You WILL keep going back. The place is small but they do have dining in options downstairs and upstairs too. A lot of people do come in to take away too so don’t be too concerned about the queue. Honestly! Amazing food here, worth every penny. Great customer service, great food & great atmosphere. A must visit if you are new to the city and even if you’re not 😊 Please click the thumbs up if you found this review helpful.

Nice place to chillout and get something to eat. Food here is very tasty and well priced. Great to order: Chicken shawarma platter, mix grill platter, goat curry (spicy and delicious).Really good chai tea. Enjoy the good vibes

I always really enjoy going to Coco's. The owner is very pleasant, the staff are lovely and the food has always been a straight 10/10 for me. I have always enjoyed each item tried. This time I had the hummus appetiser and one of the special menu items. South African Boerewors Sausage and chakalaka beans and rice. Very special indeed. I hope this appears on the specials again next time I am there. The strawberry and cajun chicken salad is also a big hit. Thank you!

I visited today for the second time.. I was very impressed with the food and thought that the flavouring for all items was exceptional and very authentic. The only reason I have left a 4-star review and not 5 is because I (unfortunately) found a hair in the rice with the jerk chicken portion, which meant I couldn’t finish it. I know most people would just slate a place as a result but I have to be honest, the food was perfect aside from this one oversight - I have worked in catering myself and know mistakes can happen and this review is purely to give the owner some genuine and constructive feedback. I hope they can perhaps reflect on this minor lapse - nonetheless, I definitely do intend to revisit.

Incredible!! I can't believe how good the food is here. I went for the Bob Marley burger. The burger was delicious, the chips were done just right and the little pot of marinade on the side was one of the best sauces I've ever tasted.

Good food, fast service. Highly recommended, albiet salty, umami overload. When we had our first bite at Coco's, we wondered, why haven't we been here before? Classic, Better late than never moment. Coco's is the most recommended restaurant in Preston by the young brigade. Close to UCLAN, great food, vibrant ambience, affordable and food from around the world. Ticks all the right boxes. Open on all days except Sunday, we visited on a Tuesday late afternoon for lunch. There was some delay in placing our order as they very politely explained that they are short staffed at this hour of the day, which was understandable. Few sips into our drinks and the food arrived, rather very quickly and blew our minds. The chimichangas were our favourite. Crusty, flaky, cheesy and bursting with flavours. Let's put it this way, take your tastiest pizza/burrito, fold it upon itself and deep fry it. Yumm! Although it was starter, we started and ended our meal with it. For the main course, we had the goat curry and jerk chicken. Both were mouth watering and very flavourful. If one likes BBQ sauce and crispy, flavourful fries, the jerk chicken should satisfy you. And if you are from the tropics and can handle the overload of spice and umami in your meat curry, go for the Goat curry. It reminded us of home although we come from different parts of India. We especially liked the rice which was served with the curry, it could stand out on its own as well. The drinks, which were imported bottled beverages, were different and refreshing. We chose a hibiscus-lemonade drink from Calypso and a root beer from Australia. We were told that they will be changing their menu soon, so the brown stew was not available. I would say 4.5 stars out of 5 for the entire experience. Half a star only cause mid way during the meal we felt that the salt content of the mains was extremely high which I am assuming were the dishes that we had ordered. The next time we would go for less salty options and maybe an extra bowl of greens/salad. Needless to say, we will be visiting this place over and over again.

Loaded nachos are some of the best I’ve had. The rice and curry is quite mild but decent amount of flavour. The pasta is also nice Would recommend a visit for the nachos and the other stuff is alright

I can't think of any reason why I wouldn't give this place 5 stars ! I visited on a Saturday lunchtime, already a few groups in. The menu accommodates most tastes. Our group had Greek salad, Venezuelan bean burger and crispy duck burger.....but there were so many alternatives! Big portions, full of flavour and delivered speedily to the table. All made fresh with the chilled tones of Bob himself in the background. The side of fries with the house speciality sauce topped off a fab meal. Very reasonable costs, have paid double for less. Would definitely recommend and will certainly go again. The place does take out too!

i have no idea how they do it all from one tiny kitchen but the food is always 10/10 the opening times are confusing as they seem to open and close whenever depending on the day but if you are lucky enough to go then do go!

