I enjoyed my stay. The minibar is free (non alcoholic) and restocked daily. There are some questionable choices in the room such as a non locking bathroom, no shower door, and a thermostat that never seemed to get the room as cool as I wanted (heat from the hallway?) without opening the window. Bed is firm which I like. Lack of a fitness room is a major turnoff. Location wise it is quite close to the old town square and close enough to the metro near the palladium mall. The restaurant was quite good, breakfast buffet was good, and La Degustation (1 Michelin star) is next door. Edit: thank you for the information on the gym. That does make it a lot better for a traveling athlete.

I stayed several days at the Maximilian Hotel and I could not recommend it more. Before my stay, they were very helpful over email with questions I had about airport transportation. Upon my arrival, they were very warm and welcoming! They made my trip very special and even had a bottle of wine waiting for me in my room. The location is incredible and so close to everything. My room was the mini with balcony. The view was outstanding and the room had plenty of space. It was very clean and housekeeping did a lovely job each day. I will definitely be back!

Absolute divine! Absolutely loved our stay, it was perfection. I forgot to take pics, but it looks exactly like the published photos. Why this hotel is the best: - location in the heart of old town - underground parking €30 per night - Very dog friendly, we were allowed to bring our little boi, the hotel had a bowl for him, a bed and a towel which was great. You can also take your dog for a quick walk around the corner there is a dog friendly small park. - cafe downstairs to pick a nice cup of coffee when you’re up or purchase the breakfast which we have not tried. - The room was spotless, had all the amenities, was very comfortable and it was nice and quiet with really good insulation, it didn’t feel we were in the heart of town and had a good night sleep. - The staff was super friendly and welcoming. - Price was great value Thank you for an outstanding stay in Prague, we absolutely enjoyed our stay and would recommend it & come back.

Loved everything about this hotel. The rooms are clean and modern and the staff is great and smiling. There is also a spa. I had a back and foot massage and my fiancee had zenergy massage - super relaxing.

Good hotel! Absolutely excellent customer service at the reception and restaurant! Very good breakfast! We had a problem with absorbing the water from the sink siphon, but it wasn’t terribly. However, the staff is very polite and helpful! Recommend!

Perfect experience - loved the elegant design, fantastically comfortable bed, delicious breakfast (scrambled eggs with truffle superb) and friendly staff. Just one nigh, sure coming back.

I traveled here for business and there were aspects of the hotel that I loved and exceeded all other hotels I ever visited. First of all: the staff. They are friendly, and helpful in a very polite way, without overburdening you. This goes for the staff at the reception, breakfast, brasserie: thank you. Second, the breakfast is perfect. There is a buffet that is already over complete, with savory and sweet and many healthy choices (loved this). But then there is an a la carte menu with great egg options, and perfect coffee (and did I already mention the service?). Third, the design of the hotel. Everything looks amazing and is so well thought-out. I really value that in a hotel. It adds to the overall experience. But why give a 4 out of 5 then? Well, I would call it technical maintenance. And this aspect almost ruined my stay. There were details. There are free non-alcoholic drinks in the room (again amazing), but the fridge doesn’t work. So they are lukewarm. The remote control of the tv didn’t work. I asked for batteries at the reception and it still didn’t work (no one of the hotel made a note and checked.) As I had my laptop with me: no huge problem. Also: one morning my bathroom was (fully) flooded because of a blocked shower drain. But most notably: I stayed 6 nights and there was a power outage on day 1 and day 7. Because of this there was flimsy WiFi (a huge problem if you have an online meeting - I had to use my mobile internet) and I had to pack my bag early last morning in complete darkness while my devices were not fully charged for the long trip home. This is not the image you want to leave for your guests. I don’t know why this happened and I feel for the staff who go out of their way to make the guests stay perfect. But based on this experience I would recommend the hotel for a private trip, but not for a business trip. And I would advise the hotel to have a good look at their technical maintenance.

One of the best hotels I’ve stayed at as a frequent traveler, both for work and internationally. Stellar service and friendly workers. Rooms are immaculate and clean. Flowers waiting in the room upon arrival. Amazing breakfast and attached restaurant/bar. Could not ask for a better location either in the cozy Jewish quarter. My only complaint is that having advertised AC, it is centrally controlled and cannot be turned down so the rooms were warm for me (personal preference). However, everything else made it well worth the stay and reasonably priced. Will always recommend!

This is a lovely hotel to stay at. The rooms are modern, fresh and comfortable. I recommend taking the room with breakfast as the breakfast are just delicious. The hotel is in a quiet square in Old Town, with lovely trees and the hotel has tables out the front to sit and have a drink or a light meal.

