Excellent original breakfast and lunch menu. Call ahead to get on their waiting list, always busy. Coffee is decent, could be better blend.

Ordered the Carrot Cake Pancakes here and they were delicious. Fast service and great food. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a good brunch spot, although the locals already know this. We like this restaurant a lot and come often.

We've been a regular at First Watch for years, and I've never had a bad meal. The food is always fresh and delicious, and the service is friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed, making it a perfect place to enjoy a meal with friends or family. I highly recommend First Watch for breakfast, brunch, or lunch. Make sure you try the traditional if visiting for the first time.

I feel like this has to be a joke. Had coworkers pick up my food this morning. I ordered the Chikichanga, which is supposed to have potatoes and fruit. I got zero potatoes, and 2 “cups” of fruit with approximately 3 tiny pieces of fruit in them. For $13? To say I am disappointed is an understatement. But I can’t leave to go get food and they don’t have time to go back. It should have been correct to begin with as I didn’t order anything that was not on the menu.

I have been wanting to go to First Watch for some time and I was finally able to go. They have a wide selection on their menu but the breakfast tacos caught my eye. They sounded good and they delivered above and beyond my expectations. Great flavor with enough kick from the cajiun chicken and chorizo to give you a wake up call.

Came here the day after Christmas with a pretty large group. They were able to get us all in for lunch. The staff was very attentive! The food was great. 👍We shared the seasonal donuts holes 🍩and they were so amazing wow. Their drinks are great, the tonics are so delicious. I got the chorizo omelette for my meal and that was delicious 🍳. Comes with toast and leafy greens! Huge portion. Couldn’t finish. Love this place as always!

This is our favorite brunch spot in Kansas City. The food is AMAZING. They do different power juices every so often, and they have all been amazing! The food just tastes so clean and the flavor is amazing! The service has always been great, and we prefer this location to the other few in the area. There is always a wait on the weekends it's totally justified and worth it!

We went for breakfast at the First Watch, 4117 W. 83rd. The first bite of egg bacon omelette was full of salt. Totally inedible. Paul our food server wanted to argue that their omelets have no salt rather then being polite and trading the food for something else. Sorry Paul but there was salt (or something worse) in the omelette. We paid and left but will never go back & I doubt that they care.

Okay food and a server who did the best she could while covering two sides of the restaurant. Our glasses were dirty and there was a hair in the fresh fruit. Worth trying again on a day the staff is less burnt out. ETA: thanks for the reply First Watch. The restaurant isn’t bad, it’s stuck in the same undesirable spot of not having enough people for staff to work comfortably.

Nice location in Leawood. To start, one of the silverware set and one coffee cup was not clean. Once this was corrected, everything went great. The cinnamon pancakes were hot and warm syrup was brought to our table. The 'Pesto Chicken Quinoa Bowl' (Protein-packed quinoa mixed with kale, shredded carrots and house-roasted tomatoes topped with grilled all-natural lemon) was exceptionally good and very fresh. Excellent waitress service. I would give 4.5 if possible. The only negative was my 2nd sentence.

Food is always great, but this location’s service always seems to be lacking. They’re nice enough, but I never seem to get what I want easily. For example, I asked my server if they carried Tabasco sauce and , if so, could I have some. She said she would check if they had any. She didn’t come back but we asked the person who brought our food if they carried Tabasco sauce and she said “they did” and she’d bring me some. Neither person ever came back with Tabasco. When we were leaving, I looked in the window where you can see the kitchen and saw an entire shelf full of Tabasco sauce bottles smh. I don’t want to ask for the same thing over and over again. The First Watch on Metcalf & 91st is just as good with better service.

Ordered the seasonal brisket hash with the eggs scrambled instead, at $15 a plate, what I got looked NOTHING like the advertised photo. Absolutely no meat, just that one small piece on the right side of the plate as shown in the photo. Didn’t even realize it came with tortillas until I looked at the first watch’s website advertising it. Never received tortillas either. So I basically spent $15 for a plate of eggs, potatoes, and bell peppers.

