One of the most beautiful buildings in Prague. Its history and architecture are wonderful. For various events, in the box offices right inside the building , tickets can be obtained. There is a restaurant downstairs.

The Municipal House is a stunning, early 20th century built, art deco themed (predominantly) concert hall with additional rooms. We booked on the tour and were not disappointed. The tour guide spoke entirely in English, provided extensive knowledge of the whole facility and information about all the rooms, including the designers, artists and materials used. The building is used regularly and hosts concerts often. The ground floor restaurant is good with indoor/outdoor seating, although it has a limited choice of hot meals although they do creme teas (using crème fraîche). There is also a basement restaurant but we didn’t enter it. Definitely worth a visit - the ticket fee is reasonable.

We went here on a whim to try a 3 course set meal that sounded great. It wasn't a let down that's for sure very nice atmosphere and 5 star service. The main was inedablie due to the way the fish was cooked. This was corrected for us but everything else was worth it. The main attraction for is was the design and layout of the building. This place although more pricey than what you usually get would make a nice dinner spot or date night.

Obecní Dům, or the Municipal House, is a cultural jewel in Prague. The Art Nouveau architecture is a visual feast, adorned with intricate details and ornate designs. The interior is equally impressive, housing exquisite concert halls and event spaces. Attending a performance or exploring the various halls is a journey through elegance and history. The Smetana Hall, in particular, is a grand venue with exceptional acoustics. The attention to artistic detail, from stained glass to sculptures, adds a touch of opulence. Whether for a concert, exhibition, or simply to admire the architecture, Obecní Dům stands as a testament to Prague's cultural richness.

Alright, the place and concerts are super impressive. However, if they have a very small audience, maybe they could have sold the tickets from a lower price or at least inform people about if they have student discount or not. Also there was no one to escort you to your seat, which means some people could easily “upgrade” their seats during the concert. Other than that the building is stunning, happy to be there.

The Municipal House was awesome. The hall is quite big. The concert today was still really good even from the basic seats (cheapest and furthest seats). The musicians were also really talented and I'd recommend visiting it👍

It is a historical and nice place. We had our gala dinner. Foods and drinks were good. I also liked the service as well. When you go to Prague, you should see here.

Definitely one to visit while in Prague! What an absolutely beautiful building, both inside and outside. We visited the cafe side and it was such a luxury at a very reasonable price. The atmosphere is lovely, and had we had more time we would have loved to return to the restaurant also. Very helpful and attentive staff in the cafe - definitely not one to be missed!

(Translated by Google) It was a house of Czechs, therefore a municipal one. Famous for many promises (loyalty), Czechoslovakia was also declared here (1918), today mostly a meeting place of various (rather business) kind. Standard of services at a high level. Smetana Concert Hall a hall with one of the best acoustics in Prague. A place maintained and bred - only times have changed. Those who draw from the work of Mucha, which is majestically hidden, albeit generally known, must already impress him with spirit and greater energy. House at the beginning of the tuv. the royal journey should be an honor to the nation, but it must regain its cause. (Original) Byl to dům Čechů, proto i obecní. Proslulý mnoha sliby (věrnosti), vyhlášeno zde i Československo (1918), dnes převážně místo setkávání různého (spíše byznys) druhu. Standard služeb na vysoké úrovni. Koncertní Smetanova síň sál s jednou z nejepších akustik v Praze. Místo udržované a šlechtěné - jen doba se změnila. Vtisknout mu spirit a větší energii již musejí ti, co z díla Muchova, jež tu majestátně skryto, byť obecně známo, načerpají. Dům na počátku tuv. královské cesty by měl být poctou národu, ten si ho ale musí proto svou věc opět získat.

The stars are for the guided tour which we found it to be not so educational or impressive as the building itself from the outside. The inside is nice but I truly felt that 290 korunas for the tour was WAY TOO MUCH and I would have rather paid to watch a concert in one of the halls.

For those in love with Art Nouveau and Art Deco - this building is simply stunning - down to the finest details, such as curtains, door handles and air ducts. All wall paintings are by artist Mucha. Magnificent. The concert in the main hall, just sort of brought it all into life.

This is the best example of an Art Nouveau building that you can visit in Prague. The stunning exterior is only a taste of the fabulous interior. On the ground level, you have the beautiful elegant Pilsen restaurant dressed with opulent chandelier lights that run the length of the cafe. You can have a meal, or just have cake and coffee, which are delicious and reasonable, given the setting. Their is a grand theatre with top class shows every night on the ground floor. On another occasion I went to the American Bar which is situated downstairs on your right, after you go through the main doors. Don't miss this gem of a place. If you want to experience total immersion in Art Nouveau design, this is the authentic experience. Look at the beautiful tiles and the intricate brasswork on the lift as you decend the stairs. Lovingly carved & painted panneling, seating and tiling are in abundance, even the clock is a work of high Art as is the coat rack ! I had cake & coffee but other diners had the dinners, which they seemed to eat with relish. Prices were reasonable and the cake was delicious. The waiter was very pleasant & attentive. To make the experience even more memorable, a sweet little old man was playing a medley of tunes throughout the evening. If you want Art Nouveau immersion, this is the place ! Enjoy !

