge (oatmeal), omelets, etc.we also had dinner here one night and their risotto and chocolate cake was very yummy. We travelled with our 17 mon son and they provided a comfortable baby cot (travel crib/ play yard). They also offer free babysitting even though we did not use it. Their room and bathroom were very comfortable and good size. We stayed in a junior suite and had a king size bed (in addition to crib). Bed is very comfortable and we slept well. Overall, I highly recommend the hotel to anyone and my family and I would stay here again.

I booked a room on booking.com, the hotel had sent me a confirmation by email and after that they said that they made a mistake regarding the price and if I want to keep the booking, I have to pay more. That is a hostel practice and is unacceptable from a 5 star hotel. Beside that they will charge you 20 euro for a day if you want to park the car and you need a 200 euro deposit. Pay attention if you want to stay here!

I am going to Prague not the first time but for the first time I was in hotel General and I want to say that it was perfect experience. I would like to tell that the staff was really nice, pleasant, I had some problems with my internet, and the guy on reception helped me without any problems. The atmosphere as well very cool, you can feel in one time old Prague style and coziness, cool breakfast with good variety of food. The room was pretty nice, all clean and very comfortable. For sure I will come back and I can recommen the hotel for 100%

The General Old Town Prague hotel, where I stayed, won my heart. I absolutely loved my room, it was very spacious, clean and well equipped with an unreal Prague atmosphere. The staff was polite and kind. The hotel is located in the center of Prague, which was very important to me. I liked the breakfast, everything was tasty and at the highest level, there was a variety of dishes, which pleasantly surprised me. I recommend this hotel to everyone and I will definitely return to it again.

A great place to stay while exploring Prague. The suites are really nice and are themed after different Generals. Staff are very helpful and do all they can to make your stay as good as it can get. Breakfast is amazing, and you get fresh coffee straight from the baristas hands. Parking inside the courtyard can be tricky for really big vehicles. I'm coming back to this hotel.

Sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal. Leider war unser Zimmer noch mit Ameisen belegt und mit nicht funktionierenden Lichtschaltern ausgestattet.

The worst view ever qnd they sammen me and my friends to pay for gold bare which where never in the room in the first place

They decided to try and fix a hole in the wall by using clear tape to hide it, the room we got wasnt properly cleaned and the staff reacted to everything with trying to hand us alcohol.

All in all perfect. Airconditioned rooms, beautifully organised and super nice service. The breakfast was a bit expensive so we did not include it but was amazing! Great price for what it was.

I have cancelled my stay at this hotel as I found out, I'm obliged to pay 200€ deposit in cash upon my arrival !!!!!!! I explained the hotel staff that this is seen as a nonsense by me, however I did not succeed to persuade the representative to stop requiring this payment from me. I am not a criminal with a hazardous behaviour to take such strict precausions against me. Although the lady on the phone was polite and constructive, I could not accept their deposit policy and I booked another lovely hotel named Art Nouveau in the Prague's historical city centre and had no hassle or whatsoever. Avoid Hotel General in Prague.

Location is good, though a bit of a walk to old town. Building, room and restaurant were all Good and the "historical generals" theme throughout the hotel is a nice touch, which I have seen in a few hotels now. What was excellent on the other hand was the amazing staff at this hotel. Helpful, friendly and just genuinely good people.

Quaint hotel, a little bit dated. But, lovely staff super clean, nice food and very reasonably priced. I would definitely go there again. Get the day pass for the trams/metro, you can buy these from reception they cost about £3.50 or € 4.00, and the numbers on the map show which trams go down the streets.

The hotel is cosy with a nice hint of classy. The staff is very friendly. The room I got was pretty and clean. A bit smaller, but well equipped. The price for the room was unusually low for the services they offer. The restaurant at the hotel is cosy and serves breakfast in the morning. I did not find any shades or blinds on the windows which together with the shower-bath combination were the only things I found to be a dissadvantage about this place. The lobby has a few stairs before you reach the elevator and the vegetarian meals for the room service are very limited.

This hotel is excellent. It is located away from the mobs of Prague tourists (like us) yet conveniently near to tram and Metro lines. The staff was fluent in English (and you will appreciate that in Prague) and did everything possible to make us comfortable and relaxed. You can buy tram/bus/Metro tickets from them, they can tell you where to buy wine or aspirins, etc. The small restaurant at the hotel, Viva Victoria, is outstanding. It does not seem to be be much frequented, and I don't know why, but do not be discouraged if you are the only diners. Our room was large, comfortable, quiet, and well stocked with amenities. I highly recommend this hotel for your visit to Prague.

Loved everything about this hotel. The staff are absolutely the best, very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a regal touch to it with each room themed on different generals over the the centuries. The location is perfect with breweries and restaurants surrounding the area and lots of Prague attractions within walking distance. The owner is into hunting, so the wall hangings were a little unnerving. But a very small detail which depends on personal taste. Highly recommend this place at least for a 1-2 night stay.

Nice and rustic hotel. Very good to reach by tram (station Andel ~7 min walking). Special thanks to Martin, who absolutely knows his job. From arriving to leaving the customer service was really excellent!! Due to Corona, there was almost no one there, but if you plan to travel I can highly recommend this hotel. The breakfast was super good as well and delivered to the room. For my taste the mattress was a bit too hard. I hope the bookings will increase again! All the best for the whole team!
