Excellent gym, but how can a gym with so many members have only one squat rack? On some mornings the squat rack won't be available for the full hour and a half that I'm there. 2022 update: Added a star because the music really improved lately.

Don't know whats worse, the fact that you decided to automatically debit order for 2 months after my contract has ended or your rude and useless call center staff who said to me "maybe you should go read your contract" when i called in to try and resolve this issue. If i could give you zero stars i honestly would. Would not recommended planet fitness to anyone. Rather save yourself the trouble and just sign up with virgin active.

Planet Fitness Menlyn has excellent facilities. I transferred from the Queenswood Planet Fitness branch to the Menlyn branch and am truly satisfied with my choice! The equipment are kept clean and in well-serviced condition, the mens-room and other facilities are immaculate and the best of all you are always welcomed with a smile. All of the above motivates me to spend more time in the gym, but, the view of the Pretoria/Menlyn skyline is what gets me there!

Awesome gym, great location, friendly staff... Would get 4stars possibly 5 if they could get another Squat rack... It's quite a busy gym and members struggle to get a chance at the Squat rack since it's such a versatile and popular piece of equipment.

I have never seen a company/franchise this big, handling complaints so pathetically. Planet Fitness has been deducting the wrong amount for membership fees since May 2021 and to date, the issue has not been resolved, nor have I received any feedback regarding my query to date. My signed contract with the agreed membership fee, does not seem to be enough evidence for them to reimburse me! When I call, the answer remains "I don't know" - absolutely disgusted in the way PF conducts business.

After months after cancelling my contract, of false promises, after two years of not missing one payment, Planet Fitess refuses to stop debiting my account. I have phoned the call centre and head office, I have requested my policy documents, and never receive a response. Like clockwork, on the second of each month my account is debited, I reverse the debit order which leads to a follow up call from planet fitness wanting to know why I havent paid... (a cancelled policy). All the calls are recorded but nobody seems to ever know that the contract is cancelled, there are now over 10 calls of me cancelling my contract and thinking that the issue has been sorted out. I will never recommend this gym to anyone and will let everyone know of my absolutely awful experience. My only option is to go to the ombudsman. For a "health" related company you sure do cause a lot of stress.

If i could give half a star i would. I have never seen such unprofessional staff ever. They holler and harass paying clients to leave the gym earlier than the closing hours and then turn off the music and lights prematurely in order to close the gym earlier. Please appoint more competent staff who are willing to do the work. I will not be back

Admin is very slow, staff not always that helpful. Always request a hard copy of your contract on the day that you signed it. Had the case where the sales consultant changed dates and amounts on his copy and added onto the system. Luckily I still had the hard copy. Been waiting about 5 months for them ro rectify the problem. The gym itself is not that bad, can become a bit crowded but most of the time it's okay. They have more than enough cardio equipment.

Really bad service. Their agents are criminals. I went there to ask about membership fees and everything. Then I was happy about everything. I registered my details. I told them I would come back to confirm my membership, as there was a possibility of me moving back to Mpumalanga. So they told me they would not file my contract. I never paid for the tag to activate my membership, but they claimed I did. They then started debiting my account. I reversed the first debit order, I asked the agent who was helping by what means were they debiting my account, as I never paid for the tag nor used the gym even once. Forward to 5 months, they say my account has been handed over to lawyers. This was after I disputed the claim, had various calls with their head office about this matter. The head office people said that they see that my membership with the Branch (Menlyn Branch) is not yet activated, but the branch claims I have been to the gym. I don't know why they have to lie or make false claims in order to ruin other people's credit records. I did not use their facilities even once. The first and the last time I was there, I was even wearing formal.. You are criminals and are represented by criminals.

Nice clean modern club. Well equipped though entertainment function on machines dont always work and heart rate monitors dramatically inaccurate. Still, it's a pleasure to exercise in a clean and comfortable environment

From start to finish unfortunately they do not work hard enough on retaining customers, even the head office refuses to assist with billing and debits the wrong amount multiple times and still today.

Nice Gym, it is a little smaller than some other clubs, but it is well looked after, new machines, very clean, and the staff are always very friendly.

My happy place. Not the biggest gym, but you can easily work out effectively here if you arrive early before the crowd comes in. Staff are excellent and a pleasure to deal with.

Gym is not clean , equipment is rusted . I don't recommend personally to enroll at wanderes planet fitness.

Great amenities, clean throughout, spacious. Only issue though is that the WiFi doesn't quite reach/cover the lower floor and some equipment could be swapped out for others that would receive more use - there is plenty of space after all, why not put it to better use. Haven't had much interaction with staff, but they do seem capable and friendly.

Decent gym, but some of the weights need replacing. Can get crowded during peak times.

Relatively empty but quickliy gets crammed at peak hours. Atleast they have 2 squat racks now.

Cleanliness in a gym is a very important aspect for me. I see how they clean and I have witnessed several inspections - they were really pedantic. Keep it up! No gym is ever perfect in every aspect, so only 4 stars.

Very trendy, modern gym. Located right next to the N1 highway of Garsfontein, how convenient can you get? Love the wide open windows and the views of Pretoria East.

Very nice gym. Machines are a bit limited. But if you there during non peak hours its not an issue. Staff is friendly and helpful. The showers sometimes lack hot water and soap is not always full in the mornings, but I think they are fixing it gradually.

Would love it if they allowed you to use the stairs since the lifts always take long.

The gym is generally always clean, the staff is very friendly and the classes are great.

Modern gym. Didn't see any personal trainers. Not many staff on the floor. Help desk very helpful and efficient.

Have to change it to 1 star. Only one lat pull down machine, row combo. There was two, then they removed it. There are loads of other machines that are not being used. Every time doing back is a problem. You have to wait. I can understand they need more space, but remove a machine that doesn't have three or more purposes rather a machine with only one purpose which is hardly being used. Like the bench machine.

I love this gym. It's always so clean and inviting. The staff are excellent and fun loving which is dope.

The gym is very outdated and relatively small compared to the waterkloof and Lynnwood gyms. Some equipment hasn't been maintained, especially the plates (everything is falling apart). I wouldn't recommend training at this particular planet fitness.

Very unprofessional staff. Had an issue with the staff members turning some of the cardio equipment off half an hour before closing time. When l went to reception to enquire their attitude was very unhelpful and they did not want to assist me in still being able to use the cardio equipment for the last half an hour. Had an incident today as well with my black tag. Been gyming on a black tag for the last 8 months and now all of a sudden they don’t want to allow my gym partner in saying that l am not on a black tag contract. I asked for a black tag since day one and received one. If your internal admin is not up to date, please don’t harass members.

Great location. Fitness classes. Two floors. Various things to do. You can go for supper after your workout as Summit and Protea Hotel is next door
