I checked in and the first room I was given had a door that was broken to the point it wouldn't even close. The second room was at least safer however there were still substantial issues and was in violation of Virginia law. First maximum rates and liabilities we're not posted in the room though there were holes in the door where it looked like they used to be. This is contrary to Virginia administrative code 5-431-480 which states "and shall post in each guest's room the maximum charge for that room". Next there was a significant amount of mold in the bathroom which is disgusting and a safety issue as it can cause serious reactions in individuals with allergies and asthma. Additionally this is again against Virginia code which requires rooms to be clean and sanitary. "All buildings, other facilities, equipment fixtures, furnishings and the premises of a hotel shall be kept clean, in good repair, and maintained so as to protect the health, safety, and well-being of persons using those facilities." 12 Va. Admin. Code § 5-431-290 and "Toilets, lavatories and bath facilities shall be maintained in a clean and sanitary condition and maintained in good repair." 12VAC5-431-360 Additionally the caulk in the shower was not in good repair raising questions about the state of the structural components in the wall and violating 12VAC5-431-360 - Toilet, lavatory, and bath facilities requirements "Shower compartments with walls that are in accordance with the Virginia Uniform Statewide Building Code. An effective water-tight joint between the wall and the floor shall be maintained." There was also a wash cloth hanging in the shower that appeared to left by a previous patron in violation of 12VAC5-431-340 - Box springs, mattresses, bedding and linen requirements "All sheets, pillowcases, towels, washcloths, and bathmats shall be kept clean and in good repair, freshly laundered and sanitized between occupants and changed at least once every 7 days" The fridge was not clean on the interior and was unplugged when I arrived. The carpets were visibly dirty and damaged in violation of 12VAC5-431-320 - Room furnishing requirements "All equipment, fixtures, furniture, windows, and furnishings, including draperies, curtains, carpets, other floor materials shall be kept clean and free of dust, dirt, vermin, and other contaminants and shall be maintained in good order and repair." To further support the idea that this place isn't cleaned, a penny was left by the TV, in plain sight Finally there were exposed wires leading to a permanently installed light fixture. All that to say that there is a standard in place and this place needs a lot of work to get up to that standard, they should not be renting out rooms in this condition. Pictures are provided to support statements

The hotel was situated on a dark street, just off the highway. The check-in process was relatively simple... However, when I got to my room, it left A LOT to be desired. The lingering smell, inside, was as if someone had, recently, been laying on the bed, with dirty hair (you know that smell...). The carpet was dingy & lumpy & felt like holes were in the floor, under it. When I woke up, the next morning, a man, who claimed to be housekeeping, knocked on the door &, without waiting for an answer, inserted the key card & tried to come in. Thankfully, I had the security latch in place. A few minutes later, he knocked on the door, again. Mind you, all of this happened, BEFORE 9:00, on a Saturday morning. When, & where, does housekeeping service EVER start THAT early? I told the lady, at the front desk, when I checked out, about an hr later, & all she gave was a dry apology. Not sure what I was expecting, at this hotel, but, this WAS NOT it. Needless to say, I won't be staying here, again.

Hotel staff was friendly however the facility was filthy. The rooms smelled of smoke and had dead bugs as well as roaches. The linen was stained and bedding sheets stained as well. I would not recommend staying here. In addition, the room next door had racial graffiti on the ground outside of door. This left us very uncomfortable. There was no other hotels available an item was late so we had to stay but I could not rest and my asthma was staring due to the smoke smell. I was very disappointed and disgusted.

Room was reasonably clean. Linens and towels were nice. Staff was helpful and accommodating. AC was old and loud. The doors were difficult to close and could be heard from several rooms away. Overall I feel I got a good deal for the price. Thank you.

Everyone was super nice. Room was clean. Bed was comfy, pillows were awesome. Microwave, fridge and coffee maker all worked as they should. Closed captioning available on the TV. Missed breakfast time so I can't say if they served continental or not. Would recommend though, we've been here before.

Well, I was not expecting much from this place, and that is exactly what we got!! Mostly disgusting, but I did not spot any bugs, the beds were extremely comfortable, and the lady at the desk was nice enough. Makes a decent cheap(ish) midnight stop if your traveling, but would not reccomend an actual stay here. Sadly the quality of all Wyndham run hotels continues to go down hill. The carpet had holes and bad spots, the room stunk, the shower was cracked and broken, thier were stains on the ceiling, and our sink olny had hot water. Not the worst I have seen but not nice either, did seem safe and secure, despite the broken lock in our room.

Room was clean, but old with shoddy repairs. Fridge had mold in it though. Bed was comfortable and sheets fresh. Main desk worker was nice. Was very good for the price.