A must-go in Prague. They have a tour guide with specific languages at a certain time during the day. It was such a fun experience. On the ground floor, they have their own restaurant and it seems very fancy. By looking at their menu clearly they make great foods too!! Plus I noticed they have concert during night time as well. Got a ticket for myself and it became the highlight of my holiday in Prague. It was fantastic, a great great show. The performance was sensational. The hall is absolutely a work of art, beautiful, breath-taking, eye-catching and impressive. It was such a pleasant experience to attend a concert here!

I joined a tour of the opera house and was amazed by its artistic design and interior decorations. Our tour guide was amazingly knowledgeable about the history of the house and Bahamian people. Highly recommended if you are a big fan of opera house and architecture.

Visiting Obecní dům in Prague was an unforgettable experience. From the moment I stepped into this architectural gem, I was transported into a world of exquisite Art Nouveau design. The intricate details of the interior, from the lavishly decorated ceilings to the stunning stained glass, are a feast for the eyes. The Smetana Hall, a concert hall inside, is not only a visual delight but also offers phenomenal acoustics, making the live classical music performances I attended there truly mesmerizing. What really stood out to me was the blend of art and history in every corner of the building. Obecní dům is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates art, architecture, and history. Its beauty and historical importance make it one of the highlights of Prague. A truly enriching experience that I would recommend to everyone!

We went to see the Mucha exhibition that it's just amazing and really recommended but we had a really bad experience in the evening. A man proposed us to see the concert at the municipal house in the evening and we accepted cause we would have had the chance to listen to a concert in a beautiful old music hall. But that was a trap for tourists: we paid 20 euros each to listen to 6 violinist playing some classic themes like the first elementary school performance. No other instruments, no director, no good lights... That concert was a big offence to all serious musicians and to that music hall. Really disappointed. Visit the building but don't go to the concerts!!!

Stunning new municipal hall If you want to visit, you need to buy tickets in advance. Tickets are nine euros for students per person. You cannot visit by your own because you need to be accompanied by guide and organized visit tour that lasts around one hour or one hour and a half. During your visit, you will see a lot of different kind of bars, halls, rooms, places to spend time. What is super interesting is that you can rent some of the halls for your events. Just be careful about visiting terms because there a specific times when you can come and groups are small.

Incredible building worth checking out through a tour or a visit at one of their restaurants. If you're able to catch a live performance here it's even better and highly recommended. We saw a classical concert here and it was amazing and affordable. We paid $50 for VIP tickets. This building also houses the largest Alfonse Mucha collection in the world. The building itself has paintings done by Mucha. It was a wonderful exhibit which showcases many of his works and also includes new digital art which makes for a more immersive experience. Highly recommend this over the Mucha museum. Tickets were about $12.

Beautiful architecture and design, even if you don’t visit here to go to a concert it’s a must! We were her for the new year’s eve concert as well as the dvorak concert the day before and both times it was just great! something that bother me though was that some people didn’t respect the „rules“ of such events: being on their phones, rushing in late and being loud… well, it was still great. the café is also good.

(Translated by Google) One of the pearls of Czech architecture and architecture. For a long time I only walked around, because the Municipal House was often presented to tourists, at least that's how it affected me. But now there is not much life, which is a shame, on the one hand, you can go to a luxury restaurant for a beer for 50 or a delicious soup. On the building as such, I would highlight especially the architectural quality and the level of craftsmanship. (Original) Jedna z perel českého stavitelství a architektury.

(Translated by Google) After a short time, the second visit (took place before the measure against COVID) and again great satisfaction. The iMucha exhibition is wonderful and a visit to the café is a real experience: beautiful surroundings, excellent desserts and coffee, prices are affordable and adequate, the service is excellent. (Original) Po krátké době druhá návštěva (proběhlo ještě před opatřením proti COVID) a opět velká spokojenost. Výstava iMucha nádherná a návštěva kavárny je opravdový zážitek: překrásné prostředí, výborné zákusky i káva,ceny přijatelné a odpovídají, obsluha na výbornou.

(Translated by Google) Nice place, unfortunately overpriced. After reviews of others, I was of the opinion that they bake everything themselves - it wasn't like that. The great looking cakes were frozen, my piece wasn't even completely thawed.
