ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS FOOD!!! Got the real roadhouse experience while dining here. The drive through was quite full but the service was still really fast and the food was served warm and with quality! All of the waiters are friendly and helpful!

Loved it here. They show Vids on a Big Screen, had a great laugh at some. The good was excelent the service was amazing. The whole vibe is just nice.

I always enjoy my time at Kota Joe in Wonderboom. The food is fresh- I ordered a burger for the first time, it was yummy and juicy. Their kiddies menu is also delicious and has many options that comes with chips and a drink

Kota Joe Wonderboom Roadhouse was just excellent. There was no issues and the vibe was just great. Service was excellent and with a smile. Food was fast very fast and funny enough the food came before the drinks, where it is usually the other way around, but this is not an issue as we opted for the take-away option. The music was great and the menu variety was great. We need more roadhouses like this in the smaller towns! Keep it up Kota Joe Roadhouse Wonderboom, I would recommend them and they will see us again!

I do indeed feel it is a must if you haven’t been! The whole atmosphere is pretty chilled and you can choose to have your meal as a take away, dine in their restaurant or even dine in your car. The staff are friendly and efficient which is always a pleasure when eating out. Their menu has quite a variety but their Kota’s are definitely the one! I’ve also tried their rib and wings basket, it’s is divine but in all honesty, for the price, it’s a bit of a rip off. My Kota was also a bit low on the chips but it still tasted great. Just based on the portion and prices I had to take down a star. I mean, if you’re going to advertise a fully loaded Kota and then not deliver it’s a bit off putting. Just one more thing that didn’t really make sense to me, they have a massive photo of a lady and a tiny milkshake on a mustang. Slightly distasteful and a bit contradictory for a restaurant who’s slogan is “Screw the diet”.

Awesome environment you can do a sit in or drive through. You can also eat from your car. The staff was super friendly and and service is not world class but you can really see the effort. The food is always wonderful I enjoy just about every there... The oreo milkshake is amazing. I wish there was a dedicated lane for driving through only cause sometimes you find yourself stuck between people that just want to sit and eat.

Tried this place for the first time yesterday. I love the vibe. The food is really something else, flavor profiles and attention to details. I had the chillie cheese and bacon burger which blew me away. The red chillie gave it the heat I never knew it needed. I cooled that down with their pinacolada crusher which really hit the spot. Overall a great experience, I would highly recommend this for date night.

Quite a busy spot but the setting arrangement is big enough to fit everyone. I had the cheesy bacon burger, KJ basket combo and tropical frulata. The burger was nice although the patty was a bit dry but overall was filling, the frulata was a 9/10 and the basket was 10/10, no reviews needed for that one. The customer service was good considering the large number of customers they had to attend to. Their drive through service is quick, if you can use it do option for it. N.B Kota Joe has the best take away packing ever #screwthediet 😂👍.

Saw the place while passing by and thought it looks like a great place to eat. What's gonna beat getting one nice KOTA in Wonderboom? Plus, it's not like anyone could really mess up the recipe of something as simple and widespread as a KOTA right? Right?! 😬 Long story short, I'd say this is a KOTA place that doesn't sell KOTA's at all. From a menu list of more than 80 items, there were only 3 KOTAs. The "KOTA" I got (refer to pictures show) is more of a stuffed burger 🍔 than anything else. Don't get me wrong, it tasted fine, but, the presentation is quite horrible. It doesn't use KOTA bread but something looking like an oversized hotdog 🌭 bun stuffed with dripping mustard sauce, a bacon, few chips, some chicken strips, and non-fresh salad veggies. And what's more insulting, it costs R99! The atmosphere is however nice and I had fun sitting there while not enjoying my meal.

I was here for the first time today, I loved the service and the food. There is table service and in car service, but we opted to sit in and enjoy our meal there🤸🏾‍♂️🤸🏾‍♂️ There is a lot of space for social distancing and the service was very quick. When it came to the food I chose to keep it simple with the cheese burger: which is basically a bun stuffed with chips, beef patty, lettuce, tomato and their special sauce🤤🤤🤤 It tasted amazing, but I decided to add their spicy sauce, and that complemented the meal so well. I am still not sure about their crushers. Because the lemon sorbet that I tried, was not something I would drink again. There was no favour, just ice with a bit of colouring🤫🤫🤫 But I loved the whole experience 🥰🥰🥰 I will definitely go back

Overall has such a cool atmosphere. It's a drive by where you get to order and eat in your car. They also have table space for those who want to fully dine in.

