The worst experience I ever had. I lived in 10 people mixed room for a week. There were many long term guests who can't afford rent in Berlin lived there. They are not travelers, they spent life there. You can imagine how dirty the room would be. The housekeeper only changed the sheet when guest leave. Environment was really terrible. A guy who slept above me brought a girl to his bed. She spilled beer next to my bed. I listened their whisper and kissing when I tried to sleep.

Quite Comfy and quiet. People respect each other. No lousy people on phone. Nice view if you are on the 4th floor but you pay for it with the stairs as there is no elevator 😂. I took one star off because there is no microwave as I had brought some food from home, had to eat it cold 😩

Reception were so friendly and helpful which was a relief as I didn't have great experiences with this in Berlin. I was permitted to check-in early which was really, really useful and I was grateful. The location is perfect, a few mins from the station and I walked to some of the main sights from there which is the best way to see town! Unfortunately, it was very noisy at night and in the morning but I guess that's applicable to most hostels. The WiFi was good in both rooms and reception and I really liked the vibe of the communal areas during my one night stay. Met a few interesting folks. There's a secure room in which to leave your luggage if you have a later flight. My single room was tiny but had everything one needed... I'm on the fence about value for money. I'd stay again but wouldn't face the courtyard and would request the highest floor or not at all due to noise levels.

everything you'd expect from a nice hostel: - cheap - tidy - rooms with a table, chairs and lockers - hot water for a tea or anything (yet only in the lobby, not in the rooms) - modern and clean bathrooms - non stop service

One of the worst hostels I have been in patchwork years. Beds and reception was okay and friendly but rest was horrible. WiFi with no Internet or very minimum speed that for opening Google Maps was better use mobile network. Bathroom and toilets were extremely dirty but that coukd be also hosts.

We called this hostel to make sure we can stay there bc we needed only one “transit” night to stay somewhere. The receptionist confirmed that we can. When we arrived, there was another person at the reception who told us that we cannot actually stay. We are very furious and disappointed for the “service” of this hostel.

I can't complain to much about the hotel. Staff was polite, prices are good and the rooms and bathrooms a generely clean. The unpleasant experience where the other guests. Loud, inconsiderate and rude. A lot of drunks and party people.

The guy in the lobby was definitely not happy go lucky, which I was sincerely hoping for. Location is good though, room’s okay

A very convenient place, very good prices. Rooms were clean, toilets and showers as well. The people at the reception were very nice and hospitable. very close to the railway station. The only problem is that wifi didn’t work in the rooms but only in the lobby for me, overall a good experience for a fair price.

Good place to stay but the shared bathroom is not enough. Though the toilets mentioned "Don't lock" but evreybody does that. And most importantly the male toilet doesn't have a separate door which is why the whole bathroom was found closed most of the time.

I loved being in this hostel. Indeed, the employees are very nice and really friendly. Moreover, the guests are friendly too. I loved the vibe. About the rooms, it was more than okay. If you want to travel alone and don't have a great budget, this place is the perfect one! Thank you, and maybe see you soon!

A low-budget alternative, right across from the Charlottenburg railway station, which makes it convenient to get to the airport. It has a dorm vibe, and the private room I took was tiny. Furthermore, I came at 3 pm. for check-in, but my room wasn't ready for another hour. There are plenty of other cheap hotels around, and I haven't checked them out, but if you want to stay in that area, maybe it's worth it to do some research. But if you enjoy the hostel vibe and you want to intermingle with the guests, you could do worse.

We had a terrible experience in this hostel. I arrived with a friend at the hostel before check-in time and since the previous guests of the room had all left, they said they could give us the key. The guy at the desk speaks Spanish, but very broken skills. We proceeded to lock our luggage in the lockers of the room with our own lock and told the guy very upfront that we had locked our luggage there and then we left for the day. When we came back at 9pm we arrived at our room to see that the personal at the hostel had broken our lock and the locker was wide open. They deliberately admitted they had broken the lock because they thought we were people from the previous night, when they knew we were the only ones that had been there that day and we had told them. Apart from that, the rest of the guests are very inconsiderate, since there are only very few public toilets and even tho it's forbidden to lock the bathroom, there was one woman that felt completely entitled to occupy the bathroom for more than half an hour. I would suggest removing the locks from the bathrooms. They tried to bribe us with a better room but we didn't take it and asked for a refund. I only felt bad for the Spanish speaking lady at the desk that night, she was helpful and caring but felt really nervous. I understand that some guests try to stay illegally past check-out time, but that's not enough of an excuse. They should have taken care of cleaning the room and checking it before we entered, because after we locked our personal stuff with our own lock, they came and were completely careless. I would never recommend an experience here or come back again.

