Friendly staff. We lost something very valuable. The staff went out of their way to look for it. They found it and kept it safe until the courier picked it up. Well done! There was however room service menus in the room but were told when we phoned to order that they do not do room service.

Checked it was smooth. When we realised Our room didn't have a balcony, we immediately went back to the reception & they moved us to the one with balcony 👌 We also requested a bar fridge on arrival which was delivered at our room immediately🤗 Great location, great value for money.

I was rather disappointed by the service. Everyone at our table received their coffee and drinks. I requested a glass of tap water, reminded the waitress once and asked another waiter too. 3 asks and never received my water. Is this about having to wash a glass at no charge? I would have been happy to wash it myself!! Couldn't be about the tip as there were 6 of us that ordered twice!!

Overall, our stay was good. However, never found a supposed 3 star hotel with no landline phone in the room. To get frontdesk you have to use your cell and phone the hotel. Due to hotel's unique curved shape, street noise and people talking in the parking lot and mall opposite the hotel, echo's very load into the rooms, especially in early morning hours when one need to sleep. Their breakfeast and restaurant is brilliant.

Beautiful hotel. However, City Lodge needs to look at their sewerage system as they use 2ply toilet paper which cannot flush. Then also they need to invest in a bar fridge in their rooms as we had goods that we could not keep cold to not having a fridge in the room.

Nice hotel and rooms are clean and neat. Really everything you need for an overnight. At Lynnwood, the service and attention from the workers were really excellent.

Service from all Staff was excellent. Went out of their way to accommodate any extra needs. Towels need to be replaced - old and hard. Overall, a great place to stay.

My stay at Lynnwood Bridge City Lodge was extremely disappointing. Throughout the night, the fire alarm went off four times, causing a significant disturbance. Without a phone in the room, I had to search for the lodge's number online and was told by the receptionist that they needed to investigate the cause on each floor before determining whether an evacuation was necessary. This process repeated four times, creating a highly unsettling experience. To add to the frustration, the manager did not appropriately acknowledge the seriousness of the situation. It raised concerns about how the lodge could effectively communicate with guests in the event of a real emergency, particularly given the lack of a robust response during the repeated fire alarm incidents. Considering the price of R1570 per night, the overall experience was far below expectations. The safety and comfort of guests should be a top priority for any accommodation provider, and I was deeply disappointed by the lack of professionalism and care in handling this situation.

Rooms were nice and warm, but I had a balcony that i could not use. There waiters and waitresses and kitchen staff are super friendly. Their smiles make the food taste great. Keep it up !!

The place location is great. I like surrounding restaurants with pleasant ambient. The hotel staff is mainly friendly and helpful. I remove one star due to location of my room. It was exactly above the back storage and waste area, not pleasant at all.

Room is a little outdated but clean, neat and tidy. At check in I scanned a QR with a menu from the restaurant. The food looked good. At the restaurant I received an A4 piece of paper with a few meals. I then asked the waiter for the proper menu and he had all sorts of stories like the menu changed thats why he brought the paper. The tables next to me was dirty and remained like that until I left. I received my wrap after 80min with old lettuce. Will not recommend the restaurant. If you are looking for a clean bed, you might be happy. Reception staff is friendly and helpful.

It's very clean, super busy and perfectly located for business trips. I wish they could use more technology to manage checking in and out processes. You will never complain about cleanliness and odd smells from the previous user. They clean up really well.

Staff at this premises are extremely friendly and very accommodating. I especially enjoy the breakfast. The lady who makes the eggs is amazing at omelette and eggs and they come out perfect everytime. Congratulations City Lodge Lynnwood, please never change this service. The rooms are a little tired and could do with a refresh. My toilet was a bit broken one of the flush buttons failed but not a big deal so didn't bother reporting it. The same day laundry service is extremely good value for money and the clothes come back in excellent condition. One suggestion for an upgrade in this hotel would be mini fridges in the rooms. It could generate extra income for the property if stocked with minibar items, and keep drinks cold in room for the guest. Its annoying that the load shedding causes the AC to switch off as then the room gets really hot. But this is outside of the hotels remit.

