Herold´s park with an area of 1.5 hectares is divided into two parts - the reconstructed half under Kodaňská Street and the area around Vršovice Chateau. Dog walkers love to come through here, but there's not a lot of dog dirt around considering what Prague is like for this! There are plenty of bars, restaurants, cafes, shops and potraviny's all around this area. If you can't find what you're looking for on site then you can walk 30 seconds in any direction to find something you'll like. There is a school to the east of the park, with another outdoor football pitch. A college to the west with numerous students who take advantage of the park at lunch and breaks, especially in the summer time. The only down side is that once night fall comes, i.e. when it's dark, there appears to be a small group of drug addicts/alcoholics that congregate in one area (the number is small, around 3-5 at anyone time). That said, during the day time and especially in the summer, it's free from any troubles. The tram number 22 stops south of the park, a 2 min walk (even less) and there are plenty of buses that stop to the north of the park. There's an onsite toilet as part of the sport/beer outlet center and there's also a Tesco express just across from the North-Eastern side of the park - so you can pick up your groceries after lounging in the sun all day. In conclusion, if you're looking for a nice small park, that gets slightly busy when the sun is out but is quiet and secluded enough for you to enjoy the sun/study/book, then this is a nice park for you to use.
