Dr. Brown has taken care of my pup Milo for over 7 years now. Highly recommend this vet office. They really understand your pet is legit your family. They always go out of their way to give the best care.

I have been a client of Tomahawk Animal Hospital for over 20 years and would not take my pets anyplace else! The entire staff always provides outstanding service & care. Over the years I have had several pets and no matter what I needed, vaccines, health concerns (golden retriever allergies are the worst!), emergency surgery, they were there. Dr. Krause and Melissa specifically, have been like family and have always treated my pets and I like members of theirs. A++++ !!!

Worst vet care ever!! Profit is the only motivation at Tomahawk Animal Hospital, same issue over and over we have paid for 3 times now over $600 for a simple test that has not yet been done. The vet tells you one thing and the staff tells you another thing, Zero communication skills both my Frenchies got sick just from being there for one day. Please be aware and stay away

Took our kitty here since it’s around the block. Incredible customer service. The front desk ladies were so kind and welcoming. They got me in and out in less than 30 min with a procedure. The vet was very kind and patient. I’ll be taking my kitties here from now on!

Dr Krause is a wonderful vet and person. He is so kind/caring. I feel comfort know he is looking after my furr babies.

My pets have been in the care of Dr. Kraus for over 30 years -- from the beginning of his illustrious career-- back when I owned a pot-bellied pig! I wanted to get the best vet care for my 14.5 Chihuahua mix, Pepe. I read all the reviews and my dog's groomer said she would go to Dr Kraus. He used to be with Dr Hecker where I took my chihuahua Boomer 10 years ago. He's truly gifted and cares about senior pets. He performed an expert dental cleaning/4 front canine tooth extraction on 10/28/22 and gave Pepe a post dental follow up today. He's the best veterinarian that I was fortunate enough to experience!

First I have a fabulous Shih Tzu & if you are hypnotized by the breed then you will understand, they are adorable, loyal, loving & strong headed, "stubborn?" Here is where the true scoop on Chelley, our groomer comes in...she is the best! Max is only 1 yr. & 1 mo. old, so he is super hyper and she along with her staff have magic ✨ to handle Max. You can tell how caring & loving she is with her animals. She is AMAZING! And Max always looks perfect & Shih Tzu fresh. Max LOVES her too. I am very blessed to have someone that is soooo great with him. Chelley if you leave Tomahawk you MUST let Max know, he will follow you! 🐾🐾💖 I could not have a better groomer for my angel, Maximilian Marshall.

My animals have been coming here for years, great vets and staff. They are all very nice and informative, and genuinely care about their patients. One of my dogs has been having the laser therapy treatments and WOW what a difference! He wasn’t able to stand on his own and now he’s up and running around! If your animals have had an injury or arthritis, definitely try the laser treatments. Plus, the goggles are pretty cute 😊

We brought our very sick dog into them. They saw him and got lab drawn. We spent almost $500 . The next day I called 3 times to get results without a return call or follow up. Worst vet care ever.. I messaged on fb to get the lab results and they emailed them without even an apology. Took my dog to another vet and was admitted for care . I am a nurse . If we could give no stars I would. Dr Kraus is a flake

Very attentive! Very patient. Friendly, caring, happy staff. My dogs were nervous and hard to handle, but well taken care of. The smiles were reassuring.

Dr Brown is wonderful. He’s thorough, patient, and gentle with my animals. I also appreciate that he calls me letting me know of test results and/or next steps for the care of my animals.

As per usual, Dr. Kraus took excellent care of one of my fur babies. She came home after her dental cleaning none the worse for wear and she is doing just fine.

I am so happy that I chose to board my dog Teddy at Tomahawk Animal Hospital. The receptionists at the front are very sweet. My dog is very shy, and has ran away before from pet sitters, so I was very cautious of taking him to a new place. I let them know that under no circumstances is Teddy to go for walks because he is an escape artist and can find a way to get away. They were very accommodating with Teddy and allowed him to hang out with them in the reception area during slow portions of the day. They took extra time to talk sweetly to him, and give him love and attention that I know he craved while we were gone. They even scheduled a grooming and bath appointment for him the day before I picked him up and he looked so cute and smelt great when we were ready to take him home. I am very grateful to Tomahawk Animal Hospital for being so sweet with my Teddy, and making special accommodations to make sure he is safe and happy. I highly recommend bringing your dog here for grooming and boarding. This will definitely be our new animal hospital as they can Do literally anything you need for your pet.

Dont bring your animal here. I came here due to the location and good reviews but I wouldn't recommend this office. The building is small so they ask to bring come get your pet and do the appointment with you in the car. I wasn't comfortable with if and the vet tech was very nice and said I could come in. I'm glad I did because the building was extremely hot. I noticed dogs being let out for bathroom breaks and the idea of any pet being left in a kennel in the late heat is very sad to me. My appointment was for an annual check for my cat. We updated her vaccines and a physical was done. The vet was nice. However a few months later my cat stopped eating, rapidly started losing weight and became every irritable. After being unhappy with the environment of this vet clinic we took my cat to other clinic. The first thing the vet did was look in my cats mouth but show very obvious signs of severely advanced periodontal disease. My cat was in so much pain and I vividly remember the vet from tomahawk hospital NEVER looking in my cats mouth. The signs were so obvious and the pain my cat went through could have been fix months ago if the vet did a thorough exam. She ended up having 7 teeth extracted and was even already missing some. We go to kansas city veterinary care on Worrall and everyone is wonderful there.

I wouldn't go ANYWHERE else. I'm not an experienced dog mom, but she's my person, and they are loving, extremely reasonable, and always willing to help with all my (really really )dumb questions. Her groomer Shelley is amazing too- my dog never comes home with over clipped toenails and she isn't afraid to be groomed or go visit her pal who gives her baths and treats. (Unlike the first place I went... shudder. ) A caring and experienced groomer is everything for a dog with a foot condition like mine and Shelleys the best.

The entire medical staff was so kind and helpful when we came in with a sick hamster, Calvin. He literally passed away while my daughter and I were there waiting to be seen. They all spoke words of condolences to my 8-year-old daughter, saying, "No matter how big or how small, all animals are God's creatures, and this hamster was loved so much." Thank you to them all!

We really appreciate them making accommodations to make all of us feel safe including our furry friends! Their prices are very affordable. We will definitely keep going here!