I have always heard of Kota Joe, so I decided to check them out. Best service ever, I ordered Jozi kota it wasn't as best as I expected it to be compared to the Kotas that I know, but it was a great one, it was made with love, the place is super clean and so are the stuff members, parking available or you can even order to eat in your car.

It appears cosy but it doesn’t have a nice seating structure. The nice view doesn’t have enough shades. It’s more convenient for drive in service as you will be in the comfort of your car.

Great food! Service was fantastic! The music was really not great. We had wonderful milkshakes! Prices are a bit high for what you get but overall a great experience and time!

I love everything about this place!!! The atmosphere, the set up is top notch and you can tell that a lot of investment was made. Food was fantastic and lived up to the name. The bathrooms need to be cleaned a little more regularly though, hence the 4 stars instead of 5. There were papers and sweet wrappers all over the floor, water all over the floor and quite a stench just outside the door.

Pretty cool spot. Went to get some ice cream, weirdly enough. Also got a Jozi Kota, which is nice. My only issue is that it only had one sauce in it and made it a bit dry and the atchaar had mango pits in it, that is a kota eaters worst nightmare. Fresh ingredients just needed more sauces in the kota.

Spathlo AKA Kota - a bunny chow and gatsby hybrid popular in SA but particularly in Gauteng 🇿🇦 We visited the iconic Kota Joe in Pretoria North, a drive-through roadhouse style restaurant where they both take your order and serve your meal while you're STILL in your vehicle. 🚗 There's a large variety of not only Kotas to choose from, but other meal items as well, namely burgers, pizzas, ribs and wings. Your typical restaurant food. 🍕🍖🍗 My Kota of choice was the spicy cheese with chicken - an absolutely delicious combination of flavorful chips, tasty chicken pieces all covered in a spicy cheesy sauce filled in a soft yet sturdy enough bread holder. I have no idea how the other kotas taste but I believe that this was certainly the best one 😋 Let me not forget about the truly decadent milkshakes 🥛. I had the oreo dark chocolate espresso - despite the long name, all the flavors pulled through and complimented each other really well ☕️🍫 If you're ever down in the PTA area screw your diet and hit up Kota Joe, you'll be in for a memorable experience 😁

They're food is always tasty especially for a roadhouse. Not your conventional kota but more of a bun with filling. The basket needs more ribs,can never get enough ribs,4 is just not enough lol. Clean vibrant environment and service was fast for a Friday. You can dine in your car or park and sit in. Menu has a decent variety. Wednesdays you can take the kids for their 2 for 1 milkshake special at R32/R33

I gave Kota Joe Wonderboom 5 stars a year ago.. Today I want to confirm these 5 stars!! (If I could, it would have been 10 stars). I sent an email just past 07h00 this morning to their information email. I got a response within half an hour and the manager phoned me back even before the restaurant opened. The manager is extremely helpful and went out of his way to accommodate us. Wish I did not love Kota Joe so much.. Luckily their food is affordable and really filling. Their food is fresh, tasty and always juicy. Love the specials as well! .. and they keep on adding delicious foods to the menu. I tried the new Honeycomb & Milky Bar today :D It is a shame they don't deliver.. or maybe that is a good thing. If it was up to me, I would have enjoyed breakfast, lunch as well as dinner from them.. Then again.. Screw the diet ;)

I think in any restaurant, takeaway or roadhouse the food is most important. Today I had the pleasure of trying the KJ Chicken Dog at Kota Joe's Wonderboom. Sadly, the best part of that meal was the slightly dry chicken and the bun. The two flavours of sauce don't really compliment each other in my opinion, But again that's just my opinion. Further more we had some lovely drinks and a very nice seating area to enjoy.
