This is the first dental office where I felt heard and felt respected. I felt like I was being treated honestly and I could start trusting again. All of the staff had a positive attitude and wanted to be working there. They took the time to help me feel comfortable. I was given all the explanations I wanted and more without the same negative criticism I have received from other dental offices. They were awesome!

I feel compelled to share my experience with Dr. Grant Smith. My entire family has been going to him ever since he began practicing. What is most apparent at first is his jovial manner and sense of humor. He has a quick wit and is keenly intelligent. The atmosphere in the office is lighthearted. You can tell the staff are treated well, as they look happy and relaxed. This says a lot about how Dr. Grant treats his staff. Dr. Grant is very good at what he does. He is also quite willing to explain to you the particulars of your dental situation, and has a natural flair for teaching. He doesn't talk over you or make you feel dumb. He has a good manner with the patients. One day I was in tears, I was so scared of the anesthesia. He calmed me down and the whole procedure was actually not so bad. I was very grateful to him for this, because it's really embarrassing to cry in front of your dentist when you're a grown woman. The last two points I want to mention are of special importance to me. Personally, it is very important for me to have a care provider who has a strong sense of integrity and is kind. Dr. Grant gets a resounding "yes" on both counts. I must also say that the staff is wonderful. I have never had a hygienist I did not like. I give him and his staff my highest recommendation possible. Update: July 2021 I wanted to go ahead and update my review, and let you all know that I continue to love Dr. Smith and all of his staff. How is it possible that I consider a visit to the dentist relaxing and fun, instead of something to dread? I get top-notch care and kind, intelligent people. Clean teeth are a given, of course.Thank you Dr. Smith and staff!

I started seeing the Dr Smith at this office when I was 24. I’m now 71 and receiving care from Dr.Grant Smith…his talented and kind Son. This office and its staff provide an atmosphere of professionalism plus caring. I highly recommend this Practice.

I had a very good experience at Prairie Village Dentists during my visit this week. The receptionist was very friendly and helpful during check-in for my bi-yearly cleaning and check-up procedure. My dental hygienist was very friendly, courteous, and skilled. She did an excellent job taking x-rays, performing gum evaluation, cleaning and polishing my teeth. Dr. Grant Smith was very friendly, and courteous, and gave me a very thorough dental examination including an oral cancer screening test. He is a very caring, highly educated and skilled professional dentist. I would definitely recommend him for his outstanding services.

What an efficient office! Extremely accommodating, friendly, gentle care by all the staff from front desk to Diane the dental hygienist and then Dr Grant. I’m so happy to have found this practice!

Dr. Grant and his assistants, as always, provided cheerful welcome and gentle service. I'm always pleased with the results I get. My teeth are not the best to start with but they're always better when dr. Grant has worked on them. Two failing ancient fillings are now superb and solid crowns.

Dr Grant, the hygienists, and the office staff are all wonderful people and I’ve had nothing but really good dental care here. They even seem to actually give a hoot, too!

I had a loose molar crown re-glued. X-rays were taken to check the integrity of molar. The surface of the molar was prepared and the crown re-glued successfully. The procedure was expertly done, good hygiene procedure, and friendly staff. Great job!

This was my 1st visit & the staff exceeded my expectations! My mom has stage 4 Alzheimer’s and the staff, especially Dr Smith, was so patient and accommodating. He saw on her new patient info that she loves singing so he asked her fav song (Oh Happy Day!) and he sang it with her as well as sang her his own rendition of a Simon and Garfunkel song. She warmed up immediately and he was able to work with her to see in her mouth. I never felt like we were a bother or was talking too much of their time. He even set it up so that the impressions he needs can be obtained while she’s asleep in oral surgery. I’ll definitely be back and have referred him to others in the family just because of how he treated my mom.

Awesome team; I have severe anxiety, especially when it comes to new places and dental appointments, but they were absolutely amazing. Thank you Dr Colombo and Kelly for y’all’s amazing work!

