This restaurant has an excellent location. That's really the only good thing I can say about it. I was with a group of about 30 that had a reservation for their fixed-price menu. I got the meat option. The staff were friendly and helpful, so I disagree with other reviewers that claim otherwise. But the service is unbelievably slow. We got there at 7:30 pm. The last course of the meal was served around 11, 11:30 pm. The dinner took about four and a half hours. To add insult to injury, the food was mediocre if not flat-out bad. The only exceptions were some exquisite potatoes and a divine dessert (ice cream was so good). The pork was dry, tough, and bland. The cheese was just OK. A risotto-like dish was meh. The wine was just OK. You're in Italy. They have some of the best food in the world here. I suggest you go almost anywhere else to find it. Based on my experience, it's not at Il Dek.

Had a conference dinner here with a big group and overall it was a good experience: the food was tasty and the atmosphere outside - on the square next to the castle - hard to beat. The service was friendly and professional, although at points slightly disorganized. In terms of the food and serving, I wasn’t a huge fan of the “sharing” concept and the fact that several dishes were brought on larger plates to share, rather than individually plated. I understand though that this is more feasible for a large group. Overall still recommended!

Very good atmosphere and the setting paid off! Food was good and light. The only downside was the big delays between courses, possibly because we were a very big team of people and the restaurant was not adequately staffed to manage it properly. However, the whole experience was very positive. I believe that if someone goes to the bistro with a few friends it would be perfect!

Terrible attitude, not polite stuff. Did not stay because of disgusting stuff. Were waiting for a wine for 15 min finally payed just for water, and left

Location is amazing, the service is awesome because of Barbara ( she is an amazing lovely person), very tasty food especially “5 verdure allo grill”.

A really lovely restaurant on a beautiful square in Prato which looks out over a castle. The food is good, but not haute cuisine, although the prices are, for Italian standards, quite expensive. The ambience on the terrace is superb, so you can forgive the odd down side from tje kitchen.

The prices aren't cheap, but neither is the quality of the food. The pigeon dish I tried was delicious.

Chicken filet was dry and with bones. Vegetables (endive) were bitter. Service was not nice. They never asked how the food was, could not make a recomandation about the food. I paid a lot for a little bad meat with a little bitter endive.

Good quality food, a bit pricy but everything was delicious! Service was slow, but the staff was very nice and did apologise for the wait time. Tbf it was very busy and they admitted they weren't expecting so many people dining.

DeK is located on the idyllic Piazza Santa Maria delle Carceri, in the heart of Prato's historical center. Although they have a bit of everything from gourmet pizzas and burgers to a delectable collection of prosciutto, they specialize in sophisticated seafood dishes.

Apparently even with an empty terrace you can’t just have a drink because they are a “restaurant”. Right, bye

Good lunch, menu available in English. Lovely views of the Castello dell’imperatore. Outside seating has mist sprayers to cool down a little.

Kind service, amazing chilly vibe, nice tables and lights, they have living lobsters in an aquarium and the whole place is in a huge square with an old castle.

Absolutely delicious. I recommend!
