We love this park. It has easy and moderate trails, a playground, and plenty of different types of spaces to enjoy the day. I use these trails very regularly and they are always well maintained and you can easily adjust your route to suit what you are looking to achieve. The rangers are all incredibly friendly as well.

Loved this park. Would actually love to camp there when I step it up to that level. Only got to do one hike due to time constraints but so many appealing options. Lovely park, quiet but not secluded. Trails are well kept, visible blazers and great scenery. Family and dog friendly. Ranger @ visitor center was knowledgeable and very helpful. Would love to go back.

I’ve only really started taking advantage of this great resource in the last year or so after living in the area for many years, and it makes me a bit sad that it took that long for me to do so. I now run, hike, and cycle here regularly both solo and with my family, and it’s been a real joy. As National parks go it’s quite basic, and it certainly couldn’t compete with many, but it has its beauty and peace and I really enjoy spending time here.

Great experience ! We did the Laurel Trail Loop! Great for family hikes and bigger children. Beautiful areas of shallow water and rocks The bathroom was super clean and refreshing. We definitely be back.

Great park! Trails are well maintained and easy to follow, and it's just huge (I managed to hike 12 miles but there were miles more of trails I didn't even see) And it can't be understated that there are... So. Many. Trees. I know it's a forest park, but wow. If you think "forest bathing" sounds like something you want to try, this is the A+ premium place to do it. Beautiful greenery in every nook and cranny of this extensive well maintained forest.

Have visited twice now and love this place. A beautiful experience in nature. Saw a deer right off the children’s loop path the first time I visited. The second time, I took the Laurel trail loop and it was just so pretty and calming. The area by the creek is serene.

Always awesome! Beautiful trails. You can do easy, medium or hard πŸ˜‰ Fauna and flora abound. Kinda dry right now but lovely pools and falls to relax by or have a picnic.

Love this park! Close by for us. TONS of trails for everyone too. You can grab an easy stroll on the fire roads or something a tad more challenging on some of the trails. Visitor center has some nice gifts. Don't forget to have your National Park Passport stamped there too. They have primitive and full hook up campsites. We've never used them but they look nice. About a 3 mile dedicated bike lane on the scenic drive. Note that once you pass about parking lot C you have to go all the way around the scenic loop to get out of the park. There's parking lots throughout so you can change up the entrance trails you use as well.

Very nice for bikes, hiking, and running. The Scenic Loop is about 8 miles and has dedicated lanes for bike/pedestrian much of the way. There were parking lots for hiking throughout the park. There did not seem to be much in the way of infrastructure (bathrooms, pavilions, playgrounds, etc) outside of the visitor center. There were two campgrounds, but I did not visit either of these.

We did a lovely 4 mile hike around the Farm to Forest Trail! The weather was perfect and there were not too many other hikers despite it being Saturday. There first signs or spring were popping up all over!

Beautiful place to walk any time of the year. Every season is different. Great for camping, facilities are very clean and has amazing picnic areas. There are 40 miles of trails. It is safe and just learn where the parking areas are. I have walked every trail near the parking lots areas.

We’ve visited here a few times; it’s a great place to bike or hike. The land navigation or orienteering option is nice as well. Everything is well maintained and the park staff are extremely friendly and helpful. We will continue to visit and explore.

I come here ro run or hike each week. They have some pretty areas that the trails wind through especially along any of the creeks. There are also camping and picnicking areas that I'd like to try out.

Took our Boy Scout troop here for our summer trip, great little natural are outside of Washington DC. Low cost per night and nice bathhouses available make it an excellent choice for travelers or families looking to stay outside of the capital. Word of warning though, they have only one bathhouse for nearly 90 sites, so head for the showers early.

A beautiful area to walk around, so much stuff to do you'll have to come back! I enjoyed the scenery and the quietness of the trail I was on. Great stuff!

Rangers were very friendly and helpful. Park was clean and a great place to drive through with the family. Lots of history, which we did not have time to explore.