Check-in took exceptionally long. They wanted to charge me for parking, even though I had been assured beforehand that the hotel didn’t have its own parking, so I parked a few minutes on foot from the hotel (which was not comfortable with a lot of luggage). I finally got my room card and - as it turned out - the "best" was yet to come. There was someone's personal belongings in the room - clothes, luggage, etc. The hotel had information that someone checked out of this room, it was cleaned, and yet someone was there! It took about an hour to explain everything. We did not receive a room at Hotel Maximilian, we were given a room at Hotel Josef (same company) instead, which was of a much lower standard - the inside of the room looked awful and was significantly different from what I had booked. And the prize was the same. Not only that, the same was done with the other guests who came to the Maximilian Hotel that day. We saw some couples also wanting to check into Hotel Maximilian first and later checking into Hotel Josef. From my perspective, it looked like a scam: overbooking a higher standard hotel to fill a lower standard hotel. At the end we gave up and found another hotel. The hotel staff was unprofessional and we had to wait several days for a refund.

Good rooms, good price, great location, great staff. Would happily stay here again should I find myself in Prague. Excellent “western” style breakfast available as well.

Very nice, boutque style, hotel work upscale feel. A very nice Cafe in lobby with excellent coffee and great selection of tapas. Rooms are decent size, but very nicely appointed.

Probably one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The staff are amazing and kind. The food was great. Some drinks were complimentary and provided daily, which was a bonus. Room service cleaned daily. Overall, great hotel and experience.

If I could give 10 stars I would. The service was impeccable. Everyone greeted us with a warm and welcoming smile. They even surprised me with a bottle of Prosecco and chocolate cake for my birthday. Fully recommend this hotel thanks for everything 🙏🏾

I have recently stayed in Maximilian hotel during christmas week. The hotel is well located to all nearby attractions which made my trip quite easy going. Also I would really like to appreciate each member of reception staff and specially erfan and the lady ( I guess she was from belarus and was working in the morning shift of 24th as well ) for helping me with the inputs ( whether it was related to the travel app or location or money exchange ) . The kitchen staff and the stewards also took great care of us and last but not least hotel booking team especially Tatana without whom the booking would not be possible and silvia for giving l required inputs related to payment. Cheers! & Thanks, Piyush Dhanik

Words cannot do justice to how OUTSTANDING this hotel is. The location is beyond beautiful, facing a gorgeous church , in a quaint lane but yet within 10 min of a walk from the main square. Within a minutes walk, you’ll find plenty of bars, pubs and restaurants. The rooms are extremely clean. The food is delicious. The decor is one of the best i have seen. It is not a noisy or an unnecessaryly grand 5 star hotel but the service is like that of a 7 star. The receptionists are so good at what they do and go out of their way to make you feel comforted.

I stayed in the hotel for 8 nights. The breakfast was very flavourful with various options for all diets. The staff from receptionist to the cleaning staff were very welcoming and helpful. The location is central few minutes away from the old town and very close to Palladium Praha shopping centre. The interior is so beautiful and the rooms are well designed.

Probably the best 4 starts hotel I’ve stayed at. The service and the kindness of the staff have exceeded all my expectations. My booking was changed from Hotel Josef to this hotel and how Nathalia & Negin handled everything was simply excellent. They certainly turned a “threat” into a great “opportunity” which could be taught to other hotels. Thank you for that! Besides all of it, breakfast was amazing too. Thanks guys, keep up the great work!

From the first time you step in to the hotel to the check out, the service here is unmatched. The decor and atmosphere is that of any 5 star hotel I’ve been to. My gf and I stayed here with our 6 month old and would gladly come here again, thank you from Canada.

Incredible staff! SO NICE! Incredible architecture. Incredible breakfast (for a vegan, yaaaayyyy). I'm serious, between comforting guests and being forward thinking, this is the BEST BEST BEST and heartfelt place to stay. I stayed for 9 days and really everybody did such an awesome job. Coming back anytime! Modern, vegan friendly (yes, yes, and all the others too), great rooms, great location. I would give 10 stars if possible.

Right in Old Town next to bus stop 194. You need advanced tickets to ride because bus driver do not take cash nor local stores sell tickets. You can only get it from the subway(metro). You should walk to take in the historical view and wear comfortable footwear.

Our stay was impeccable. The customer service was exceptional from start to finish. The receptionists were very friendly and helpful. We had breakfast included but needed to check out early on our last day so asked if they could arrange some breakfast to go for us. They packed us each a paper bag with a sandwich, some pastries, fruit and an orange juice. It was absolutely perfect for our train ride to our next destination. We did however have a little trouble with the temperature of the room and ended up opening the windows as the heating was too warm. We managed to reduce the temperature on the control panel but it didn't seem to go below I think 21 or 20 degrees. Once we set the controller to cooling mode we had no problem with the temperature. Just seemed wasteful seeing as it was freezing outside! Overall an amazing stay and would highly recommend!