Cannot recommended this place. Wifi never works, lots of sleazy guests, and staff nor guests seem attentive in keeping the bathrooms in decent condition. The only OK aspect is that it’s outside of Charlottenburg station, but there are other hostels next to it that are likely better than this slum.

The location is good, only 20 minutes to the city centre by train. However, the building itself is old and not maintained properly. The room where I was living smelled of sweat since I first stepped inside. The toilets need to be cleaned regularly, and the showers are made weirdly, so you will not have privacy, even though they have curtains/doors with frosted glass.

The common spaces could definitely be improved, very unharmonious and little effort in organizing tables for example. The worst thing is the internet service, it doesn't matter where you are in the building, the signal is low and so is the speed.

Very nice place near the highway, train station and easy to commute to Messe Berlin. They also have good food and hot shower. Just 5 minutes from Berlin’s famous Kurfürstendamm boulevard, Happy go Lucky Hotel + Hostel is located in Charlottenburg. It enjoys fast connections to all major sights, the ICC exhibition center, and Tegel Airport. Free WiFi is available in public areas.

Cheap prices but they never answer their phone even though there is someone working in the reception. Rooms are small, unpleasant and everything seems cheap ( probably is). I expected more from what we paid.

Amazing place, cool staff, best price in Berlin for sure!If you come for clubbing is a little bit away from the main clubs(30-40 min with Sbahn).

Nice price, our room was ok, but it is very hot in there and only a little of ventilation. If you stay there in a middle of a summer, better prepare for hot nights and waking up in sweat.

It's okay if you want to look for a cheap accommodation that has a place to rest your head. I did not particularly like the place.

Visible menstrual stains on one of the matresses in our room and beds that are so loud with your every move, that waking up your peers is 100% guarante. However, the breakfasts were really nice and the place gets quite friendly.

Staff is in generally friendly except the black guy who works in reception with "construction wear" or something like that. Toilets are often dirty. Wifi is a disaster! Very slow wifi and sometimes not available at all. What a shame! It's a shame that costumers to complain for poor internet in 2022.

Hey, it's an hostel, but our room was clean just as the sanitaries. Bicycles can be rent or your iwn parked inside of the area. Breakfast 7.50 euro is okay. Take Ohropax for a quiet sleep, its noisy on the weekends, but that's normal for an hostel. Fridge for your own food and dairies. Toaster, microwave and minioven for free 24/7 as well as a waterkettle.

Not too bad, but the room I was in was a bit smelly, and I have a higher tolerance that most people so that says something.

Not for everyone but if you're flexible it's hard to believe how they are offering such a nice place for so cheap!

Fantastic, we booked this hotel very last minute and even though we were supposed to have a shared bathroom, we actually got our own private bathroom 🚻 😀 the view from the room was nice and we could open the window fully which is very important for me when it's hot. There is no lift, only stairs and it's quite a way to the top floor. The location for us wasn't an issue as we had a car but it is a little bit out the way from the east side of Berlin however its pretty close to brandenberger etc. In my opinion. The metros are cheap, on time and quick! We are a couple, but for friends I imagine it's perfect as there's lots of people always chilling downstairs in the cafe/bar nice community of people. Thanks guys!

A budget friendly hostel. Guest services is good.

  • 1/5 Gualtiero 4 months ago on Google • 1 review
The man with the long beard at the reception is very unpolite and does not consider the guests' needs. Like working or studying in peace: the living room towards the closed kitchen is closed without reason. Moreover the Wi-Fi doesn't really work properly. The guests in the only room of the hall are often noisy. The atmosphere and the environment are decadent. The rooms are often neglected and dirty. The bathrooms are a bit better.

Staff are so friendly! Customer service was on high level, especially thanks to reception guy Noah, he transferred me to another room by my request without any problems! If i’ll come to Berlin again, will come here for sure. In general if you’re looking for budget travel, the place for you is ok! 👍🏻
