😠 The store is good, the service is terrible. The cashiers are rude, they don't help, and they also mock you if you don't understand Czech. Please do something about these rude workers so that we can safely go shopping at the store. People often mention shopping, good, shop, store, find, Tesco,

This is a large supermarket inside shopping center. Unfortunately Google map is not showing location correctly. Most items are available with good prices. Most convenience store inside downtown is pretty expensive but this market has good prices.

🍁I am canadian and I don't speak Czech. Good one stop shop for groceries and to get socks. They had everything i needed. Was helped by staff and with the few phrases I learned on my way here and was able to get help ringing in my order. 👑The British couple next to me asked nearly the same question and got super frustrated the guy didn't speak English. I'm still wondering how many languages they expect this 20 year old to learn while working at a grocers. 🐞So many bigoted comments in this city surrounding expectations of accommodation. Get a grip White English people... 🙄

I come often for the quality of products. Unfortunately, whenever I go to the automatic counter I find 2 middle aged women, both totally lazy and incompetent, one of them always pissed and screaming at everyone. Once they tried to make me pay twice cause they had no clue on how to verify a payment: I had to show them the transaction on my banking app. Absolutely no respect for foreigners

Feel really bad as the discount of coupons or clubcard are not working. The discount prices seems "showing" and it did not decrease even using clubcard, which made me really bad and would not recommend friends to go. The quality of rohlik and croissants should be improved, tasting not fresh and dry.

Full of people! Packed! I know, it was 31.12, 11am. Was able to get what I needed and ran away. Not cheap, not so wide selection (ex butter : 2 brands!) Still, all was stocked. Conveniently laid out...

Great store with many options. It’s often quite busy, but even so, there so many cashiers and self checkout stalls that the wait to pay is never long. Also very convenient to have other shops close by in the Mall.

Plenty of choice, the bakery is amazing compared to England Tesco. Doesn't accept English clubcard which was a shame so had to pay full price

As normally a good place to shop for groceries and produce. Also have a big section for foreign food and sauces. Also a big vegan and gluten free section. And located in a great mall with a central location. I especially love when they bring in a big batch of fresh salmon for a great price. At this occasions I go all in and there is some serious salmon eating going on. :-) highly recommended.

It's a good store with a pretty good selection. Lots of checkout lines which allow you to get through pretty fast, which is a really good thing because this place is always packed. The isles are very narrow and combine that with a lot of people and it can be a bit of a frustration trying to get around, but other than that it's a good store.

Absolutely horrible experience there...What poor management that i am forced to queue for 25 minutes to pay for my goods on the 23 rd of December...Apartment from the self service check, out only 2 cash desks, from the 15 or so, were open..I joined the queue, only to be yelled at that it was closing in 5 minutes ...I then had to join another queue at about 21.40 pm at the only remaining open cash desk, hence the long wait...What a shambles! You would think that Tesco would know there are likely to be many customers just before Christmas!!!

Produce is mostly not fresh at all, and you should never get any meat on discount because it will most likely be bad despite the later expiration date so it's safer to opt for frozen variety. However club card is useful for decreasing the spend

Extremely rude staff. I did not get any help within the shop to find a little sandwich. Asking in English about my need was a game changer for five of the store employees. I only managed to receive help from other customer. I really hope that this situation will change. Unfortunately, it was not the nicest experience.

It's almost exactly like Walmart but without the crazy people. The crazy people have their own charm though.

Large choice. I tend to prefer billa and albert, but there is nothing closer to where we live. For regular shopping, their card is mandatory. Otherwise, you pay way too much. This card is not helping to get good price, but allow you not to be robbed. Inside Novy Smichov.

Although I really like shopoing at tesco, I start hating to go to the one in Novy Smichov. The staff standing at the sell- payment section are weird and disrespectful to the foreigners. When they see a foreigner, they stand by them and staring at them to check if they tap all the goods in their basket. Totally rude behaviour as if foreigners are theifs by default. I would like to remind these staffs that most expats in the Czech republic are highly educated and professionals whose social level and IQ is thousand times higher than you racist idiots.

Ein relativ großer, gut sortierter Supermarkt. Gerade die Auswahl an Brot, Brötchen etc sind sehr groß.

I absolutely love this place. It's big, the prices are good, the security guard is wonderful! The cashiers are also very nice. Whenever I'm a Prague, this is Tesco I always come back to

Self checkout staff member took my receipt, which I need for work, and lost it. Was unwilling to help me find it or print a new one. Super frustrating how poor the customer service is here.

A huge place to do shopping.. if you don’t find what you’re looking for there, it will be probably because they ran out of it or is a competitor’s product :) It’s located inside the shopping center where they have an indoor parking, first 2h for free, and easy access from the shop all the way to your car. Easy to find on the first floor and very close to the exit.

Good beef and relatively average fish selection. Fruits/Veg tend to have decent discounts but sell out quickly. Often overcrowded in mornings and afternoons. Full of social deviants in the late night hours.

Nice shop. There is no car parking. Or I didn’t find one.

So huge and though it was almost crowded I believe it was because of the holidays approaching but I was served expeditiously. Will always shop here.

You get fresh vegetables, bakery items, meat and fish here. You also get clothing, household items and alcohol. I stop shop.

Really large branch of Tesco. Very bright and clean. A pleasure to shop there.

Tesco in Novy Smichov is not the best I have seen. There were no easy access for the scanners. There is no space between the cashier and the shopping area.

  • 4/5 Jujube P. 1 year ago on Google
Big choice, cheaper than Albert, bila, etc only a bit disappointed that there is not anymore fresh fish and the meat quality is pretty low (but kind of normal in Czech). Usually this shop is crowded.

The best place for shopping! An extremely large assortment of products. Very good service and nice atmosphere. Perhaps a small minus is the lack of assortment at the fish stand. However, it is so nice to shop there that I can't leave the store. It's worth a visit. Good location. I am loving it! ❤️

Always love it there, yesterday went for dinner and was badly surprised to see they started to charge 10 CZK for toilets. Why on earth to do that. Shame

  • 3/5 Kamil P. 1 year ago on Google
It's OK. You get there most of groceries and daily items you need. Sometimes it's a bit difficult to find the goods you want and in peak hours it's supercrowded, with quite long waiting at the cashier desk. If you can, plan your shopping for less busy hours, it would really improve your shopping experience. Prices are OK (it's not a discount shop but it's not exceptionally expensive).

Perfectly fine, if you are looking for a grocery store in a shopping centre, definitely one of the best, still cannot compare to a standalone Tesco, or an Albert.

Regular tesco store, missing a few products but generally will find what you're after. Staff helpful too

  • 5/5 Matus H. 1 year ago on Google
Really huge with all kinds of sortiment. Opened daily. They have a lot of self-service cash registers which is a god-send.

It's a super market that somehow always manages to feel extraordinarily messy and rather filthy. It might be the green ham the filthy floors the huge mess that's on the shelves I don't know what it is that causes this place to be a place where I'd rather not buy food. Besides that it is the biggest supermarket around and it does have a reasonable selection, unfortunately Tesco just like most other supermarkets in the country feels that shelves with twenty rows of the same identical product are better than ten rows of product variations other brands or just different things making the size of any supermarket in Czech pretty much irrelevant since they just have more of the same products on the shelves as they get bigger instead of offering more choice. So you are just as good or as bad of with a much smaller supermarket where food at least is not rotting on the shelves.
