We only stumbled across this exhibition on Google by chance when we were in Prague. It certainly deserves a visit. What caught our attention as we were looking for places that were interesting and child-friendly, were the review numbers for this place - take a look at the number of reviews and the star rating! You are best to visit or contact the exhibit within a few days of your target visit as they are usually booked in advance - only small groups can go through at a time, and tours are language specific. As a traveling family this is the kind for thing that has us talking for a few days afterewards. We kept it as a surprise for our child, to make it a bit more exciting! We didn’t know much about it besides that we wouldn’t see much! The experience was excellent and the staff were genuine and helpful. The price was very reasonable for a family, and the location is fairly central in Prague. All we will say is that you will learn a lot about yourself, trust, uncertainty, the challenges faced of the vision-impaired, and what you don’t pay attention to! Have fun!

One of the most unique experiences I’ve ever had as it puts you directly in the shoes of someone who is blind. You’ll spend 1 hour with on a guided tour in a completely dark room. You’re guided by someone who is also blind and you’ll have to navigate through various rooms identifying different objects using your sense of touch which is vitally important. This experience made me realise how privileged I am to still have my sight but it also made me realise how the visually impaired and blind are capable of adapting to their circumstances. My guide was born blind. He was extremely engaging to interact with. I’m so happy to know that job opportunities have been created for them as well. I can guarantee you this experience will be something you’ll never forget. There’s also a room with various games that the blind can play, watches with brail and audio cues and even a typewriter that they can use. It’s extremely interesting 👍🏽👍🏽

Surprisingly the most interesting experience in Prague! This is an absolute must do! It's an incredible, thoughtful way to find out how blind people live their lives and how they experience their surroundings. We had an absolutely amazing English guide and learned a lot. So again please go! You will not regret it and it supports blind people by providing them with opportunity to be guides.

As many others have written, we only stumbled across this by luck. And we are glad we did. It was a fantastic experience. Our family of four had an English speaking guide (note: you need to arrange in advance). We were taken through a completely! dark set of everyday scenarios (no blindfolds - it's dark!). An apartment, a simulated street, forest cabin, camp area, park, museum, and a bar. In each location we were challenged to touch and feel our way through the things there. The last stop was the bar, where we could buy some soft drinks, and talk with/question our blind guide about his everyday life as a blind. (A big thanks to Tomasz.) Since everything from the guided tour is in complete darkness, and you are asked to leave phones and watches outside (in locked cabinets), the photos you see here are from the "waiting area", where you can try to play games blindfolded.

Pictures of this exhibition don't really make sense because the bulk of the experience, and the most essential part, is done in the dark. A guide leads you and your group through a series of rooms to give you a taste of what it is like to navigate the world without any sense of sight. You can (politely) ask questions and learn even more -- we learned about cooking and teaching, as our guide does both in her life. There is a small room that's lit and has information and games available for sighted people, in Czech and in English. You can request a guide in other languages as well. Highly recommended.

Great experience. Felt off at the beginning due to claustrophobia and fear of the unknown but my guide (Cecilia) was great (so was my partner). The experience itself was really good. Nothing to fear and a truly eye opening (excuse the pun) experience. Really gives you a glimpse into a world you think you know about

We had a super nice experience in this exhibition. You can experience playing chess with the mask on before the tour. During the tour, we entered the room in complete darkness. The guide was very nice and spoke fluent English. I really recommend this experience in Prague.

Had a really bad experience, the guide was rude, followed me around the room in the dark, touching me with an object while I was in a panic begging her to stop. Afterwards I walked towards her, accidentally touched her and got pushed against the wall quite strongly by a woman twice my size. Wouldn’t recommend it.

This is an amazing experience. We got to experience the life of blind people in small doses. Our guide Michele was very patient and kind. She explained to us how she got blind as well. I highly recommend this experience to everyone, so that we can design a society that will more livable for blind people.

This is such a fantastic experience! Great opportunity to gain better understanding and awareness of the life of people with vision impairments. And it's fun! Make sure to bring some coins at the end for a beer, coffee, or juice!

Very different experience.. Price was little high for english. Worth trying. Was a bit scary In start but got adjusted later.. If u get bored of regular museums n all this is very good.. Only thing was if ur walking in a group and in middle or end then people before u end up identifying many things so less surprise element for u.. So tip- stay in front of group. Book before for english.

Checkout their website before hand!! I joined the invisible exhibition and invisible dinner. There’s ofcourse no photos I can show but I would highly recommend this experience. Our guide was super nice and shared many stories of his to us. Experienced a life without light and the idea of time. I went alone so I was with another family and was super fun!! It’s a super memorable experience and it’s difficult to describe with words so go and experience it yourself!!

