A cozy Egyptian restaurant who’s trying to offer some of the traditional, authentic dishes at the heart of the German capital. Staff are polite and friendly, but the food is not more than average. I’ve tried two different dishes, Koshary and Hawashi. The first was okay, where’s Hawashi was a horrible story, unless they’re using very good spices, the magic salad with feta and Arabic date doesn’t make any sense next to this sandwich and definitely the portion is very small for such a price.

Fun little place with flavorful dishes at a great price point. Come here for casual, street-food vibes while sitting in their bustling place. They use organic ingredients, especially for their meat dishes and have plenty of vegetarian options as well.

A nice little restaurant with Egyptian, Lebanese and other middle eastern cuisine. I especially recommend Tante Suzy's Tameya, but frankly speaking everything is delicious. Good place to visit if you're looking for vegan options, but there are meat dishes too. There's a table service, but you need to order at the bar. The staff speaks English and you can pay with card.

Egyptian food restaurant that reflects the restaurant owner experience for years in Egypt. I’m happy that Egyptian food inspired him to start his own business. The staff are friendly and professional. Fritz soft drinks are too small for food portions. Kebda Eskandarani is made of chicken liver not Beef liver which is definitely not a Kebda Eskandarani recipe. Don’t order chips you will be disappointed.

What an amazing little restaurant! Very busy, but the amazing staff let us use a reserved table until the next people came along. Extremely friendly staff answered all of our questions in excellent English. The food was second to none; the selection of dishes we chose came quickly, were some of the tastiest vegan food we've had and were excellently priced. We had a selection of small plates and they were snuffled up soquickly I forgot to take a picture until we finished. The restuarant is small, but perfectly formed and very colourfully decorated. because it is small, I resume it can get very busy so it may be worth booking. I don't think you'll be dissapointed

Everything was so tasty! Honestly I went in without much expectation because the place didn’t look super appealing. But the food wowed me. The rice in particular was very delicious! The place was quite small and the seats were uncomfortable, but well, I guess that’s kind of authentic street food vibes :D

Great authentic and flavorful food and very friendly service. I had the Koshari and Egyptian style meatballs - it doesn't happen often that I come across new entirely flavors but this combination tastes unique! Wine was good too.

very tasty food and atmosphere is very nice. However the portion sizes are a bit small. My husband and I ordered 2 mains + appetizer and it wasn’t enough, so we ordered another main dish afterwards. For 45eur, I felt like that was a lot. But otherwise very tasty

Such a cool place. It says oriental street food, but in reality it tastes like food your momma made, if your momma is from somewhere in the middle east. Loved the overall style and design as well 💛

Excellent food! We took a good variety of warm and cold mezze and the date-walnut and feta salad. Together with some rosé and white wine. Small restaurant, reservations are necessary. Very kind staff!

This place brings Egyptian street food to the next levels. We order Koshary cause it seems the signature here and it was good! Tastes more fresh than in Cairo. The Hummus is pretty delicious as well but the bread is far from aish baladi (traditional street bread in Egypt) . We try their homemade lemonade, the mint with lemon is very refreshing and the rose with orange is amazing. The staff is friendly and speak English cause their German bit limited but they always nice and helpful. Price is okay might be due to the location.

This place is busy. It’s better to make a reservation even though I was lucky to get a table without one. The food was really good and I enjoyed getting to know something else.

What a delightful surprise! The food was delicious (with excellent vegetarian and vegan options) and owner Michael was great to chat with. Liked the touch of the curated playlists on the menus as well. Saving this place to return to often!

The food tastes great and the restaurant offers something not commonly available in Berlin. The food is very flavourful and unique tasting. The roasted eggplant was especially delicious. Could do with improving the price/quantity ratio.

Egyptian restaurant who’s trying to offer some of the traditional, authentic dishes. Friendly stuff, nice atmosphere however the food is in my opinion only average. I have Egyptian roots and was really excited about koshary and tameya but got slightly disappointed. Koshary was tasty but was not close to the original. Tameya was unfortunately too processed and salty (see pic) - rest of dishes were good.

Very affordable and with a calm relaxing ambiance. The staff is really friendly. For halal, it's better to confirm with them, but there are plenty of vegetarian options. We grabbed an evening snack there and enjoyed a great time.

...after following their Facebook page there was no question where to have dinner. 😉 ...cozy tiny restaurant with Egyptian Street food as I know it from Alexandria...for sure a must go-to in Berlin and those Tamiya were as good as mine at home, but be aware if you are hungry you need to stop afterwards at McDonald's or similar and sadly way too expensive for the poor peoples dishes. 3 tiny Tamiya with a small scoop of salad and a tiny piece of flatbread for 9,90€...well...taste was good, but for sure not again and the pricing for such dish too exaggerated. I guess they are lucky that Berlin is a big city with many tourists and inhabitants otherwise in another city there were no future for them.

Never thought I would say that one of the best Egyptian foods I ate were in Berlin not Cairo! The staff are very friendly. The portions are great. I would recommend everything in the menu, but their version of Um Ali is so unique.

Authentic Egyptian food feels a bit like home, staff are friendly and the place is very cozy, chairs are very similar local Egyptian street cafes. I am a regular customer now since my first visit in October 2021. Highly recommended.

Best Egyptian food experience I had so far. I am Egyptian and can confirm the food is authentic, tried Koshary, Taamya, Sakalans and the coffee and all were amazing. Stuff is so kind. Totally recommended for Egyptians who wants a taste of home and all nationalities who wants to try genuine Egyptian cousin.

Tremendous! Fabulous tasty food served by lovely people in a great little setting. I don’t leave many reviews but this placed deserves a special mention. It was popular even on a boring regular Monday evening which tells you how good people think this place is.