This is an excellent hotel. The best thing is the professional and friendly service. Check in was quick and efficient. There was one issue (not the hotels fault) and it was sorted quickly. They have good board rooms, a little but adequate gym and a nice buffet breakfast. It is right next to a centre which has a good selection of restaurants. All in all a good hotel for business in Pretoria and surrounds.

Comfortable but sometimes ill-isolated from other bedrooms. And... what is this strange idea to separate the bed side from the toilet side with a open window that can only be closed by a rolling shutter. - come closer to me honey - sorry pooping - okay. Go further away. All romance is gone. I'll just take another room Service very kind. Breakfast good. Coffee a bit weak.

The food you order is not from the restaurant but a external restaurant, my burger was fine but my friends noodles had very little chicken and we did not receive knife and forks. Place location great service OK.

We got there and had been told that the rooms were all booked out despite is having a reservation through Agoda. The front desk was very unwilling to assist until we called for a manager at which point they checked properly, found our reservation AND offered us an upgraded room for the hassle. What happened to the rooms being fully booked? Dishonesty that's what. The room was beautiful. The pillows were terribly worn out. Breakfast was lovely and the restaurant staff are wonderful. The location is great. Note, during load shedding the generator keeps the lights and TV on but not the aircon and on a hot night, it is pretty uncomfortable.

PROS: A clean hotel lobby, with basic / dated rooms, a good location, average price, Has safe underground parking but full of pillars and tight turns. Thoughtfully, they offer complimentary ice tea and a water dispenser in lobby. Nearby Lynnbridge shops close early, particularly on weekends, and some are vacant: CONS; Sent to assess the location as a potential conference venue, after a long 24 hours of travel, front desk couldn’t initially find my reservation: they have an unusually long and inefficient check in process, a PhD dissertation of key board clicks later, re-entering all the details found on my online reservation: This was exacerbated by the single desk clerk serving two other queue jumping customers in the middle of my check in process, while other staff looked on. Not courteous, not rude, just the basic motions, no welcome, greeting, or good day, or thanks, enjoy your stay, etc. No shampoo in room, no face-clothes, a used tube of body lotion, shower leaks on floor, missing light bulbs, small TV, patio missing a table, and no USB plugs or any outlets near bed to charge devices. ISSUE / DEAL BREAKER : Despite reserving, requesting and pre-paying for a non-smoking room, I was put into a smoking room, which came with and smells like an ash tray. Slept with window open, facing a noisy expressway. Front desk lady offered no options or apologies, just cited their right to put me in a smelly room and to ignore my request and what I paid for, based on availability. However, plenty of people checked in after me. Fair enough, then it’s also our right as business travelers, especially in todays market, to choose from the plethora of other options for business travel / conference in the area.

This time around, if I was management, I would have advised clients well in advance that the aircon did not work and that (it seems to be) we were operating on much reduced staff... It remains a convenient stay-over-venue and I will be back to receive the service paid for...

It was my First stay at City lodge Lynnwood, initially l wanted to stay 2 days but due to the great service and friendly staff l ended up staying for 5 days, from the reception staff to the cleaners every thing was magnificent, Receptions are friendly the kitchen staff very welcoming. The waiters so professional, l was served by Vegas he kept on checking up on me, suggesting drinks and making small talks, he understood customer service soo much that l would recommend him to any one coming to Pretoria to order from him, and also this one gentleman called Thokozani who gives each and everyone his undivided attention and never fading smile. If you need any hotel don’t hesitate to come to Lynnwood city lodge Pretoria I am indeed a happy customer Just sad l couldn’t name each and every person.

Very neat. Better than your average City Lodge. No catering for halaal needs. Surprising in this woke day and age. Even management team seems ignorant of halaal needs. Alphonia tried. Refund for breakfast not an option if you have prepaid. Disappointed.
