Visited twice and both times the food was great, full of flavour and will definitely be back. I like the variety you get from choosing a few different dishes at a time. Food is served tapas style so comes out when its ready which is great as each dish is fresh and hot every time. Cocktails are delicious and add a bit of fun to the evening! Servers are very attentive and professional.

Seeing all these 5 star reviews got me excited for my meal here yesterday but, unfortunately, the food didn’t live up to my expectations. I am vegan and my partner is vegetarian and our food was very subpar, I’ve come across places like this before which serve delicious meat dishes but seem to treat the veggie options as a second thought. The service was amazing, which saved the night, but the homemade bread was very dense, heated up bread rolls which didn’t taste homemade at all and the Thai noodles were bland, cheap-tasting and had seemingly random vegetables in it like stir-fried chunks of tomato. The cocktails were quite nice and the price was decent but overall I wouldn’t recommend :(

Visited today and ordered 4 different plates of which all tasted great and were cooked perfectly. I've been here previously and enjoyed the cocktails but trying the food was definitely a great idea today.

Booked a table for 10 friends celebrating, got a comfy Booth for us all and a giant table filled with delicious food, amazing cocktails and fabulous service by Prezzi aswell the team of staff who catered to our every need and then some!! WILL 1000% BE BACK AGAIN- well worth the trip from Blackpool.

Been here a few times, most recently for a wedding, and it's always exceptional. The food was delicious and their selection of drinks is amazing. Would highly recommend their homemade gin- there are so many different flavours and any I've tried have tasted incredible. Definitely not to be missed if you're in Preston!

We wanted to go out as a family and took ages to choose somewhere to eat. The menu looked like there was something for everyone and there really was. We was a table of 7 and we had an absolutely great time, tons of food 'tapas style but bigger' there wasnt a dish we didn't like and polished off as much as we could. It was lovely and quiet but i hope we brought some fun and cheer to 1842. We had 2 servers, Claudia who made the absolute best Mojito i have ever tasted and we cruise a lot, this is where the best bar tenders seem to be... at sea. I have the worst sense of humour ever and Claudia's colleague Eva was so good and even though she was greek she got ALL MY JOKES to which my family was astounded by. After the meal we retired to a comfy booth and stayed for another hour or so, we just didn't want to leave. If you want something tasty to eat and a great time in great surroundings with fantastic staff, this is the place for you

This place really surprised me. Exceptionally good restaurant and bar. Attention to detail is fantastic. Food, drinks, ambience - all spot on. Amazing function room upstairs, really well thought out, much bigger than I expected. Can't wait to go back

I recently arranged a hen party at 1842 for 26 people, and we all had a fantastic time. The food was spot on, and the cocktails were fantastic. Big thank you to Stephanie and Brandon and the staff who served us on the night. They made sure everything ran smoothly. I would 100% recommend this venue for a large group.

Great drinks and really enjoyed the Tapas style/blended menu. Interior design one of the best in Preston. Very attentive and friendly staff. Will definitely return.

This is an absolute star find! Outstanding service every time, great value for money and a lovely atmosphere. Cocktails are amazing too. Good choice of food, small plates are my favourite and such good value for money. Will keep comic back.. Also do GF menu.

Really pleasant evening, the lady singing was amazing, and the DJ after was superb... quick service and really clean. Couldn't fault it. Polite staff and really nice decor... last time I was here was 21 years ago, will try to be back a bit more frequently now.... despite living in Devon!

Absolutely amazing bar . Highly recommended. Enjoyed a couple of drinks in here after our team got battered by Preston NE . Special shout out to staff member Gareth who went out of his way to pick up our spirits . Lovely clean place , plenty of space , great staff . Our first visit in Preston but if we ever come back we will be popping in here

What a fantastic place!! What was the corn exchange is now 1842. Welcoming and spacious with a lovely decor, we where really impressed with everything from the menu to the service to the extensive cocktails menu . Food superb, menu that's got something a little different and original compared to most, staff extremely attentive, atmosphere chilled and relaxing. All round 5 stars. I'd recommend a lunch here

Called in for a quick bite to eat yesterday. Needed foid and thought we would give it a go. We we're served by Eva, who was very friendly and efficient. We had the chicken and rice, plus american cheese burger. I have to say the food was very tasty, plus a decent enough portion sizes for me and my wife. You can double up the burger and there are some excellent sides if you are very hungry. The burger is the best I've tasted in years, absolutely full of flavour. I will be returning to try the tapas menu soon.

Attended the Stein and Sausage event for Oktoberfest. Outstanding customer service with the staff answering all questions regarding each dish and went through the beers on offer. Beautiful bar and decor with a very varied selection of cocktails. I only giving 4 stars however as I wasn’t told when I made my booking the event starts at 4 and I made my booking at 2. Well I was informed they needed the table back just as the event was starting which is a shame :( Good food and drink reasonably priced, nice decor, and great staff just a shame about not being told when the event starts but I will certainly return. Cheers guys

Amazing place to take a drink, many things to choose in the menu, therefore the portions are small so the recomendation is to choose many of them.

The bar is really smartly done out inside. There's a really nice menu, tons of cocktails and draft beer and cider. The staff were great and everything is reasonably priced. Felt very covid safe as well. I'm definitely going back here!

Really nice place, modern clean and super nice staff. Dogs allowed in if well behaved and they bring water for the doggy. Nice food, very eclectic and inexpensive. Excellent for lunch.

Really good food (2/3 small plates each makes a good meal!) And nice drinks but music was very loud for dinner - great is your just out for a drink though!

Decide to go back to 1842,after 18 months of not going out. What a disappointing difference. Instead of being able to eat lovely food and chat among people, we felt like we where sitting in the middle of a night club having a meal. The music was so loud you couldn't here what the serving staff were saying, this didn't help them having thick black maks on.. I understand covid regs but please turn the music low so people can at least hear you... The service was dreadful I waited 40mins for a gin that didn't turn up at all. The food on the whole was okay the sad part was half of my muscles were still closed, the staff however did take them off the bill. Would I recommend it for eating? No definite not unless they took out the DJ or at least turned the music down

Been here twice since lockdown was lifted. Both very different experiences. First time I went, the service was amazing - staff were really attentive. Food was nice, even though we only had snacks. Cocktails are pricey for the size but they are yummy. Second time I went, I was disappointed with the whole experience, the table we were sat on was like a park bench with a mini barrel and there was no 1 metre distance between us and the girls next to us. Minimal apology for this too when the other party complained. If it was my first experience I wouldn't go back. However the decor is lovely and the staff were great the first time round, so I'll definitely go again. Keen to try the food.