Everyone in the office is upbeat, professional, and knowledgeable. Dr Grant’s team got me in quickly and fixed my chipped tooth perfectly! Def will recommend them to friends and family.

This dental practice is outstanding. Everyone is so upbeat and nice, but no less professional for that. Dr. Smith is really gifted and analyzes aspects of my oral health that no other Dentist ever has. Thanks to him and his assistants, I look forward to getting more work done that will help relieve sleep apnea, possibly acid reflux, and the grinding that I’ve done for decades. Highly recommended!

This place is special. Every single person I have interacted with here has been genuinely kind and welcoming. Dr. Grant truly cares about the wellbeing of his patients and prides himself in thorough dental care, made evident by the amount of time he spends with each patient. He is incredibly knowledgeable not only about general dentistry but also the link between orthodontics and sleep-disordered breathing. I came here for general dental care but left with answers to questions about sleep I would have never thought to ask a dentist. I have seen multiple sleep specialists over the years and none have been able to explain the cause of my excessive daytime sleepiness. Dr. Grant took one look at me and figured out my teeth are to blame. I am now starting orthodontic expansion and am hopeful about seeing improvements in my sleep quality. I cannot recommend this office and Dr. Grant enough!

Wow! Dr Grant Smith came highly recommended and I was very impressed with everyone from front desk, to technicians, to insurance expert, to ??? I interacted with five different people and all were (without exception) friendly, welcoming, professional. Each person listened to my concerns and thoroughly and patiently explained everything they were going to do, what my options were and how my teeth would benefit. Very knowledgeable!! Great experience!!

Dr grant smith and his coworkers are the best. If you’re having a bad day go see Grant. He’ll fix your teeth as good as new and cheer you up at the same time. That’s a tall order for anyone, but not for Grant. His office group are all so very helpful and nice. I’ve been seeing dr grant for 15 years since the day I moved to Kansas. G-d willing I will have many many more.

Jennifer is one of the best dental hygienist I have ever come across in all of my years! Dr. Grant is the exceptional icing on the cake he explains things that will cause possible further problems with your teeth. Makes great two suggestions worth following! The whole group has got great communication skills they are like a real family and work together well! The reception always make an effort to check and see what your insurance will cover and will call you back with any information you need to know. If your appointment is away is that they never hesitate to give you a reminder the closer you get to your appointment!! It's so good to have great trust in your dentist and all the people he works with.

Dr. Grant and his staff are very knowledgeable and genuinely care about you and your health. They take the time to listen and take any of your issues or questions seriously but he has a way of lessening your fears in the dentist chair. :) The facility is clean and has new technologies. We have been going to Dr. Grant for over 10 years and really like and trust him and his staff. Best dentist in KC!

Always a pleasure coming to Prairie Village Dentists. Everyone is so friendly and have been so accommodating on the couple of occasions where I needed to get in to see Dr. Smith for a time sensitive issue. They even kept the office open past closing time off one time just so they could help me with a partial that came lose. You can tell everyone loves what they do here. I’ve never met a funnier, more kind, group of dentists, hygienists and office staff!

My daughters never knew visiting the dentist could be such an enjoyable experience until I switched providers and brought them to Prairie Village Dentists. A very calming office environment, an incredibly friendly & thoughtful staff, and very thorough exams and cleanings by the hygienists and Dr. Smith. Could not recommend more highly!

The best dental office I’ve been to. The front desk ladies are always welcoming and nice. First time I came I had Robyn as my hygienist and Diane the time after, they are both wonderful and pay very close attention to details. Dr. Grant is very helpful and knowledgeable, plus he’s friendly and fun to be around. I would recommend this place to everyone.

I had an absolute blast at this dental office. They have an absolutely lovable dog, and an amazing staff. This is by far the best dental office I’ve ever been to. I would definitely recommend it, and now my teeth are the best they have ever looked thanks to my fabulous hygienist Diane.