Always tasty consistent food across many locations! Love the skillet hash varieties and the options to do egg whites without extra charge. The current fall skillet hash with the million dollar bacon, roasted veggies and hot honey is delicious!

NEVER had a bad meal here! Such a diverse menu and everything on it is scrumptious, service is always impeccable 👌. Try the avocado toast if you get a chance. You won't be disappointed!!

I’ve eaten in the restaurant twice and ordered once to go. Every time I’ve ordered a different hash bowl, but every time the potatoes have been SEVERELY undercooked and the bowl itself not hot. Maybe lukewarm or even slightly cold. Working in a restaurant that also serves potatoes, I was extremely disappointed. In addition, both times I’ve dined in, the waitresses did not have excellent customer service or even a smile. I didn’t feel very welcome or taken care of. I’ll give them one more shot and order something other than a hash bowl, but at this point wouldn’t recommend :/

Food is always great, and definitely a variety of items to choose from if you have some dietary restrictions. You can substitute or omit whatever you cannot have. Price is ok, but the food is so worth it!!

Love eating at this first watch! Lots of seating so easy to get into and love joining the waitlist before we leave the house. Usually great specials!

Had French toast, which was perfectly cooked. Just wish something else could have been served with the 2 slices of bread without having to pay for a side separately, but I digress, because I caved and ordered the million dollar bacon, because it was perfect with the toast! There was a little smokey incident in the kitchen, but the ventilation system in the packed building did a great job of clearing it out quickly

It's around the corner and the kids love it. If we're not heading into midtown for Sunday brunch, this is our go to. We sit outside as often as we can, and the food is always consistently good. Can you find a good selection of vegetarian, traditional, and other choices here. Their morning juices are a must try. The manager is very hands on and everything seems to flow smoothly. Even when things aren't, he makes it happen.

I went on a busy Sunday morning, and liked that I could go online to wait in line, as I waited for my company. When I went to check in, it was a smooth process, top notch customer service. I would have taken a picture of the food, but I couldn't wait to dive on in. I look forward to going back!

This was my first visit and I was very impressed with the place. I sat at a large booth that was very comfortable. Everything was very clean, including the numerous individual bathrooms. I ordered the Bacado omelet. It came with thick, whole grain, toast, that was honestly the best toast I have ever eaten….seriously. It was amazing. The omelette was excellent. I was surprised when my breakfast came with a salad. I believe it was a spring mix, and it was very fresh and good. For the last few hours, I have been debating going back in the morning, because I can’t get that breakfast salad out of my mind. I don’t know what the dressing was, but it was truly amazing. When I go back, I am going to try to figure out the dressing so I can emulate it at home. The only negative for me, was the price of the soda I ordered. It was $3.69 for a fountain drink, which I think is ridiculous and I will just have water in the future. It’s not that I can’t afford it, but it seems a bit like gouging to me. Aside from my gripe about the soda, everything was top-notch and I really think I will head back tomorrow.

Waffles, bacon and eggs, the traditional a go to. Waffles are light, fluffy, vanilla inside with crispy toasted outside. Eggs were a bit too cooked, ordered overeasy. Check how one wants the eggs cooked.

Great lunch. Ate sandwich special. A bacon, poached egg and tomato sandwich. Fresh loose leaf lettuce was on the side. All for $12. Belgian waffle looked good too. First Watch still serves great Earl Gray hot tea. Excellent service.

My mom, my boyfriend and I go out to breakfast every month on the first Saturday of the month. My mom and I take turns picking where to eat and paying. Today it was my mom's turn to pick and pay and she chose here which I didn't mind because I love their French toast and their chocolate chip pancakes. I had a chocolate chip pancake today and my mom had the triathlete. I don't remember what my boyfriend had. But it was all really good and the staff was so nice, caring, sweet, polite, and kind. Our waiter was awesome and quick with our order. Love it.

I just have to say, my word. This was the first time I’ve been in this beautiful restaurant. The atmosphere, aesthetic, ambiance, and openness of this restaurant is homey, kind, and welcoming. The wait staff are very kind and answer questions very thoroughly and to the point. My waiter AJ was very kind and answered not only questions about the menu and restaurant but also about the area and basic information.