Food was sooooo good. Huge serving sizes at a great price! I had the jambalaya and it was incredible. I couldn't finish it all and it only cost a tenner.

Good little place in Preston city centre. Well known. I was expecting the food to be better for how much I've heard of this place. Order at counter, table service. No alcohol served.

Small Cafe type restaurant, food all cooked fresh and piping hot. Family run, everybody working hard to satisfy the diners. Very impressed with portions too, and the prices. 5 people, 5 starters and 4 mains for about 60 pounds. Very happy with our evening thank you

Attended as a large group of 16. The service received throughout was excellent. The owner kept in touch with me prior to our attendance, and allowing some last minute changes we'd made. On arrival we were invited to our own floor which I wasn't expecting but was brilliant. They patiently waited for us to be ready and once we were the food started coming up by staff who all had a smile on their faces and made us feel very welcome. The food was incredible, the flavours were amazing, the portions plentiful, and good value. The menu is very diverse too, if you can't find something you like, you need to give up trying to eat at all. I was a little concerned that perhaps our group may be a bit too much to manage, especially with the varied meals being ordered, but everything went smoothly. An absolutely perfect experience, couldn't have asked for better. A*****. The owner needs to be proud of his business, and the staff proud of themselves for the service given. I wish all at Coco's the best 😊

Simply the best food in Preston, I go every time I'm there. The Jerk chicken is wonderful, as is the goat curry, and the Specials are... special. Nice people , great food at a decent price, what's not to like?

One of the best places to eat in Preston, all items on the menu are lovely. They are Halal aswell. I tend to order their burgers when I go.

I ordered the Vietnamese Chicken Burger, Redskin fries (essentially sweet potato fries) and Coleslaw, I hadn't planned to order so much but the minimum £10 spend on cards is particularly disappointing. Food was served relatively quickly, and was super tasty. My only criticism was that thigh meat seemed an interesting choice for a burger as it the meat was tough and the burger was falling apart in my hands. It was tasty but messy. All in all a solid meal, almost perfection if it wasn't for the minimum card spend and the choice of either breast or thigh meat

Fantastic little place. The food here tastes amazing and is at an affordable price. Staff are very friendly there is enough seating. I reccomend the soul burger, absolutely delicious. Bonus is that is it halal! The fries here are also the best fries I have ever ate! So good for just 1.50. Only downsides are it is cash only and they don't serve tap water. They do however have a good range of drinks to select from.

A literal WOW! Can’t believe how good the food is here, I got the BBQ chicken thighs and the sauce is like nothing I’ve ever tried before So fresh and the value for money is amazing! Can’t stop thinking about it & can’t wait to be back!

I had the curried goat, a bit salty, but thoroughly enjoyed it and reasonably priced. Decor reminded me of Jamaica. Staff polite and didn't have to wait long for our food. Will definitely be back.

It’s a no-go for Coco as this place has sadly lost its soul. I hadn’t been to this place in a long time but I remember it being so much better. The katsu certainly looked the part but sadly the taste was similar to an M&S ready meal. I’ll be sticking to Fresh N Fast and Jaffa from now on!

Helpful and friendly service, great menu with variety of interesting food (and drinks). I really enjoyed the special chicken Jambalaya, heard other diners saying the prawns were the best they had ever eaten. Recommended.

Went here yesterday for the boneless half and half. Heard a lot of good things about this place. Eaten in and the place is so chilled! The nachos where really good! But the boneless half and half was full of grease and gave me a really bad belly all day and night. Didn’t even finish it because it was that greasy. Such a shame. I will try it again in the future at some point. Maybe they just had an off day.

The food was incredible. A recommendation from a friend. It looks fairly unassuming, but that adds to it's charm. The food cannot be beat, for the price, authenticity and flavour. Great selection of traditional soul food, and some great twists. Definitely making another visit when I'm up north again!

Absolutely amazing! Ok the location/parking/size of place and general decor leaves a lot to be desired but the food is spot on. Full of flavour, great portion sizes and well priced. This defiantly has things you don't see on any other menu and fully understand why it was so busy in a weekday. Highly recommended.
