This is a hidden gem of a museum. It is full to the brim with fantastically curated, interestingly described and absolutely unique exhibits. The lovely guide who escorted us and explained the artefacts to us was fantastic and helped with our many questions. We had a genuinely superb visit.

A fascinating museum about Lancashire soilders through history. They have a research side so you can search for family members who served with the regiments.

Went here on a rainy Saturday afternoon and it was great. The volunteers were super informative and were happy to show you round and provided an added depth to the experience. The amount of artefacts they have is amazing to see. Would highly recommend. However make sure you take ID to be given a visitors pass for entry to the museum as it is on the barracks.

A wealth of ww1 and ww2 artifacts. Also earlier uniforms etc. Records kept are unbelievable. The chapel and conference room are a must. Well worth the small price they charge.

Can't rate the guys here highly enough. Thanks to them I found out so much about my Great Uncle and his service on D-Day and in Normandy that we had no idea about. They also helped us apply for his war records. Many thanks!

I would like to say a big thank you to the 2 gentlemen (sorry forgot their names) that helped me trace my Grandads world war 1 records. Coming from Preston I thought his records would be at the museum but found out he was stationed in Kent but these kind gentlemen still took the trouble to look for me. A very interesting place and well worth a visit. Also free but donations are appreciated.

Small museum but plenty of information and very interactive for the younger ones

My 5 year old little boy loves it here, he is army obsessed at the moment. There was a staff member on hand to answer his many questions. There are exhibits you can touch and dress up in which is always a bonus with children in tow. Its a nice little museum, we've only spent around an hour here at each visit. As it is a working military barracks security is high and to get in you need to give a few personal details, car reg and a form of ID from one person in the party at the gate.