At 8:45 am a man tried to gain entry in my room with a key. When he couldn't make entry because of the latch, he began to kick door and he even hit it with his shoulder. Might I add he never knocked. Turns out it was housekeeping at 8:45 am when check-out time is at 11am. Afterwards I was screaming, asking him why he did that, he just said, sorry...sorry. The staff also apologized. I never got a definitive answer as to why he did that. I was shocked and dismayed by the whole ordeal, and also I was 2 hrs and 15 minutes inconvienced. I think this hotel chain should offer me a free nights stay of any hotel and location of my choice.

They have older gentleman and his wife cleaning the rooms and they dont change the sheets or blankets after every use of a room. They don't sanitize anything, much less sweep. This is and was my experience several times. I even got the same room 3 different times . Same dirty sheets and blankets on the bed. I was mortified! Purely disgusted!

The staff was nice and kind. The room was horrible. The iron board and iron just missed my wife's head when it fell from the wall. roll of toilet paper had mildew all over it. I took it back to the front desk to get a replacement roll. The toilet bowl seems to be leaking at bottom, probably from seal leaking at bottom. Next to the beds there are various marks on the walls. You could see that the bed sheet was clean, but a big dark stain would cause it to be tossed in most places. The shower had some mold and around the soap dish delamination was occurring. Also, construction was taking place on a room near us, and you could hear the loud noises. Easy fixes should be made. Also we should have been made aware of construction before the room was assigned. Totally Not happy. On the second day of my stay the key card didn't work and new ones had to be made. Was a hassle as I had to walk back in the rain after finding out the key card didn't work. I suppose I could have driven but it wasn't that far to walk even in the rain

The outside of the buildings is nice and the pool area is decent. The rooms show their age and I suspect they were born in the early sixties. Sinks and tubs are stained and corroded, grout and caulk are dirty and moldy. Beds were ok, shower curtain was new. No waffle for breakfast. Bagels, toast, two cereals, oatmeal, juice and coffee. Not bad but still no Waffle. Ok if you're just passing through.

Sheets were filthy with crumbs, blood, and hair. Stained towels but we brought our own. Front desk female during the day was mean. Night shift man was nice, no extra sheets to change. Housekeeping was nice. Pool felt great but bugs in pool by night fall. Breakfast was bagels, mini muffins, toast, packaged oatmeal, juice boxes (do not replenish if other guests takes them all), coffee, cream, sugar, cream cheese, water hot/cold, milk, 2 different cereals. Room smelled like weed and liquor spilled on carpets, tub was chipping from being painted we brought our own sanitizer. Fridge was cold. Microwave worked no bugs in room. Needs major update and attitude adjustment. Wifi was good

Wasn't here for very long but from my point of view it's nice and quiet here and rooms are very clean.. however.... With all the motels getting shut down in Ptsbg on Washington n Crater, those that don't like the motel atmosphere on 460 n County Dr will soon be flocking south on 95 to this Days Inn and Red Roof and others and soon this place will be overpopulated. It's sad and sometimes can't be avoided that some have to live in motels cos it's better than the streets

This has by far been the worst experience at a motel I've ever had. My door locked me in my motel room and they refused to come until the very next day to pry it open ONLY because it was check out time. I starved all night because of their reckless negligence. It's prob why there isn't even a single car in the parking lot because they're so rotten. The woman told me she let my partner speak to the manager and that was a lie as I was on the phone when he went to the front desk after our little situation. They refused to refund they made me pay for another night.

Room smelled of smoke, old, tired, water leaks on the ceiling. My dog stays better at the pet hotel. Cannot recommend this for this price.

Place minds me as a grand old lady that has seen better days. The room had peeling paint, the door lock had serious issues The breakfast had no waffle maker the juice machine was. Broken. The room was clean and the front desk was nice and. Efficient

The place is worn but you can see they tried to fix it with new paint job. Sheets were clean as well as bathroom but alarm clock had not been touched for a long time.

This was a convenient stay for a night being to tired to continue to drive, the room was extremely clean, other than it being very old, the beds were clean, shower and toilet were clean, and the sink was clean. The shower had water scum on the shower head so that was a bit off putting, the rooms are also older so don’t expect it to look like a hilton, the paint is chipped, the floor is not in perfect condition, the appliances are old but honestly with that said this wasnt a bad spot. The front desk was also super nice and easy to check in. The room did smell but not like mold or something terrible just that old settled smell. The door is a bit sketchy but again the hotel is just older. This is perfect for a night stay and nothing longer, wouldn’t be so quick to be picky when prices are good. I think the bad reviews come from people who don’t usually budget spend on hotels, we had a good room and had a happy overnight stay.

