Hard to believe that this sort of area is right on our doorstep and a half hour drive 🚗 away. Easy parking, toilets and cafe open and a good easy walk 🚶‍♂️ around for an hour. Enjoyed every minute.

I could not believe the amount of trees that had been felled. A completely different look once you get up there. As usually great walk with the children over Christmas. It was very busy and the cafe was heaving.

Ideal for an ice cream or cold drink after a lovely hike in summer. Or a local made cake. And in autumn and spring a bacon butty, soup, and hot drink after a morning hike. Lovely.

Gosh this was a magical visit for the grandchildren and adults and the dogs were in heaven! From a snake that you follow till you find it's head all carved out to the children's playground all the little twig tents, the little streams, the top of the fell oh my goodness I can go on for hours selling this place. If your looking for a fun day out then this is the place for you.

Beacon fell. Whats not to love about the great outdoors. Go find all the superb wooden statues and wriggly snake or go to the top and take a gander wide and far. Dont forget oodles of free parking and if you want to park near the visitor centre its a quid all day who can argue with that.

We visit here a few times each year and we always love it. A wonderful walk through the woods, as easy or bit more challenging as you like depending which paths you want to take and lots to take in especially at the top the views are fantastic. Lovely area for kids to play and picnic as well and plenty of parking too. The visitor centre is always welcoming and the toilets are clean as well. Great day out with family to get some fresh air in absolutely stunning surroundings.

This is a fabulous place that brings back memories from my child hood. It's a gentle climb to the summit surrounded by endless paths and treks through woodland. A perfect place for kids, dogs and anyone wanting some fresh air! The carpark is cheap and affordable, the visitors centres is informative of the different animals and plants that can be found and staff are always pleasant and friendly. The cafe serve a selection of savoury and sweet foods, cold and hot drinks with indoor and outdoor seating. Through the woodlands you will be able to spot many carved animal friends.

Beacon Fell has some lovely routes to walk around. The cafe is OK, fresh home made cakes, ice cream including " doggy Ice cream" with seating inside & out. Public WC is available close by but you do have to pay for car parking though.

Beacon fell is just mind blowing, when at the summit you can see for miles on a clear day, you can see barrow in furness, morecambe Bay, the lake district, Blackpool Tower, each view is breathtaking, the countryside views are beautiful, its a real gem if you have this on your doorstep like I do, and makes you thankful for the opportunity to go visit it and take it all in, there are even Christmas trees growing naturally on some of the trails

Lovely woodland walk, great for dog walkers & people with kids also. The cafe has a wide selection of sandwiches & cakes, definitely recommend, reasonably priced as well

Nice gentle gradient from the visitor centre up to the summit. You can do a circuit path around the top. Bird feeders in view of the windows of the visitor centre. The mist was down when I visited! Maybe I’ll come back on a clearer day & give it the extra star.

This place is well worth the visit. My wife and I come here regularly now. It has beautiful forest walls and specular views when you reach the summit, though the summit is not too demanding, just a gradual incline. It's so peaceful here listening to the wildlife in the forest and they have a nice little cafe and visitor centre.

Great location for a walk. Nice little cafe, and plenty of parking, some paid, some free, but the charge is only £1 for the day anyway. It's a shame that a lot of the trees have been cut down recently as the hill looks a little bleak.
