Místo, kde odpočívají zesnulí, někteří významní čeští velikáni zde mají své pomníky nejsou zde však přímo pochováni. Doporučuji procházku v tichosti a s pokorou.

The bodies of famous personalities are buried in this cemetery. For example, here you can see the grave of the composer Antonín Dvořák or the writer Božena Němcová. People from the recent past, such as Waldemar Matuška and many others, are also buried here. At the main entrance there is a map where you can find the grave of a specific person. The cemetery is very large, and if you want to see only the main ones, I recommend that you start by studying the map.

It is located next to the Basilica of St. Peter and Paul. Although words like beautiful and peaceful are perhaps not the most suitable for a cemetery, but here is something different. You will see many interesting sculptures, decorations... Some of the most important people and families of Prague are buried here. Give them time, you won't regret it.

The Slavín is a tomb in the grounds of the Vyšehrad Cemetery in Prague where many. notable Czechs are interred in the tomb. Slavin is in the cemetery ground to the east of Saint Peter and Paul Basilica. You can't miss it as it's very prominent in the cemetery.

A place with incredible charm and charisma (however strange it may sound for a cemetery). The impressiveness of the place is given by the nearby basilica of St. Peter and Paul. At the entrance you will find an information panel about which of the well-known or famous personalities have their graves in the cemetery. We only found out at the end, and maybe that was actually an even greater experience. Everyone buried here deserves respect and a quiet walk. Slavín also has his business card in the tourist journal.

The monumental tomb was designed by the architect Antonín Wiehl. Slavín was built between 1889 and 1893 on the east side of the Vyšehrad cemetery. The sculptural decorations were made by Josef Mauder (1854-1920). The poet Julius Zeyer was the first person buried in the tomb, in 1901, eight years after its completion. The tomb contains 44 burial tombs, most with coffins, although some urns are also stored. The remains of 55 people are currently buried in Slavín.

The monumental tomb was built in 1893, and the first celebrity of Prague was buried here only in 1901. Here are the mortal remains of Dvorak, Smetana and the architect Antonin Vil.