At first check in & first room smelled like smoke 🚬 & Tub was peeling paint badly & chipping!. Asked for another room & it was just a tad better!. PVC tubes showing on ceiling & flooring with electrical wires. Bathroom sink was coming apart from counter!. The vanity was broke & the most important thing was they didn't clean the room not once!. They just exchanged the towels out & that's it!. Would not recommend this place to no one!. And will not stay there again!.

The room that I had was totally bad. Walls were peeled to the sheetrock a big spot. Lights flicker and the floor dirty. The first room I got the key didn't work so gave me different room. The one I just spoke about. I won't be going there again.

The door was broken and very difficult to open and close. The fridge made a knocking noise the entire time. The room was clean and staff was friendly. They even quietly left fresh towels and toilet paper by the door since we had a "Do not disturb" sign.

This location is perfect, it's off Interstate 95. Our stay was not the greatest. As soon as we opened the door it felt like it was not cleaned, the door was not fit properly (at least we were able to lock it). One wall had paint spots. Bathroom was ok, one towel was clean the others had stains on them. Dual sinks, one work, but other one had brown water when I opened it. I don't think sheets were cleaned at all, we slept on top of the the top sheet. Pillows were confy though. Thank god we only needed to crash for one night. I do not recommend staying at this Hotel. There are others in the same area, but wonder if they are the same as this one. Gentleman at the front desk was really nice though. Great location but it needs to be upgraded.

The room was neat but the smell was awful. My children were scared the enter the room and would have rather stayed in the car. The water tasted like beach water. The towels and washcloths had brown spots on it. Being in the room made us feel very itchy. The TV system sucks. We do not recommend staying at this hotel.

Hotel was very disgusting!!! Old smelly furniture. Paint peeling off the walls. Bathroom door rotten & wouldn't close. Shower was leaking water on the floor. Blankets & sheets had stains. The grossest hotel ever. I'd sleep in my car instead.

Asked for extra pillows but never got them. The floor needed to be swept but overall it was fine for a night. Desk clerk was very nice and professional.

Better off sleeping in my car… The room had a funky smell, nonsmoking room even had cigarette holes on it. We got three room side by side and the kid’s room had so many bugs even tiny spiders they couldn’t sleep in it.

Stopped here on a FL to MA drive. The only good things about this stay were the location (close to the highway) and the large parking lot (room to park the trailer I was towing). The bad: - thin walls (you can hear everything in neighboring rooms) - dirty room (some photos included of letters scratched into the soap scum in the shower, stains on the wall, stains on the bed skirt) - non functioning WIFI despite that being the big advertised item on the sign - dead bugs in the bathroom ceiling light - door locks would only shut from the outside by slamming them (which is very inconvenient for other guests) Do yourself a favor and go to a different motel.

Rooms were clean and had cable and two sinks for a couple or family to use. Asked for shower towels and they were delivered. Appeared to be owned by a family of hard workers. Would definitely stay there again if in the area.

Great place. Easy on easy off the Hwy. They have food places near by. Rms are clean, had a nice hot shower (water not Luke warm, fix to your desired temperature). Friendly representative. I will stay here again. They have smoking and non-smoking room.

Wyndham needs to reconsider it's policy on branding these older motels. This wasn't the worst of the three motels this trip, but it was the 2nd worst. They had two chairs in the room we wouldn't even sit in. I've traveled a lot and this place just isn't up to Wyndham standards. We've about decided to rule out any outside access motels under the Wyndham banner for the foreseeable future. Wyndham motels with inside hallway access seem to be better. It's tough to review and not seem like a complainer when all three motels sucked, but I took the photos and if any Wyndham quality control teams visited, they would not like what they see.

Typical 3rd world owned hotel. So nasty and run down. Broken items, bedding and bed gross and room in disrepair. Room security locks broken. Breakfast advertised on outside sign and on website but given a bag with old soft fruit, granola bar and water bottle. Would never stay here again. This appears to be standard for Wyndham. They franchise to anyone and it shows.

The rooms are disgusting, & the staffs kindness does not outweigh their lack of cleanliness. I can tell the floors were not swept at all , we didn’t even pull the sheets back due the room being so dirty and we switched rooms because the first room was filthy as well . The fridge had mold in it in the first room the second room the fridge smelled like paint and wasn’t even working. Had i not been so tired I definitely would’ve gotten a refund but after a 20hr drive we were to tired and slept fully clothed and on top of the covers. Highly DO NOT RECOMMEND. Place needs to be completely remodeled and cleaned. If you get room 510 or 507 just decline
