Cannot stand movie theaters in malls. So this one is a gem for me. Most close impression to "going to the cinema" from my childhood. Watched "Back to the future" there and it was amazing. Looking forward to other events. This movie theatre is great for me and I can place it in a row with Bio Oko and Lucerna cinemas. All mentioned have it's own atmosphere and each is great and worth to visit.

Love to return over and over. Retro style, you can take drinks while watching movies, options are from new movies to old ones, documentaries and other alternatives. Bar food choice is limited, but they had one of the best hermelin i had in a very long time, also with raw salad, cool touch.

I used to come to this theater as a kid, having lived a few blocks up the street. I was too young to see the Planet of the Apes here, but saw the Vinetou series which shaped my childhood. Coming back to Prague, after 40 years, and rediscovering my old neighborhood which has hardly changed, aside from the addition of pizza, kebab and Vietnamese restaurants not here during communist era. I was hoping the theater was still here. ...and, to my surprise, it was. A ton of memories. A great art house film theater. Sure the seats aren't that comfortable for watching a 4 hour Once upon a time in America film..but the nostalgia remains. I was also surprised that new release. American movies were hardly filling this theater when I attended the second time. I counted less than a dozen for a first week showing of Brad Pitt's Bullet Train. The audience audibly reacting to the usual American film violence. The confectioners store next door, where mom would buy me a laskonka before the show is now a local pub...and they spiffed up the inside of the theater with a bar and some pre show food and drink options. Thank you for preserving this theater. I had a great time.

One of the best art theaters in prague. And also, I haven’t had such a good beer for a long time. Dogs are welcome too!!!

Very beautiful cinema , I saw a funny movie in Czech with English subtitles. A lot of expats seem to hang out here.

Nice historic cinema seating just over 300 people, sound was ok, from row 23 seat 8 but I suspect a more central seat would give better results. Seats are fine but not so good if the person next to you man spreads I managed not to resort to violence but it was close as I don't visit to have a stranger rubbing their knee against mine. Truly a great place bar is good but does have the expected queue between screenings. Support this local venue as we will be poorer without it.

Absolutely lovely cinema with a good bar and drinks you can take inside. The staff is always friendly and the whole place gives off really cool vibes.

One of the alternative movie theater options in Prague (vs multiplex cinemas), with a long history in this žižkov neighborhood. With options for movies dubbed in czech, some in original with subtitles. They also have afternoon screenings for seniors of the hood. For local expats who are keen to learn about Czech movies and culture, they offer (in cooperation with Some like it Czech) some iconic older czech movies with English subtitles and an intro in English to give historical context. These screenings are sometimes followed by optional networking event in the bar of the theater. Sadly no popcorn 🍿, but you can take your beer with you into the room during movie.

👍👍 The selection of unique flavors can tell from the start that you are in the right place. They choose an excellent name to describe their product. My large cup had a deep dark cherry chocolate, an apricot, and a lavender-blueberry scoop. The artisan ice-cream here is served by awesome staff that kind...
