As a landmark of the city it’d be silly not to pass by, but situated where it is and on a busy road means there isn’t a great deal else to do in the immediate area. However this does also mean (certainly every time I passed anyway) that it isn’t swamped with tourists continually and people taking photos. There’s not any signage explaining the significance which I spotted but with the ever changing design it’s something worth revisiting each time you’re in the city.

This year's theme is Ukraine with no new born slogan. I think it's a beautiful way to express and remind people the country's indepence.

I enjoyed this "monument". It's very unique and special for Kosovo. The importance of it joined with the artistic aspect of the monument makes it a "must see" in Pristina. Its also very central too.

Each year, a different word is written with the letters form the monument. The Newborn letters this year changed to NoNewBR, Br means Broken Republic. The message refers to situations in both Kosovo and Ukraine.

It’s mostly symbolic than an attraction though it serves so for tourists. 1) very much accessible and easy to find near the city center. 2) the color theme is changed periodically 3) not worth altering one’s route to visit it, but it’s nice to stop by.

The NEWBORN monument symbolizes the “new Kosovo”. When Kosovo celebrated their fifth year of independence, the seven letters were painted into the colors of all the flags of the countries that recognizes Kosovo. Since then, every year, the statue changes in other colors.

It is an interesting monument not because of its beauty, but because of what it represents. Kosovo is a new country, born in 2008.

An important image located in the center of Pristina. A sculpture that is frequently mentioned while telling or telling someone when you want to find direction. Also it has good story. BROKEN REPUBLIC

The idea is fine. But Prishtina still has long way from opulence and magnificence. Sometimes peace is more important than those.

The surroundings is maybe not the best, but the place itself is a place where one needs to come when visiting Pristina.

The iconic monument for the new Kosovo state. The lication in front of a slightly run down shopping centre is a bit underwheling but the monument itself is great, and a definite step forward from sinilar monuments in other cities that are just the place name. Each year the design is redone and they tend to be provocative and thought-provoking. Very cool.

It is a meaningful simbol of the creation of a new state but of a people with long history and ancient roots. Nice little square in the center of Prishtina.

A nice historical place to visit in Kosovo, you can connect many other attractions near to this as it’s in centre and the same time you can see many nice historical sculptures as well as the library, Museums, old mosques 🕌 and in case of being tired you have many options to eat in Restaurants or cafes to drink something as there are many options which you can choose.

We talking about heartfelt people who’s willing to help you and such a nice services compère to the size of the city and population. That’s tells me a lot about this place and people, you can’t see a fight on the streets or in other words people are respectful so be too and you’ll enjoy this place. People smoking everywhere that’s not good.

Considering its meaning, the area doesn't seem to be well taken care of. There were bunch of young local guys hanging about and make a tourist uncomfortable.

not bad, after the show in skopje it seemed a little dull to me, but that doesn't mean it's bad, I like it, change is good.

Interesting tourist attraction. Located in a center of a city with beautiful environment. There are many cafe bars, restaurants and stores near. The name itself is quite interesting because it describes and symbolizes a birth of a new country. With bright and vivid colors it is a great place to take photos.

  • 1/5 J C. 7 months ago on Google
They obviously don't take this symbol of their nation very seriously. It really isn't worth the five minute walk from where you're staying. The very least they could do is keep the surrounding area clean.

  • 4/5 Monika G. 8 months ago on Google
Apparently there is some dissent as the sign currently reads NONEWBR with BR standing for Broken Republic. Let’s hope that’s not the case!

(Translated by Google) We can say the more active part of the city. You can also stay somewhere on the street or you can have an affordable apartment in this area. As the city is small in general, daily trips can be made to Skopje and Prizren. (Original) Şehrin daha hareketli olan kısmı diyebiliriz. Daha cadde üstü bir yerde de konaklayabilirsiniz veya bu civarda da kendinize hesaplı bir apartman dairesi tutabilirsiniz. (Translated by Google) Beautiful monument that is given a new layer of lacquer once in a while. It was a pity that (when we were there) it was only readable in mirror image. On the "readable" side it was deposited in such a way that you couldn't take pictures with it.