This was great and brought me a different level of respect for blind people. After an hour I hd a headache and was tired from having to concentrate so much. I kept trying to open my eyes more to see lol It was a bit claustrophobic at times to be honest. The guide was good but unnecessarily touching my butt in my opinion. Obviously he had to touch us to guide us through the darkness but didn’t have to slide a finger on my body every time. Maybe it’s just my boundaries though. I had a great time overall

This exhibition made me appreciate my health and also the effort a disabled person must put into everyday life. The guide was really nice and friendly and open to any questions. I would recommend pairing this with a food/wine tasting which is also an option.

The experience was absolutely worth it.Completely different from what i ve seen before. We spent an hour in the dark having to rely only on the other senses. The guide was very helpful, friendly and talkative and has helped us understand a fraction of what living with blindness must feel like. The rest of the staff were very open and friendly.A very unique experience that i recommend to everyone.

Such an interesting experience. They guide you through the tour really well and at the end you can ask you blind guide all the questions you have about being part of the blind community. Honestly worth going for everyone!

I loved this exhibition that I got to experience with lovely guide Jana. It's a must-visit and important place where you get to "see" the world the way a blind person does. The first part of the exhibition provides information about various vision impairments, blind musicians, Braille alphabet, etc. The second part is invisible & no spoilers on what you'll experience there :) I highly recommend it!! The tours are available in different languages.

The best exhibition in Prague!!! I would rate it 20/20 if I could. You must visit it if you’re not afraid of darkness, or don’t suffer from claustrophobia. It’s way better to come with your partner or friend, rather than with a group. We are really grateful and thankful to Andrew, who was our guide for the whole hour. He is very polite and kind, and has a wonderful knowledge of English. He answered all our questions, and showed us the world of blind people. Price for two people was 660 CZK in English + 100 CZK for espresso and juice. It’s worth it!!! I’d even pay x2 more. I am very happy that there’s such a wonderful project in Prague. We’ll definitely come back ❤️

(Translated by Google) An interesting exhibition where you really stretch your other senses 🙈 something was great, something on the contrary was quite rough for me (some answers of our guide), but as a whole I evaluate it very positively and I definitely recommend it. The tour lasts about an hour.

1 hour in a pitch black exhibition to experience how the blind people live their daily life. It made me realize how I take my eyesight for granted. Ticket is about 12 euros. Not allowed to wear or carry anything in the exhibition that can light up.There are cabinets you can put away your stuff in. At the end of the experience, there is a bar in the dark exhibition itself, carry some cash for a drink. Camilla is a great guide! Highly recommend this exhibition for learning differently abled lifestyle.

Had to enquire few days in advance about a tour in English. The experience took 1 hour. It was a unique and interesting experience to go though a set of dark rooms with a friendly guide and I enjoyed it.

A great exhibition to experience the life of a blind person. It has a room with free exhibition of games, information, explanations and tools blind people use in their everyday life. There is also the second part of the exhibition when you spend 1 hour in complete darkness following the guide and going "through" the blind persons' life - at home, outside and all the in-betweens. If you're opened for new experience and are happy to explore new feelings - 200% recommend!

We can not speak highly enough about this fantastic experience. Not only do they have brilliant and friendly guides, but the whole experience is so perfectly thought out and executed. It is inexpensive and just so interesting from start to end learning how a blind person navigates through life. Highly recommend.

One of the best exhibitions I have ever visited! Luky was our English speaking guide and he was amazing! He was very friendly and welcoming and provided a lot of insight into what life is like as a blind person. There was a variety of different rooms/settings and it was interesting to make your way through and figure out your surroundings by touch. Genuinely one of the most insightful and thought provoking experiences I’ve ever had. Would highly highly recommend. Would also recommend staying for a bit afterwards and trying the various games/puzzles/lego with a blindfold on. They can be more challenging than you might think!

Eye opening experience- experience with an excellent guide with visual impairment, who took our family through daily activities in total darkness in a safe environment. Our guide helped us feel totally at ease, and we had opportunity to ask questions. Fabulous initiative and couldn't recommend more! Thank you invisible experience!

We had an amazing time with our guide who was so welcoming. Thanks to him I felt safe during the all tour even though I'm affraid of dark places. The experience was definitely worth the try, and was very instructive. You'll just need to plan and book a slot in advance to meet an English-speaking guide (or every other language than Czech) Thank you so much!

It was one of my best experiences in life. It was really like a fairy tale. I realized being blind is also normal. We think being blind is abnormal only because we have eyes. We are also abnormal for many living beings. The visit filled me with some unique experiences. Our guide was also such a nice lady. This visit to the blind museum opened my eyes, even I was blind there for 1 hour. Thank you.
